"Latka" (Andy Kaufman) gets a radio station that plays his own language! One day, while listening to it at the taxi headquarters, he hears there is revolution in his home country! He's all upset; what can he do? Within the hour, a fellow countryman - yes, another weird guy - "Baschi" (Larry Baker) - comes looking for Latka. He has heard the news and wants both of them to go home and fight in the revolution.
Latka's taxi cab pals don't want him to leave, but they can't stop him, either. (It also turns out Latka has a "General" ranking in his country - wow, how sad must their military be!!!) Anyway, a farewell party is thrown for Latka, with a surprise. (Yeah, you know Latka's not going to leave the show this early in Taxi's TV sit-com stint, but how will this happen?)
Along the way, "Jim" (Christopher Lloyd) as always, has some very funny lines.
