When FUNimation redubbed the original Dragon Ball in 2000, they kept the Japanese intro/outro credit songs, and had English speakers sing them. This was the first time FUNimation kept music from the Japanese version of a Dragon Ball series.
The intro sequence that accompanied the 1995 dub was a hodgepodge of scenes from the first two movies, footage from the series itself, and footage from the intros/outros of the series. Curiously, much of the footage shown (particularly the movie footage) was never shown on TV at the time.
While the series had multiple credit opening sequences, all DVDs just feature the same intro - the one used when the series first came on the air.
