Spacey Unmasked (2024)
10 stars to thank these men for coming forward
Thank you all for sharing your stories. We can't ever allow for people in power to act like this and get away with it. Several of the interviewees said they felt shame and guilt. This is what we women have felt too. It sucks that that's the natural reaction when the fault is 100% on the perpetrator.

American Ripper (2017)
8 episodes too many!
I didn't hate it. But c'mon. This was dragged out for EIGHT LONG EPISODES when it could have taken much less of my time. I already have a short attention span. Give me a break!
Ted Bundy: Falling for a Killer (2020)
Real and raw and human. Loved it.
I saw the negative reviews saying, "This isn't about Ted!" and I'm like...okay...well, maybe for once it shouldn't be about him. I've seen many shows about him and yes, serial killers are fascinating. I admit I watch probably too many serial killer shows. But I really liked this one because now I can finally understand the real human woman behind the name of "Ted Bundy's girlfriend." I'd always wondered what kind of woman could have been so "blind"...but now I see that she was human, too, and (if you want so much for it to be about Ted) that Ted wasn't the same madman with her as he was with others. And seeing her story and the story of her daughter...man. My heart goes out to them. This was such a sad and heartfelt story, and it was eye-opening to see it framed in the "times of women's liberation." That's when it happened! It never crossed my mind that maybe Ted was deeply angered by women wanting more rights. And maybe that wasn't it at all, but the context of "the times" is very important to all stories and I'm grateful this documentary shared that context. I enjoyed this documentary a lot. It was real and raw and human. My heart goes out to all the women that were affected, closely and not so closely, by these tragedies. Definitely worth the watch.
Icarus (2017)
Boring!
After what I thought was surely most of the film, I checked the time - and I was only 1/3 of the way in! And I don't know why I watched as long as I did! Some rich white guy LA filmmaker wants to play Lance Armstrong doping up for a race in Europe with a crooked Russian drug-dealer-slash-urine-analyst and I'm supposed to give a...? Give me a break. I just don't care. I realize I'm not their demographic but ugh. Eye. Roll.
