Erich Anderson, a prolific television actor perhaps best known for his portrayal on Felicity as the title character’s father, died of cancer June 1 in Los Angeles. He was 67.
His death was announced on social media by wife and actor Saxon Trainor.
Launching his film career in 1984 with a role in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, Anderson was also featured at the same time in the TV series Bay City Blues. TV guest appearances kept him busy for the next years, with roles on The Paper Chase, Tour of Duty, and Quantum Leap, among others.
In 1990 he landed a recurring role that would become one of his most recognizable: On seven episodes of thirtysomething, he played Billy Sidel, a romantic partner for Polly Draper’s Ellyn Warren. After a sometimes rocky path, the two characters were married late in the series.

Erich Anderson, racked up over 100 credits during a screen acting career that stretched from 1983 into the 2020s, but he may be best known for playing the role of Rob in the 1984 slasher classic Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter. The Good Doctor is finally back, but spoilers suggest a silly story as the series enters the final season's home stretch.
Shaun and Jordan treat a woman with renal failure... and a potential donor who may have a serious mental condition.
The Good Doctor Season 7 Episode 7 spoilers point to an episode that could be great but is more likely to be ridiculous. Considering how close we are to the end of the series' run, this is not great news!
ABC hasn't released much info yet, but the spoiler video and description suggest that the episode will center around a man who thinks he is Jesus.
This is one tired TV trope I could do without. Television is full of pseudo-Jesuses who may or may not be the real thing and skeptical people who realize that they've come in contact with the Messiah Himself by the end of the hour.

"All great literature is one of two stories; a man goes on a journey or a stranger comes to town." -- Leo Tolstoy
Two of today's hottest shows -- Tracker and Reacher -- are keeping the tradition of the "traveling stranger" alive and well by providing comfort viewing with a kick.
There has always been room on television for the archetype of the helpful loner traveling from town to town.
In the 1960s, James Garner's Maverick featured a wisecracking cowboy poker player with a heart of gold.
That show's campy cousin, The Wild, Wild West, had two Secret Service agents in tight trousers solving cross-country crimes from a swanky steam engine (the original Airstream?).

Miracles are rare in the 21st century, but watch pretty much any episode of The Chosen and they are bountiful. But the biggest miracle of all is perhaps the fact that a historical drama centered around Jesus of Nazareth (a warm and welcoming Jonathan Roumie), set in 1st century Galilee as He preaches, gains followers (and enemies) and, on occasion, raises the dead and walks on water, has built a passionate legion of faithful viewers. How did a crowdfunded production become a heavenly international sensation? The holy cards were stacked against The Chosen from the start. Faith-based television is historically hit-or-miss. The Academy Award-winning 1956 classic The Ten Commandments, which has aired on ABC nearly every Easter season since 1973, regularly reaps solid viewership. But in terms of scripted TV, for every spiritual success (think Highway to Heaven and Touched by an Angel), there are just as many failures (anyone remember ABC...

The real Bonnie and Clyde may have died in 1933, but the legend of the couple's crime spree lives on in the form of songs, stories, and one groundbreaking movie. Arthur Penn's "Bonnie and Clyde" took Hollywood by storm when it hit theaters in 1967, generating controversy for its on-screen violence and sensuality -- and kick-starting nationwide conversations about who deserves to be the subject of a movie. While film fans still talk about these topics today, the movie's brutal final shootout feels mild compared to modern blood-soaked movie scenes.
Still, "Bonnie and Clyde" is a fantastic film, thanks in large part to its great cast. Piper Laurie, who blossomed as an actress only after extricating herself from the studio system and went on to rack up three Oscar nominations, has died. She was 91.
Laurie’s manager Marion Rosenberg confirmed the news to Variety, writing, “A beautiful human being and one of the great talents of our time.”

Carol Locatell was born on December 13, 1940 – a date that happens to have been a Friday the 13th. So it seems very fitting that when she embarked on an acting career, her role in the 1985 slasher Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (watch it Here) would turn out to become the role she was best known for. Locatell delivered a hilarious performance in that film, making the foul-mouthed Ethel Hubbard someone fans have been having fun watching for nearly forty years now. Sadly, Locatell is no longer with us. She passed away recently at the age of 82. Ron Sloan, who played Ethel’s dimwitted son Junior in Friday the 13th: A New Beginning, broke the news of her passing on social media last night.
Sloan wrote,

Pedro Pascal was “so scared” about hosting “Saturday Night Live” earlier this year that he spoke to his late mother, Verónica Pascal, for some comfort.
The “Last of Us” star spoke to Esquire in a candid new interview about hosting “SNL” on the anniversary of his mother’s passing. She died on February 4, 2000, and he hosted the show exactly 23 years later.
Before his mom took her own life, Pascal had just started getting some roles in shows including “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Touched by an Angel” in 1999. However, when she passed the following year, he returned back to Chile at age 24 to be with his family.
Pascal recalled of hosting “SNL”, “I was so scared that week that I was talking to her.”
He told the mag that after a long day of rehearsals “there would be that terror waiting for me—that practical fear of bombing in front of the world.

