When James Gunn sat to announce the projects in the first slate of the Dcu, the Lanterns series was one of the most hyped projects. Following the Ryan Reynolds debacle in 2011, the character has been sidelined from the live-action media for years before Gunn gave it another shot. Now, the latest rumors suggest that the casting for the upcoming series has started.

Lanterns was announced as a True Detective-esque project with two of the most fan-favorite Green Lanterns from the comics, Hal Jordan and John Stewart leading the show. Reportedly, the makers have put out certain criteria to cast the upcoming heroes of the Dcu.
If the rumors are proven true, then John Krasinski can be an incredible choice to play Hal Jordan in the new DC Universe.

Jennifer Aniston delivered another star-powered performance in the new season of Apple TV’s flagship series, “The Morning Show.” The series follows the behind-the-scenes drama of a morning TV show in the US, with co-anchors Alex Levy (Aniston) and Bradley Jackson (Reese Witherspoon) at the center of events.
The latest season (season three) depicts Alex quite literally heading into space while she tussles with Jon Hamm‘s tech mogul as a media merger for her show’s network, Uba, bubbles away. Aniston proved herself a master of comedy with “Friends” and here shows, once again, that she has the dramatic acting chops to equal her comedic skills. Aniston is captivating every time she’s on-screen and it’s a delight to see her in one of the meatiest roles of her career, as noted by critics.

One of the members of the Cosmopolitan Polyglot Society, Henry Thorpe is an alien who’s taken the job of an anthropologist. Often teaching at University, Henry seems like a man who can’t hurt a fly. After Ozark, Jason Thomas Butler nails the role of Henry and gets under your skin in a creepy way really well. Sugar has had many revelations throughout the first season, but Henry turning out to be the main antagonist is something not many saw coming.
Spoilers Ahead
Who is Henry Thorpe?
You first see Henry at Ruby’s party, a very timid figure who is unnoticeable until Sugar meets him. When Sugar tells him about the Shibuya Crossing, Henry listens to him with great interest, or at least pretends to do so. This brief introduction to the character doesn’t really make much mark, as one would think he’d be completely inconsequential to the narrative.

If Julia Garner’s accent in Inventing Anna sounds unusual to you — you’re not alone.
In the upcoming Shondaland Netflix series, the Ozark alum stars as the titular Anna Delvey, a charismatic entrepreneur or con artist (depending on who you ask) who convinces many of New York’s power players that she was a German heiress worthy of their financial support... to the tune of millions of dollars. Delvey’s accent — a hodgepodge of Russian, German and American inflections — is as complicated and muddled as her past.
“People are like, ‘This accent is crazy. Is this what she sounds like?’ They can't believe it,” Garner tells Tudum. “But at the same time, I want everybody to just Google how she sounds. I wouldn't allow myself to just go on screen and do a half accent. I’m a perfectionist.”
Garner says nailing Delvey's accent is the key to nailing the character.

Kang who? The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been searching for its next Thanos-level big bad for quite some time now and, while Plan A had to be thrown out the window following actor Jonathan Majors' allegations, Plan B appears to be rounding into form quite nicely. With Kevin Feige appearing to put all his eggs in the "Fantastic Four" basket, officially assembling a core cast made up of Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn as Marvel's First Family, it was only a matter of time before word leaked out regarding which name-brand actor would step up to take on the physically imposing role of Galactus himself, the Devourer of Worlds.
That time has finally come, as first reported by The Hollywood Reporter. We now know that Ralph Ineson has answered the call to suit up as the Fantastic Four's biggest and baddest foe in the MCU reboot of the classic property.

“Fallout” debuted as the most-streamed title of the April 8-14 viewing window and hit the highest viewership ever achieved by an Amazon Prime Video title in a single week. The video game adaptation was watched for 2.9 billion minutes in its first five days of availability, which is more than one billion minutes above the previous record set by the best week of “Reacher.”
This also marks the 39th highest viewership achieved by a title on any service in a single week. Of the 38 slots above “Fallout” on that list, 22 are taken up by individual weeks of “Stranger Things,” “Ozark” and “Suits.”
Interestingly, Amazon doesn’t claim “Fallout” as its biggest ever debut. The company says that the series reached 65 million worldwide viewers in its first 16 days of availability, coming second to “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” though a 16-day statistic for Rings of Power” was not provided.

