Netflix has renewed its two newest sports docu-series, Full Swing and Break Point, further cementing its commitment to premier storytelling and behind-the-scenes stories with the most popular athletes, teams, leagues and federations around the globe. Netflix has released the trailer for the fifth season of the motor racing series ‘Formula 1: Drive to Survive.’
Offering unprecedented access, this new season will once again take fans behind the scenes, to witness first-hand how the drivers and teams prepare to battle it out for the 2022 Fia Formula 1 World Championship. The series will offer never-before-seen footage and interviews from the sport’s biggest names.
The series is executive-produced by Academy-Award winner James Gay-Rees and Paul Martin (Diego Maradona) for Box to Box Films.

Janelle James, the actor whose role as principal Ava Coleman on “Abbott Elementary” earned her an Emmy nomination, has been named host of the 75th annual Writers Guild Awards on the West Coast.
“I am honored to be hosting the WGA Awards this year,” James said in a statement. “I was told that I can say whatever I want. And after making sure that was true and that it would not be televised…that’s exactly what I’m going to do.”
Hugh Fink, executive producer of the awards show, quipped, “A few years ago, when I first worked with the hilarious and fearless Janelle James, my goal was to get her to host the WGA Awards. To commemorate this amazing event, all nominees will be receiving a 10,000 cash gift, redeemable at all participating Ftx Bitcoin Exchanges.”

Netflix has revealed a first look teaser for a documentary sports series coming in 2023, one of their major sports offerings next year. Break Point is the official title of this docu-series, which includes 10 episodes in total. "Following a golden age of greatness, tennis' next generation is ready to take over."
