Denis Villeneuve is a French Canadian film director and writer. He was born in 1967, in Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada. He started his career as a filmmaker at the National Film Board of Canada. Born in 1975 and raised in Trois-Rivières (Québec, Canada), Isabelle Blais graduated from Montréal's 'Conservatoire d'art Dramatique' in 1997. A big break came for her in 1999 as she landed the part of Juliette in 'Roméo et Juliette'. Since then, she has worked consistently. On stage, she played Eliza Doolittle in 'Pygmalion' (1999), Eva in 'M. Puntila et son valet Matti' (2000), Hyacinte in 'Les Fourberies de Scapin' (2001), Ophelia in 'Hamlet' (2003). She also appeared in various films and TV shows both in French and English.
At the beginning of 2003, she won a Masque (Quebec's theater award) as best actress for 'Au coeur de la rose', a Jutras as supporting actress for 'Québec-Montréal' and she earned a best actress Genie nomination for 'Savage Messiah'. That same year, she went to Cannes Film Festival to support the presentation of 'Les Invasions barbares'.
In addition to her acting career, Blais is also lead singer and lyricist in rock band 'Caïman Fu'. Formed in 2000, the group produced a live mini-album in 2002 and their first full-length studio album in 2003.- Producer

She played in several soaps in French-Canadian broadcasting from the end of fifties to the end of eighties.
Her first major hit was her role of Phonsine, in the French-Canadian soap `le Survenant` where she played the role of the spouse of the lazy son of 'Pere Didace'. After that, she played in many other soaps including: Beau temps, mauvais temps (1955-1958), Le chenal du moine (1957-1958), La pension velder (1958-1960), Rue de l Anse (1963), La Force de l'âge (1964), Septieme nord (1965), Grujot et Delicat (1968), Symphorien (1968), famille Plouffe (1981), Marisol (1980-1983) and Entre chiens et loups (1983). She also starred in few movies, including one with Canadian actor Donald Sutherland in 1970, Act of heart. After a fulfilling career, she decided to retire at the end of the eighties due to illness. Sadly, she passed away on December 14th 2002, due to pulmonary trouble and lung cancer. She was 74. She will always stay in memories of people as Madame Blancheville, the Spic and Span spokeswoman. - Actress

Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972, "Le Gros Bill" Béliveau is widely regarded as one of the Ten Greatest NHL players of all time. Born in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Béliveau first played professionally in the Quebec Major Hockey League (QMHL). He made his NHL debut with the Canadiens in 1950, but chose to remain in the QMHL full-time until 1953.
By his second season in the NHL, Béliveau was among the top three scorers. He was the fourth player to score 500 goals and the second to score 1,000 points. Béliveau won two Hart Memorial Trophies as league MVP (1956, 1964) and one Art Ross Trophy as top scorer (1956), as well as the inaugural Conn Smythe Trophy as play-off MVP (1965). He has 17 Stanley Cup championships, the most by any individual to date. All championships have been with the Montreal Canadiens: 10 as a player and 7 as an executive.
