Taylor Sheridan’s critically acclaimed Yellowstone is all set to approach its end this year with Season 5 Part 2. But the Dutton universe is far from its conclusion as Sheridan has expanded it with multiple spin-off shows. While two prequel shows 1883 and 1923 have already been successful, the Dutton Ranch is reportedly introducing Kurt Russell in a planned sequel spin-off.
Kurt Russell in The Hateful Eight | FilmColony
The Yellowstone universe has always boasted immense star power with Kevin Costner in the canonical series, Tim McGraw in 1883, and Harrison Ford in 1923. Matthew McConaughey and Michelle Pfeiffer were also reported to join the cast in an upcoming spin-off. While we still do not have any updates about their casting, Kurt Russell has a strong possibility.

Sabrina Carpenter is a master of the art of the music video and her clip for “Please Please Please” is no exception. The storyline for the video might be a little confusing to viewers who aren’t huge fans of the “Espresso” singer. Carpenter revealed that the music video for “Please Please Please” was connected to one of her previous hits. Interestingly, “Please Please Please” also drew inspiration from a number of classic movies.
Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Please Please Please’ is a sequel to ‘Espresso’
According to a 2024 Vogue article, Carpenter reflected on the popularity of her single “Espresso.” “I’m feeling like I will never pay for another coffee again, and I’m so grateful and excited for people to hear the whole record,” she said. “It’s so close to me!”
The “Nonsense” singer said that the “Please Please Please” singer was a sequel to the “Espresso” video.

A six-minute music video for Ariana Grande's latest single, "The Boy is Mine," has been released, and it finds the pop megastar channelling iconic Batman baddie/love interest, Catwoman.
The premise of the video focuses on You star Penn Badgley as the mayor of an unnamed city (we're guessing they couldn't call it Gotham), who decides to unleash an army of stray cats to rid the streets of a rat infestation. Grande plays a woman who is obsessed with the mayor and creates a love potion to make him fall for her.
Then, in a scene which appears to pay homage to Michelle Pfeiffer's Selina Kyle creating her costume in Tim Burton's Batman Returns, Grande dons a homemade Catwoman suit of her own and takes to the streets.
The tune is a single from Grande’s newest album, Eternal Eunshine, and samples Brandy and Monica's 1998 hit of the same name.

Although Yellowstone is set to come to an epic conclusion with its final season, we haven’t seen the last of the Dutton family, not by a long shot. A new Yellowstone spinoff series will continue the story, and according to Jeff Sneider, the legendary Kurt Russell is circling a role in the project.
Nothing has been confirmed at the moment, but Kurt Russell has been mentioned before in relation to Yellowstone. The Tombstone actor is no stranger to the genre, and it would be easy to imagine him joining the franchise. It reported last month that Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes would be reprising their roles of Rip, Beth, and Kayce in the new show, and another Hollywood icon could be joining them: Michelle Pfeiffer.

Despite her age, Dakota Fanning may very well be one of the most experienced actors on any given set. Her big-screen career began at the mere age of seven when she shared scenes with Hollywood heavyweights like Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeiffer in I Am Sam.

As Fanning takes on her latest role in M. Night Shyamalan’s The Watchers, it’s worth considering how her earlier experience in the horror genre, namely Steven Spielberg’s War of the Worlds, may have influenced her acting approach. Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone counts among the rare few projects in Hollywood that have managed to not only garner love and respect among fans and critics but also shock and awe among industry experts for its sheer scale of storytelling. It comes as no surprise then that the ending of such a greatly beloved series would be met with a little resistance, even from its own cast members.

Their story which was supposed to stretch for no less than 7 seasons has been abruptly cut short and with the series already in its final leg, emotion cuts particularly deep knowing they have to forever leave behind the characters they nurtured to grow for the past 7 years.

Despite the dense filmography of Taylor Sheridan involving Western ranches and criminal turf wars, his magnetic writing makes every story feel as grand and cinematic as it can get. With Yellowstone, the Dutton family tale is a specular and sprawling one filled with Machiavellian schemes and outright battles. Their story, although volatile, is also an addictive one that has quickly become beloved by millions of fans around the globe.

