This will be the first live-action/CGI hybrid for Nickelodeon Movies, and for Paramount Pictures's new film division, Paramount Players.
On November 13th, 2019 Paramount announced that they have pulled the film from it's release schedule.
This film will not be a reboot, but a fourth installment of the Rugrats film series with live-action and animation. This makes the Rugrats series the first to have 4 movies.
Originally intended to release in November 2020, but was pushed back 2 months to January 2021 to allow Clifford the Big Red Dog (2021) to take over the originally intended date.
The only Rugrats film released on 3D.
