The Fall Guy (2024)
More of these movies please
Just back from the cinema and can't remove the smile from my face. This genre of movie has been really lacking lately. Silly, cheesy, action packed movies that are just fun.
I'm a fan of the original television show and while this is it's own thing it definitely gives a nod here and there to the 80's. The casting is great, the stunts are brilliant, the plot is fairly thin but hey, it's a popcorn movie. Not everything has to be Oscar worthy.
I'd really love to see more movies like this released. Very little CGI, good stunts and just fun. The homage to the stuntmen at the end of the movie was a really nice touch too. Job well done.
Rambo: Last Blood (2019)
If you're a John Rambo fan you'll love it
Sylvester Stallone, a thin plot, the Mexican Cartel, lots of inventive ways to make enemies dead, it's an absolute cracker. Don't listen to critics who are for some reason looking for something different from a Rambo movie. This is Rambo for Rambo fans.
Mowgli (2018)
Rudyard Kiplings Jungle Book.
Loved it! Don't expect any of the usual Disney sugar coating, this is the jungle book as Rudyard Kipling intended. The CGI was a little shaky but that could be forgiven as I'd imagine these Netflix movies don't have quite the same budget as the Hollywood blockbusters. Well worth the watch, well done.
Samurai Cop (1991)
Best bad movie ever.
Bad wigs, bad acting, bad sound, shaky camera, terrible plot, this movie has it all......and it's brilliant.
The Predator (2018)
A predator comedy
To be fair my expectations were fairly low so I didn't hate the movie but I won't be watching it again. It gets ridiculous and ultra cheesey towards the end. It's not really a movie, more like a sketch show of action scenes sprinkled with comedy strewn together.
