The show debuted on the streaming service Seeso until the company shut down in 2017. A web campaign to "#BuyJillion" started so the show had a platform to be streamed. In 2019, the free streaming service Pluto TV picked up all previous seasons of the show and includes the unseen 4th season.
The vast majority of the guest stars on the show have appeared on the popular podcast Comedy Bang Bang hosted by Scott Aukerman, EP for the show and husband of Kulap Vilaysack, the creator of the show.
Series director Kulap Vilaysack is the wife of Comedy Bang Bang creator Scott Aukerman. In his circles, she is better known as the Widow Kulap; in a marketing role her title is the Widow Howlapp.
Semi-scripted show. Scenes are planned and there are writers who come up with the jokes but the majority of the show is improv.
Cast members Tim Baltz and Tawny Newsome are both alumni of The Second City's resident stages and are among the rare alumni to have written revues for both its Chicago stages.
