Christopher Pico has been a fan of film for his entire life. In High School and College he took Film Study classes (which he excelled at), but never continued his studies any further.
In 2002 he decided to try his hand at making a short film in the form of "Star Wars: Pathways, Chapter I - Path of Betrayal", a fan film starring his friends. It spawned two sequels as well, "Path of Deceit" and "Path of Reckoning". In 2006 the first film was released on-line and was downloaded thousands of times.
From there he caught the eye of the management of GE Healthcare and was tapped to produce training videos for their production facilities. He has completed two so far, "5S: Five Steps to Success" (which has been viewed by all GE sites) and "S.W.I.M.S.: A Mockumentary" (an internal training video for the Arlington Heights facility).
In early 2008 he decided that he needed to further his knowledge in the directing arts and enrolled in classes at Chicago Filmmakers. While studying there he made a short class project film based off a scene from David Mamet's "Spartan", which was very well received by his classmates and instructor.
Now feeling that he's ready to push his filmmaking career ahead, he's in pre-production of a horror/thriller short film entitled "Stalk" which will go into production in late May/early June 2008 and will finish post-production by late summer 2008.- Richard Whittingham was born on 1 January 1939 in Des Plaines, Illinois, USA.