Kevin Costner has been a very committed actor who continues to give his all with every film he does. His breakout role in The Untouchables led him to many acclaimed performances in films like Field of Dreams, Bull Durham, and A Perfect World among others. He has also established himself as a great filmmaker directing two impressive westerns Dances With Wolves and Open Range.

Costner has been dreaming about his passion project Horizon: An American Saga since the 90s, envisioning it as a four-film saga. Costner has already shot the first two films and recently premiered the first film at Cannes. Unfortunately, it received mediocre reviews which put into question the fate of the remaining three films, in addition to the actor/director finding problems filming parts 3 and 4.

While his scripts and movies perfectly speak for just how brilliant he is, Taylor Sheridan’s excellence doesn’t stop there.
Though his ingeniously developed storylines and character arcs are one thing, what further sets him apart from nearly all the other mastermind legendary filmmakers and showrunners in Hollywood’s entire entertainment industry are his immaculate convincing skills.

Even though the Internet is still trying to get a full picture of what happened between Taylor Sheridan and Kevin Costner that the only possible decision was for the actor to leave the show, it is time to move on to the next chapter of Yellowstone. Like it or not, the next spinoff of the show will have to adapt its story to Kevin Costner's absence.

Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone is coming to an end with the second part of the final season, currently in production. It was reported that Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes would return in the spinoff. Earlier reports suggested that the spinoff is eyeing top actors like Matthew McConaughey and Michelle Pfeiffer, who are pricier than the three aforementioned Yellowstone stars.

The sixth and final season of the Paramount Network series Yellowstone is currently in production, aiming for a November 2024 premiere – but the franchise is going to end with the series finale of the flagship show. There have already been reports about a sequel series that may end up starring Matthew McConaughey and Michelle Pfeiffer, alongside returning Yellowstone cast members. Apparently Paramount had a bumpy time getting those returning cast members on board – a couple months ago, it was reported that they were holding out for bigger paydays – but it looks like the deals have been signed now. According to Puck, Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes are officially on board to reprise the roles of Rip, Beth, and Kayce on the Yellowstone sequel series.

Image Source: Paramount Pictures Be honest: Did you secretly watch Grease 2 a million times as a kid? Because even though it was kind of panned back in the day, there’s something about it, right? That Michelle Pfeiffer energy, the out-there songs… it’s weirdly lovable. Why Grease 2 Exists Is a Whole Story… Grease was a total accident hit! The sequel was a quick cash grab, and, well, the original stars weren’t interested. But, early Michelle Pfeiffer is pure magic, even if the script isn’t. Cool Rider – Masterpiece or Trainwreck? You either get totally hooked on this song, or it makes you cringe. What’s your take? The soundtrack throws 50s sounds at you, then pure 80s beats. It’s a mess, but kind of unforgettable. Turns Out, it Was Almost Even Weirder! Imagine this: Andy Gibb as the lead, , even Cher almost had a role!

It has been 84 years since Catwoman made her debut in the DC Universe; she has been an influential character within the Batman franchise. Over 8 decades, Selina Kyle has been showcased as a cat burglar, a villain, sometimes a hero, and having a romantic interest in The Caped Crusader. Since the Batman franchise has been rebooted over the years, several big names have portrayed The Cat, and each one of them has brought something new to the table, adding to the Cat Burglar’s antihero legacy.

Perception is everything. Filmmakers often toy with reality by unscrewing the story from the unreliable narrator’s vantage point. In filtering events through a distorted lens, incrementally unraveling the truth, writers and directors keep the viewer tip-toeing through a battlefield littered with dynamite. Darren Aronofsky’s mother! and Mitzi Peirone’s Braid shift reality like tectonic plates. Both are illusory, fever dreams that don’t even seem real. The filmmakers test our mental capacity and push our patience for such absurdism to the absolute limits.

