When The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon debuted seven years ago, it seemingly tried to distinguish itself from the major sitcom that reshaped the TV universe. Sheldon ditched the live audience, lost the multi-cam set up, and went for more of a Wonder Years or Everyone Hates Chris vibe, focussing mainly on family values and 22-minute stories of morality.
That’s not to say that Young Sheldon forgot where it came from, however. The show has borrowed several Big Bang story threads in order to create continuity and expand on Sheldon Cooper’s history. Yet there are some major holes that haven’t been addressed that fans of both shows have noticed.
With Young Sheldon’s final season just around the corner, here are some of the biggest questions left unanswered in the Big Bang universe.

The Big Bang Theory would've been entirely different if the producers hadn't scrapped the original pilot which didn't include Kaley Cuoco's Penny.
The Big Bang Theory had a successful run on the network, with the show running for 12 seasons and 279 episodes. It even led to a spin-off show named Young Sheldon that chronicled the early life of Parson's iconic character.
Unfortunately, Young Sheldon's upcoming seventh season will serve as its last, marking the end of The Big Bang Theory universe for the time being.

Stars: Allan Hawco, Emily Alatalo, Adam Kenneth Wilson, Wesley French, Natalie Brown, Mary Antonini, Alex Lifeson | Written by Nick Cutter, Ian Weir | Directed by Rodrigo Gudiño
The Breach, not to be confused with Breach, is the second feature from Rue Morgue founding editor Rodrigo Gudiño (The Last Will and Testament of Rosalind Leigh). Co-written by Nick Cutter and Ian Weir based on Cutter’s novel, its mix of haunted house and mad scientist themes attracted a lot of pre-release buzz which I was hoping it would live up to.
John Hawkins has one week left as sheriff of Lone Crow. Then he can put the town, and his ex Meg, behind him and start a new job in the city. That, of course, means something terrible has to happen before he can leave. And it does when a canoe bearing the mutilated remains of theoretical physicist Cole Parsons washes up at a local park.

Summer jobs for high schoolers are getting a lot cooler.
IndieWire has confirmed that Kane Parsons, the 17-year-old creator of “The Backrooms” YouTube series, has been tapped by A24, Chernin Entertainment, 21 Laps Entertainment, and Atomic Monster to direct a feature-length adaptation of the series. The film is being written by “Dmz” creator Roberto Patino, who will also serve as an executive producer on the project. Production will take place during Parson’s summer vacation.
“The Backrooms” became a viral phenomenon in 2022 when a YouTube user named Kane Pixels (which has been revealed to be an alias for Parsons), uploaded a nine-minute found footage video of people exploring creepy empty rooms. The video capitalized on the Internet’s fascination with liminal spaces, a.k.a. spaces that exist adjacent to our reality without being a part of it. The initial video received an overwhelmingly positive response, with viewers praising the...

Jim Mahoney was one of Hollywood’s go-to guys. He spent 60+ years in public relations, guiding the images of Clark Gable, Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen, Bob Hope, Johnny Carson, Lee Marvin, Burt Lancaster, Christie Brinkley, Peggy Lee, and hundreds more.
He was on the front lines when Frank Sinatra Jr. was kidnapped, and was at the party at Peter Lawford’s house the night Marilyn Monroe died. He was also there with the Rat Pack in Las Vegas.
Now age 95, Mahoney has captured all of that in a memoir, Get Mahoney!: A Hollywood Insider’s Memoir. “Get Mahoney!” was the phrase often used when stars and their handlers knew trouble was brewing and needed to keep their names out of the press. Mahoney was good at his job, and frequently referred to himself as a better “suppress” agent than press agent.
“It was about ‘taming the lion’ – both the press and the clients themselves,...