These days, Pedro Pascal is one of the internet’s favorite stars. In just a few years, the actor has arisen from a breakout star of Narcos to a legitimate leading man. Of course, Game of Thrones is a big part of that ascension as well. But despite his current success, Pascal has no qualms about looking back at his early career, including his guest appearance on NYPD Blue.

The jury system can by trying, but “Jury Duty” — a doc-style comedy series coming to Freevee on April 7 — examines it through the eyes of one juror. The catch: The actual juror, Ronald Gladden, doesn’t realize the case is fake and everyone else is an actor. All the crazy machinations inside the courtroom are planned, and everyone is in on it, except for Gladden. Will this lone juror be able to find his way to justice despite all of the chaos surrounding the case?

With each passing day, it seems Pedro Pascal comes one step closer to taking over the world of pop culture (and that's not in any way a complaint). In addition to starring in TV series like "Game of Thrones" and "Narcos," he played Nicolas Cage's newfound Bff in the meta-action-comedy film "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" and headlines "The Mandalorian" as Grogu's surrogate father, Din Djarin. As if that wasn't enough, he's also playing Joel in the acclaimed HBO series "The Last of Us," based on the video game property of the same name. If you're a fan of his (and why wouldn't you be?), this is prime Pedro time, with delightful interviews and anecdotes popping up all over the place.
His latest appearance came on the YouTube series "Hot Ones," where celebrities eat a series of successively hotter wings as host Sean Evans chats with them about their careers.

Chances are good that, if you know me in the real world, you’ve heard me repeat/paraphrase/mangle the Samuel Johnson quote, “[W]hen a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.” I believe that deeply.
Allow me to mangle/paraphrase the quote further, because while Johnson never said, “[W]hen a man is tired of ghosts, he is tired of the afterlife,” I’m beginning to believe that I am, indeed, suffering from ghost fatigue. Which is not, in fact, a less appreciated Mission: Impossible sequel.
The show with the poor fortune to trigger this growing apparition-apathy is Paramount+’s middling boo-dunnit School Spirits. But it could just as easily have been ABC’s middling comedy Not Dead Yet or a mini-marathon of CBS’ Ghosts or lingering memories of last summer’s instantly forgotten (but actually better than middling) Netflix series Boo, Bitch. On television, ghosts solve crimes,...

Paul Walker enjoyed a lengthy career in Hollywood that carried him through various roles in several unique movies before his unfortunate death in 2013 at just 40 years old. Fans likely remember him best as Brian O'Conner in the "Fast and Furious" franchise, but the talented and handsome actor also appeared in critical hits such as "Pleasantville," "Joy Ride," and Clint Eastwood's "Flags of Our Fathers," and served as executive producer on the films "Vehicle 19," "Hours," and "Pawn Shop Chronicles." He even enjoyed a guest spot on National Geographic's "Expedition Great White" in 2009.
In his youth, Walker popped up in a variety of high-profile TV shows, among them "Highway to Heaven," "Charles in Charge," "Who's the Boss," and "Touched by an Angel," before making the leap to schlocky B-movie horror films such as "Tammy and the Rex," opposite Denise Richards, in which his character's brain somehow lands inside a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Gilmore Girls made Alexis Bledel a star. It was her first credited role and she took off from there. Fame and success didn’t change her though. Bledel’s co-star, Olivia Hack, who played one of Rory’s Yale roommates, Tana Schrick, remembers Bledel still drove a beat up old car during the heyday of the show.

Hack was a guest on Scott Patterson’s I Am All In podcast on Oct. 12 to discuss her time on season 4, during which she also revealed her deleted season 7 scene. Bledel’s car encapsulated Hack’s memory of her co-star.
Olivia Hack loved ‘Gilmore Girls’ star Alexis Bledel’s ‘beat to sh** car’
Joining the cast of Gilmore Girls wasn’t easy for Hack. She had to film her first scene twice because the first time, she looked too old. Tana was supposed to be much younger than Rory.