Laura Linney has everything going for her. She has an incredible career that spans television, film, and theatre, she has a beautiful family and is aging like fine wine. Needless to say, she is one of the finest actresses in today’s time.
Laura Linney in Ozark
However, there was a point in her life when Laura Linney believed that her career was nearing its end. This happened when she was a part of a production of The Seagull at the Lyceum Theater. While the play is a classic, the production was horrible and Laura Linney knew it all too well. While recalling her time in the Broadway play, the actress revealed how she actually ended up trauma bonding with co-actor Ethan Hawke.

Ozark star Jason Butler Harner reflected on his experience filming The Big Bend in his new uInterview.
“I love doing ultra-low budget movies,” told uInterview founder Erik Meers. “I come from the theater, so the nature of communication and collaboration can be different on [low-budget movies].”
The Big Bend follows two families, the Prices and the Talbots, who meet in the remote Texas desert. During their visit, the boundaries of marriage, friendship and parenthood are tested in one of the wildest places in America.
Harner honed in on the meaning of the film: “It’s about trying to be present. We do this all the time; we try to figure out how to be present every day as much as possible, especially after someone dies or something, and it’s just hard work.”

Get in a fighting stance, "Cobra Kai" fans: Netflix's most unlikely hit series is about to go out with a three-hit Ko. The popular "Karate Kid" sequel series will bow out with its sixth and final season this summer as planned, but the streamer has just announced that the last chapter will actually be an extended three-part streaming event.
In keeping with Netflix's recent trend of experimenting with different release strategies, "Cobra Kai" will end with three five-episode drops that begin in July and won't end until next year. The first five episodes are due out over the summer, while the second installment is expected in November (with the third premiering on an as-yet-announced date in 2025).
Though another major Netflix show, "Stranger Things," previously had a bifurcated season due to special effects-heavy sequences that needed to cook a bit longer, shows like "Ozark" and "Bridgerton" have also tried the multi-pronged release model.

Last year, New Line Cinema went all-in on a partnership with Barbarian (watch it Here) writer/director Zach Cregger and the film’s producers at BoulderLight Pictures. New Line came out the winner in a bidding war over Cregger’s next film, a mysterious horror project called Weapons… which was, at one point, set to star Pedro Pascal of The Last of Us. Pascal had to drop out due to scheduling issues when he was cast in the Marvel movie Fantastic Four – but Cregger is still assembling an interesting cast for the film. We’ve previously heard that Dune, Avengers: Infinity War, and No Country for Old Men star Josh Brolin and Julia Garner, who is best known for her work on the series Ozark (for which she won three Emmy awards), are set to star in Weapons. Now Deadline reports that Alden Ehrenreich of Solo, Oppenheimer, Cocaine Bear, and Hail, Caesar!

“Rosemary’s Baby” is the latest horror classic to get a many-years-later sequel – or prequel, in this case.
On Friday, Paramount+ announced that “Apartment 7A,” a prequel to Roman Polanski’s legendary psychological thriller, is coming to the streaming service this fall.
The movie tells the story of what happened in the titular New York City apartment before Rosemary Woodhouse (Mia Farrow) moved in and became the unwilling mother to the son of Satan. It’s set in 1965 and follows a struggling, young dancer (three-time Emmy-winning “Ozark” star Julia Garner). After she suffers a devastating injury, she finds herself drawn in by dark forces when a peculiar, well-connected, older couple promises her a shot at fame.

Julia Garner has joined Josh Brolin on Weapons, the new film from the director of Barbarian, Zach Cregger.
Julia Garner has been announced as the leading name in the ensemble for Zach Cregger’s soon-to-shoot horror project, Weapons.
We first learned about the film around a year ago when it became the subject of a heated bidding war. Cregger was coming of the back of 2022’s Barbarian, one of the buzziest horror films of that year. Barbarian didn’t just announce an exciting new voice in the horror genre, it also performed commercially earning $45m worldwide, amounting to around ten times its production budget.
With horror being seen as one of the only remaining genres to reliably pull audiences into cinemas, the success of Cregger’s film saw several studios keen to secure his future services. New Line CInema duly won out and around a year ago, the filmmaker’s next feature was announced.

Julia Garner, emerging quickly as one of Hollywood’s most in-demand talents, has nabbed the starring role in Weapons, the New Line horror movie from Barbarian filmmaker Zach Cregger.
Garner will star opposite Josh Brolin in the feature, which is due to begin shooting in mid-May in Atlanta.
Cregger wrote the top secret script for Weapons, which is described as an interrelated, multistory horror epic that tonally is in the vein of Magnolia, the 1999 actor-crammed showcase from filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.
The project is also a reunion of the Barbarian producing team. Cregger is producing along with Roy Lee of Vertigo and J.D. Lifshitz and Raphael Margules of BoulderLight Pictures. Vertigo’s Miri Yoon also produces.

