Born in Los Angeles, California.
Douglas Shamburger's career has span almost 40 years in the film and television industry.
Working on classic TV shows like The Golden Girls and the original Wonder Years all the way up to the hit TV series Desperate Housewives and so many others.
He worked on a host of Urban classic films that date back to Robert Townsend's Meteor Man and the unforgettable Next Friday and Friday After Next movies produced by and starring Ice Cube. As well as the not to be forgotten 2nd installment of the Fast and Furious franchise entitled 2Fast2Furious directed by the late great John Singleton. Other memorable films include the Oscar nominated film Fences directed by and starring Denzel Washington this is the film that garnered Viola Davis her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress thus achieving the Triple Crown of Acting (Academy Award, Emmy and Tony Awards)
As a 2nd generation sound technician picking up where his father Lee Shamburger left off Douglas has worked on numerous hit TV shows as well as a long list of films that had box office success. Most recently Oppenheimer Winning the Cinema Audio Society Award for Best Sound on a Feature Film while also having another film he worked on Killers of The Flower Moon also nominated for this same category.
Additionally, Oppenheimer reached the Billion Dollar mark Globally and Won for Best Picture and in seven other categories it was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Sound on a Feature film. Working in production sound as a dialogue playback operator in the late 1990's on the film Doctor Doolittle starring Eddie Murphy led to an opportunity for Douglas to lend his voice to the project at the request of the film's Director Betty Thomas and him being Taft Hartley'd into the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) spawning a passion for voice over acting on various other projects to this day.
Douglas and his wife currently live in California they have two adult daughters.
