Everyone has a favorite Beatles song. Sabrina Carpenter was shocked by a Beatles song while her father was getting an unnecessary haircut. She included the song in question on a playlist of the tunes that defined her life.
Sabrina Carpenter loves the story of 1 Beatles song
During a 2018 interview with Teen Vogue, Carpenter discussed listening to The Beatles’ “Rocky Raccoon.” “I specifically remember driving with my dad to get his haircut,” she said. “I don’t know why, he didn’t really have hair. Don’t show him that. Don’t tell him I, ugh, he’s gonna see that. Anyways, we’re driving to get his hair cut, and I remember him turning on this song. And immediately I was like, this is music?”
The “Espresso” singer recalled how she reacted to the Fab Four’s Western folk ditty. “This song, I think to a lot of people, they were probably just thinking,...

How do we know what music is actually good? Many fans look to critics. Sure, some might label music journalism as irrelevant in assigning value to art, but the reality is, critics do at least partly contribute to the consensus on the quality of music. That’s why, whether it is during a civilized conversation or the most rabid Twitter stan war, an album’s Metacritic score typically comes up. So award show voters must take those top albums more into consideration than others, right? To be a big awards player, doesn’t your album need to be somewhat acclaimed?
Let’s take a look at the past three Grammy ceremonies as examples. Since these are ceremonies with no nomination review committees involved, the results are a more accurate, unfiltered reflection of what voters think. According to Metacritic, anything below 81 is not “universally acclaimed,” so that’s how I’ll sort it out.

Sza shared a cover of Eminem’s 2002 hit “Lose Yourself” on Instagram, noting, “U ever just cover Eminem on some tender shit for feels?” She added that the low-key, intimate rendition wasn’t for a project but instead “just for mental health.”
The cover sees Sza crooning the lyrics over a piano backdrop, transforming Eminem’s hard-hitting rap lines into soulful vocals. Her post quickly earned the attention of the rapper himself, who commented with a wide-eyed emoji.

The Drake-Kendrick Lamar showdown will continue — at the 2024 BET Awards.
The rappers will compete in two categories at the June 30 show: best male hip-hop artist and best collaboration. In the latter category, Drake is nominated for “Rich Baby Daddy” with Sza and Sexyy Red, while Lamar is nominated for his guest verse on the remix of Beyoncé’s “America Has a Problem.”
Drake is the show’s top contender with seven nominations, thanks to his album For All the Dogs (Scary Hours Edition). Lamar didn’t release an album that was eligible this year. The Canadian rapper’s other nominations include album of the year, best male R&b/pop artist and viewer’s choice for “Rich Baby Daddy.” He’s nominated twice in the video of the year category: “Rich Baby Daddy” and his guest verse on J. Cole’s “First Person Shooter,” the late 2023 track that reignited his feud with Lamar.

Rapper Ludacris posed with Katy Perry and Sza at the iHeartRadio after hosting the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday.
“You always gotta know your audience. It’s always different audiences for different events and things you do,” the rapper told Billboard before the show. “To me, iHeart is all about energy, love and they wanna see their favorite artists. I’m also — humbly speaking — performing as well. So, it’s all about the energy in the building. We gotta keep that as high as possible.”
The “Yeah!” rapper performed at the show with T-Pain.
In February, Ludacris performed with Usher at the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas alongside other artists such as Alicia Keys, H.E.R., will.i.am and Lil Jon.

Canadian rapper Drake’s gesture at his recent concert is winning hearts.
The rapper helped out yet another fan by granting their wish at his concert in San Antonio, Texas as a part of his It’s All a Blur Tour.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Drake, 37, struck up a conversation with a female fan in the crowd, who was holding up a poster that said “I’m five months pregnant, can you be my Rich Baby Daddy?” reports ‘People’ magazine.
The poster was a nod to the track off his latest album ‘For All the Dogs’, which features Sexyy Red and Sza.
“Well first of all, I don’t wanna offend your real baby daddy, but I would love to — first of all, get you out of the pit so we can put you somewhere safe like the VIP or some s***”, he told the fan.

It’s not often that Luke Hemmings finds himself on his own. For the better part of the past 12 years, the 27-year-old singer and songwriter has shared the stage with his three bandmates in 5 Seconds of Summer.