It can even happen that films become overshadowed by the songs written and recorded specifically for them, and people tend to forget that they were originally soundtracks that lost any association with their origins.
Here are 5 dramas surpassed in popularity by their music themes, according to Reddit.
Dangerous Minds (1995)
Michelle Pfeiffer’s underrated gem presumably comes first in this respect, as everybody knows Gangsta's Paradise by Coolio, while the movie is unfairly forgotten. In fact, the story of a teacher taking up a job in East Palo Alto, a racially segregated and economically deprived city, is worth a try, apart from its cultish main song.
Chariots of Fire (1981)
“More people know the chariots of fire song than have actually seen the movie,” fairly admits @goldbloodedinthe404.

Like many children of the 80s, I have a soft spot for the 1985 adventure epic Ladyhawke. It’s directed by the great Richard Donner, with it coming just before The Goonies and Lethal Weapon, but after his time with the Superman franchise. Lavishly produced, it wasn’t a hit in 1985 despite having a top-notch cast that included the late Rutger Hauer (in a rare heroic role), Michelle Pfeiffer, and Matthew Broderick. While some might say the latter was rather improbably cast as an Italian thief in the Middle Ages, that’s not actually the weirdest thing about the movie.
Donner has a reputation for always choosing superb composers for his films. Just think about how iconic Michael Kamen and Eric Clapton’s work is for Lethal Weapon, John Williams’s Superman theme, Jerry Goldsmith’s work on The Omen, and Dave Grusin’s score for The Goonies. Yet, one score...

Taylor Sheridan’s one Yellowstone spinoff is yet to start production after being greenlit in 2021. The series titled 6666 was set up in one of the episodes of Season 4 of Yellowstone when Jimmy Hurdstrom, played by Jefferson White, left the Montana ranch to work in the 6666 ranch in Texas.
Sheridan himself revealed the reason why 6666 is taking time to reach the small screen, and the reason suggests that the series may take even more time to get made.
Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone spinoff 6666 won’t be happening anytime soon
Unlike Yellowstone or its prequels, 1883 and 1923, 6666 is set in a real-world location in the modern day. The Four Sixes ranch in Texas is the breeding ground for the world’s finest horses and livestock, taken care of by world-class cowboys who are born and trained there.

Michelle Pfeiffer is a three-time Oscar nominee who has starred in a variety of classics in her long career, excelling at everything from comedy to drama, romance and action. Take a look back at 15 of her greatest films, ranked worst to best.
Pfeiffer has had a 40+-year career on screen and has managed to overcome being known at first just for her looks. While her beauty was prominently on display in many of her first roles she quickly became more than just a pretty face and plunged herself into deeper and more complex roles. Pfeiffer’s first professional acting job was on a TV series version of the film “Animal House” called “Delta House.” Her character on the TV show was referred to simply as “The Bombshell.” This debut hardly signaled the arrival of an actress good enough to someday earn three Oscar nominations and seven Golden Globe nominations along with one win.

Only one episode remains in Season 3 of “Chucky,” and what a bloody road it’s been so far, especially for actor Devon Sawa. The actor has now officially died twice on screen this season, pulling double duty as President James Collins and body double Randall Jenkins.
If you thought Chucky’s ruthless eye-gouging of the President was bloody, this week’s Episode 7 traps Randall Jenkins in an elevator that feels straight out of an iconic horror classic.
Bloody Disgusting spoke with series creator Don Mancini and actor Devon Sawa about that ultra-bloody death sequence and how the actor inspires Mancini’s writing on the series.
Mancini explains, “Devon’s a bit of a muse. Idle Hands and Final Destination is where my Devon Sawa fandom started, like a lot of people; although yours may have started with Casper. I was a bit too old for that. But it’s really...