Something of an unusual but welcome mix of “Yellowstone” family drama and existential “X-Files” sci-fi, “Outer Range” star Josh Brolin as a rancher in Wyoming fighting for his land and his family, who discovers something unfathomable on its outskirts. Brolin also makes his directorial debut with season two’s penultimate episode

From the idyllic coastlines of New England to the sunny Pacific coast, from the Jersey Shore to the Southern Gulf Shore, from Midwest prairie land to Southwest deserts and canyons — the United States offers a variety of cultures, climates and land masses that have provided the backdrops to some of the best television series of all time. We’ve set out to discover the best program set in each state, which brought about some surprises, some difficult decisions and a few no-brainers.
There are some states in which very few series have been set, and some stand out as the unsurprising winner, such as “Ozark” for Missouri or “Yellowstone” for Montana. However, there were a couple of instances in which we had very little to choose from. We planned to only include scripted series, but were surprised to find that Iowa has been home to very few , and those didn’t last long.

In a very unsettled drama Emmy field, one of the few ostensible locks this year is Elizabeth Debicki. With 4/1 odds, she is the runaway favorite to take home the Best Drama Supporting Actress Emmy for her turn as Princess Diana on “The Crown,” which would make the Netflix series the sixth show to deliver two different winners in the category.
Twelve shows have won drama supporting actress more than once. Of those, seven shows have had one person triumph repeatedly, including “Lou Grant” for Nancy Marchand, who won a record four times, and most recently “Ozark” for three-time champ Julia Garner. The five shows that saw the wealth spread among its cast members are “St. Elsewhere”, “The West Wing”, “Hill Street Blues”, “The Practice” and “thirtysomething”. No show has had more than two cast members win the award.
Interestingly, Marchand (1980-82; her first win was in ’78), Roberts (1983), Woodard (1984), Thomas (1985), Bartlett...

Former Netflix Head of Comedy Jane Wiseman is joining Jane Featherstone and Liz Murdoch‘s Sister entertainment group in a newly created position as Head of U.S. Television. Based in Los Angeles, Wiseman will report to Cindy Holland, Sister’s Global CEO, and will lead the company’s U.S. television business, specifically focused on development and production of premium scripted series.
This is the second senior member of Holland’s executive team at Netflix, where she led original TV content for many years, that she has brought to Sister since joining the company in July. In October, Efrain Miron was named to another newly created position as President, Strategy and Business Affairs, with a focus on the U.S. studio and portfolio companies.
Building out Sister’s U.S. operation under Holland has been a major priority as the company is plotting further expansion and a path to profitability.

Germany’s Beta Film is bringing the love story between a Dutch prince and a beautiful Argentinian financier to the Croisette. The world premiere of “Máxima” screens out-of-competition at Canneseries on April 9 after being teased at the London TV Screenings in late February.
The six-hour-long episodes chronicle the whirlwind romance between the Dutch Crown Prince Willem-Alexander, played by Martijn Lakemeier (“Goodbye Stranger”) and bubbly financier Máxima, played by Argentinian breakout Delfina Chaves (“The Secret of the Greco Family”). Directed by Saskia Diesing alongside Joosje Duk and Iván López Núñez, the series is adapted from Dutch journalist Marica Luyten’s biography on Queen Máxima, “Máxima Zorreguieta: Motherland.”
Speaking to Variety ahead of the “Máxima” premiere at Cannes, Chaves says she feels “extremely lucky” for the opportunity to play the titular Queen onscreen, not only because of the role itself but also because of the scale of the production, which saw the...

Brooklyn Nine-Nine alumna Melissa Fumero, AnnaSophia Robb (The Act) and Ben Rappaport (For the People) are set as leads in Grosse Pointe Garden Society, NBC’s drama pilot from Jenna Bans, Bill Krebs and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The drama follows four members of a suburban garden club — three of them played by Fumero, Robb and Rappaport — all from different walks of life, who get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom.
Fumero plays Birdie. Entitled, rich, swathed in Chanel, a smoker, a drinker, self-destructive at times, toxic at others, but not without real pain beneath her facade, Birdie is a successful author whose memoir, “Digging for Gold: Dancing Through Divorce,” is a bestseller.
Robb plays Alice, your favorite high school English teacher, a dreamer whose best dreams are crashing down on her. She’s a longtime...
