Brianne Howey's big, beautiful brown eyes and her megawatt smile have earned her comparisons to Academy Award-winner Julia Roberts, and she takes them in stride. "It's the greatest compliment anyone can receive," the star of Netflix's hit show "Ginny & Georgia" tells Popsugar. "I don't know how she would feel about it, but I feel incredible." And while Howey, 33, definitely did grow up idolizing rom-com royalty like Roberts and Cameron Diaz, her first acting idols targeted a different demo. "I was obsessed with watching Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen everything," she continues. "Every Tuesday we'd go to Blockbuster, and I'd get a new Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen movie, but I never even connected the dots that they were actors . . . It was just pure entertainment."
Howey didn't fall in love with acting until she started doing improv and plays in high school, and didn't actually take it seriously until...

Since portraying Michelle Tanner on Full House for eight seasons, the Olsen twins have been American sweethearts. When the ABC sitcom ended in 1995, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen took their talents to the big screen in It Takes Two. However, fans might be shocked to learn that the mansion where the movie was filmed sat vacant for years and was recently destroyed.

Though many fans consider It Takes Two Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s best film, the sisters appeared in several TV movies while on Full House. They include To Grandmother’s House We Go (1992), Double, Double, Toil and Trouble (1993), and How the West Was Fun (1994). But the siblings’ first full-length feature film was 1995’s It Takes Two.

When you belong to a cultural superpower, you get used to things being all about you. Wrapped in the soft cotton wool of cultural dominance, you so rarely feel the prick of non-recognition. Jen and Judy have one more thing between them, but this one is no secret at all. “Dead to Me” stars Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini both scored Best Comedy Actress Emmy nominations Tuesday, joining a short list of co-stars to be nominated in the same year.
The two are just the seventh pair to be shortlisted together (for a total of 13 sets of nominations) since 1966, when the Emmys established the category as we know it. The most recent duo was “Grace and Frankie’s” Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin in 2017. The only other instance this century occurred in 2005 when “Desperate Housewives” bagged three spots for Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Felicity Huffman. The trio broke through 16 years after another trio — “The Golden Girls'” Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan and Betty White — notched the last of their four straight nominations together in 1989.

Woody Harrelson is set to replace Jason Statham in Sony’s “The Man From Toronto,” joining Kevin Hart in the action-comedy, sources confirmed to Variety.
Statham was in talks to star opposite Hart, but abruptly backed out a week ago over creative differences, and Sony scrambled to find a new actor. Sony’s pairing with Harrelson makes sense, due to the actor’s long-standing relationship with the studio. Harrelson is not only the star of Sony’s “Zombieland” series, with the sequel bowing last October, but also recently wrapped his role as the villain Carnage in “Venom 2” opposite Tom Hardy.
The film revolves around a case of a mistaken identity after the world’s deadliest assassin, known as the “Man from Toronto,” and a stranger, played by Hart, run into each other at an Airbnb. Chaos soon follows as the assassin’s world comes crashing down on Hart’s.