“If you hear a fire alarm, take it seriously,” the woman at the podium announced. “Proceed calmly, but exit swiftly.
This was a step beyond the standard “put away your cell phones” introduction, but this was no ordinary movie––we were seated to watch an original nitrate print of George Sidney’s rousing 1950 musical Annie Get Your Gun. Taylor Sheridan has made a massive name in television after making Yellowstone for Paramount Network. The neo-Western series starring Kevin Costner has been running for five seasons with numerous spin-offs attached to it. It is commendable that most of the Yellowstone content is written by Sheridan himself. However, his approach was a bit different initially.
Kevin Costner in Yellowstone
Taylor Sheridan did not think about writing most of the series himself from the start. Initially, he wanted to borrow the style of the Arrowverse co-creator Greg Berlanti. Unfortunately, the concept of a writer’s room did not work for Sheridan and he took on the task of telling the tales to the audience the way he wanted.
Why did Taylor Sheridan’s plan for a writer’s room for Yellowstone fail?
Taylor Sheridan created and acted in Yellowstone
The presently defunct- Arrowverse was one of the biggest things in television.

A number of major media franchises suffered immensely in their filming and production schedules due to the SAG-AFTRA strikes that took place last year. Yellowstone features Kevin Costner as the leader of the Dutton family, as the final season of the show is delayed as well. However, the strikes were not the only reason that caused the delay to the Western drama series, as Matthew McConaughey is stalling the deal for the lead role in a spin-off series.

The actor delaying the deal has put the show’s schedule behind, causing trouble for both the cast and crew of the drama series. However, this delay would cost him immensely as Michelle Pfeiffer is all set to take over the lead role in a new not-yet-titled spin-off show based on the original show.

2023 may yet be remembered as the year the superhero movie died. Peyton Reed's "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania" was released in February 2023 and was the first notable comic book-based bomb of the year. The film was notoriously re-jiggered throughout its production, with massive and expensive SFX being finalized up to the last minute. The official budget ballooned to $200 million, although separate reports have pegged the price tag as being closer to that of Disney's notorious box office misfire "John Carter" (which cost $263 million to make). "Quantumania" still grossed $464 million, but that's considered low for a Marvel movie.
Throughout 2023, more bombs dropped as superhero movies either lost money or were considered disappointments. "Shazam! Fury of the Gods," "The Flash," "Blue Beetle," "The Marvels," and "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom" all tanked, and while many went to see "Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3," it felt like the last kick in a closing series.

Michael Douglas wanted to have a “serious” death scene in 2023’s Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania and requested his character be killed off.
As the actor promoted his Apple TV+ series Franklin, Douglas opened up about the Marvel film in which he played Dr. Hank Pym. Ahead of the third film in the Ant-Man saga, the actor said he asked for his character to die.
“This actually was my request for the third one,” Douglas said on The View. “I said I’d like to have a serious [death], with all these great special effects. There’s got to be some fantastic way where I can shrink to an ant size and explode, whatever it is. I want to use all those effects.”
He continued, “But, that was on the last one. Now, I don’t think I’m going to show up.”

“This actually was my request for the third one,” Douglas explained of his desire for his character to die. “I said I’d like to have a serious [death], with all these great special effects. There’s got to be some fantastic way where I can shrink to an ant size and explode, whatever it is.
He continued, “I want to use all those effects. But, that was on the last one. Now, I don’t think I’m going to show up.”

Kevin Costner has been at an impasse with the producers of “Yellowstone” for over a year about whether or not he’ll return for the hit Paramount Network drama’s final season. In a nutshell, Costner wanted his shooting schedule and his character John Dutton’s exit to be on his own terms, and showrunner Taylor Sheridan does not agree. As of now, “Yellowstone” Season 5 is slated to shoot this spring and summer, without Costner.
But Costner says he’s still open to returning to wrap up Dutton’s storyline – with conditions.
On Tuesday, Costner was at CinemaCon in Las Vegas promoting his upcoming Western epic “Horizon,” the film for which he wanted to cut short his time on “Yellowstone” to direct. Entertainment Tonight asked him whether he’ll return to “Yellowstone,” and, well, it doesn’t sound like it’s going to happen.
