[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Fire Country Season 2 finale “I Do.”] The good news: The wait shouldn’t be too long to find out what’s next after a couple of cliffhangers to end Fire Country Season 2. Eve (Jules Latimer), who has been crushing it as Three Rock captain lately, gets a job offer to oversee the whole program but turns it down. And Bode and Jake’s (Jordan Calloway) high school classmate, Rick (Adam Aalderks), returns to Edgewater and reveals he might be Genevieve’s biological father. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Fire Country Season 2 finale “I Do.”] Bode (Max Thieriot) may not have just made the best decision to end Fire Country Season 2. Now that he’s free, he has to figure out what he wants to do with his life. A future with Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila), unfortunately, doesn’t seem to be in the (immediate) cards: She’s about to marry Diego (Rafael de la Fuente) as the season ends. Firefighting is going to take time, but to him, it’s the first healthy addiction he’s had in his life, so he goes to Luke (Michael Trucco) in the final moments to pull strings to get him back to that. Below, Thieriot breaks down the finale and teases what’s ahead in Season 3. Talk about getting into the mindset of a Bode who’s out, going to Smokey’s, making plans, figuring out his life, no longer wearing that orange…...

Spoiler Alert: This story contains details from the season finale of Fire Country on CBS.
It’s become a well-worn trope in TV weddings; a heartsick man (or woman) is stuck in a pew while he watches the love of his life exchange vows with someone else.
But the only ‘I do’ viewers heard in the May 17 episode of Fire Country came from the mouth of Gabriela’s dad Manny (Kevin Alejandro). It wasn’t uttered by Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila) or Diego (Rafael de la Fuente) at the altar.
Here, Thieriot addresses the cliffhanger and whether there’s still a chance that Bode and Gabriela will have a future in season 3.
Deadline Talk about the decision to end the season with the wedding cliffhanger. Obviously, there had to be a lot of viewers in the audience who wanted Bode to object, don’t you think?

“There will be a wedding,” Fire Country star Billy Burke promises of the upcoming May 17 finale. “What transpires at that wedding is in question, and Bode [Max Thieriot] might be rethinking his relationship status in the whole scheme of what he’s got in front of him.” Before that finale, however, everyone’s heading to the campaign fire in Episode 9, airing May 10, and as seen in the photo above, Bode and his ex, Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila), whose wedding to Diego (Rafael de la Fuente) is the one coming up, will have a conversation. This comes after Gabriela’s mom (Paola Núñez) surprised her by showing up at the Firefighters’ Ball—off an invite from Diego—and talked to both her exes, Bode and Jake (Jordan Calloway). and Roberta certainly didn’t seem to think that it’s over for her daughter and Bode. “I think that’s a special moment in the sense of,...

But after her fiancé Diego (Rafael de la Fuente) invites Roberta (Paola Núñez), drama, of course, ensues—and she talks to all three men in her daughter’s life, even seemingly giving hope to Bode (Max Thieriot). [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Fire Country Season 2 Episode 8 “It’s Not Over.”] It’s a mix of good and bad news throughout the latest Fire Country, which does end with Three Rock in a better place but also with us worried about one of the Leones. The gala and attempt to impress the governor (Catherine Lough Haggquist) does end up being a success, thanks to speeches from both Eve (Jules Latimer) and Bode (Max Thieriot) and the latter being among those who leap into action when a fire breaks out. But, as everyone learns, it was actually Luke (Michael Trucco) who recommended the fire camp be shut down (for financial reasons). In other Leone family drama, Vince’s (Billy Burke) hand tremor is a serious (heart-stopping) concern, but one only Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila) knows about, and he plans to keep it that way for now as everyone’s rolling out to help with the campaign fire.

CBS has given an early series order to “Sheriff Country,” a new spin-off of hit Eye network drama “Fire Country.” But rather than airing the show next fall or midseason, CBS plans to save “Sheriff Country” for the 2025-2026 TV season.
The show comes out of a “Fire Country” backdoor pilot that aired on April 12 as the episode “Alert the Sheriff.” In that episode and in the series, Morena Baccarin (“Homeland”) stars as “straight-shooting sheriff Mickey Fox,” the stepsister of “Fire Country’s” Cal Fire division chief Sharon Leone (Diane Farr). Per the logline, Mickey “investigates criminal activity as she patrols the streets of small-town Edgewater while contending with her ex-con father and a mysterious incident involving her wayward daughter.”
Tony Phelan and Joan Rater are writing the first “Sheriff Country” episode, with story by Phelan, Rater and Max Thieriot. Executive producers are Thieriot, Phelan, Rater, and Jerry Bruckheimer and...

One thing is clear on Fire Country: There will always be love between Bode (Max Thieriot) and Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila). Spoiler Alert! This story contains plot points from Friday’s episode of Fire Country on CBS.
In Friday’s episode dubbed “This Storm Will Pass,” the Edgewater firefighters encounter their first firenado that ends up taking the life of someone very close to the team.
Here, showrunner Tia Napolitano and executive producers Joan Rater and Tony Phelan explain why it made sense to say goodbye to a character who was first introduced in season one, and how the Cal Fire team — especially Bode (Max Thieriot) — will respond going forward.
Deadline: So was this your first firenado?
Joan Rater: Yes, we’re firenado virgins?
Tia Napolitano: We ask all the writers to come in with the most interesting incidents, big or small, at the top of the season. Someone pitched a firenado. Obviously that’s on the big end of the spectrum and we all gravitated toward it really early.

Fire Country has been heating up since it touched down on CBS in 2022.
Thanks to its stellar cast, soapy storylines, and everything you’d expect from a Chicago Fire wannabe, it has secured a big audience.
With the show still early into its second season, there are questions about whether it will continue for additional seasons.
Thankfully, CBS announced this week that Fire Country Season 3 is a go.
The series was renewed alongside Ghosts, which secured a Season 4 pickup amid solid ratings.
“Ghosts and Fire Country are proven viewer favorites on both broadcast and streaming thanks to exceptional storytelling, talented actors and an ever-growing fan base,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, in a statement.
“We are elated to keep the momentum going and bring them back to CBS next season.”

So far, only three episodes of Fire Country Season 2 have aired, but a lot has happened—and there’s much more to come, including the introduction of a new character who could be a big part of this world if a spinoff does, in fact, happen. Already this season, we’ve seen Bode (Max Thieriot) get out of prison and learn he might be a father, Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila) move on from him and get engaged (to Rafael De La Fuente‘s Diego), Sharon (Diane Farr) and Vince (Billy Burke) at least starting to take steps towards talking about the problems between them, and job changes across Three Rock and Station 42. So what’s still ahead? When we spoke with Farr, she offered some teases about the next few episodes. An upcoming episode is introducing Morena Baccarin’s sheriff. But Sharon made it very clear that she wants her husband, and it looks like the two are going to start fighting for their relationship. Gabriela saved the victim and was fine … meaning she can now focus on what her father had to tell her after. Manny said that her mother didn’t abandon them, but rather, he was never there for her.
