- TriviaDick Van Dyke personally said his five favorite episodes, of the 1961-1966 series were Where Did I Come From? (1962), The Attempted Marriage (1962), It May Look Like a Walnut (1963), I'd Rather Be Bald Than Have No Head at All (1964) and Never Bathe on Saturday (1965), are his top five favorites.
- GoofsWhile the idea that Rob would accidentally drop the key for the jeep into the radiator is amusing, military jeeps do not have keys. Instead, they have a button for the starter.
- Quotes
Rob Petrie: I hate to see you cry like this.
Laura Petrie: Well, it's the only way I know how to cry.

So-so episode...
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to find the Laura character to be rather annoying in the earlier episodes of the show.
Whether incidentally or on purpose, the writing of the first 2 seasons or so of the show definitely left room for growth in the personalities of all of the characters.
For example, around the middle of the 3rd season the Laura character was slowly starting to leave-behind what had become some pretty tedious and annoying behavior, not the least of which was a penchant for whining and being a general pain.
As the writing improved over the course of the series, not all but most of the main characters showed at least some growth, mellowing, and improvement.
This episode here is so-so.
Laura is certainly not the only obnoxious factor of this so-so,take it or leave it episode.
Watch it and see what you think. 6/10.
