Warburton Ashe, trifles with her love. Thief Tony Pantelli befriends her in the tenement where she finds a room, tries to obtain money for her care from Ashe, and, failing, steals a goblet that Ashe has brought home from England, thinking it may be the Holy Grail. The goblet, which gives off a glow and is reputed to have healing powers, is recovered, stolen again, again recovered and stolen, and finally lost in a river. Meanwhile, Ashe exonerates Tony in night court, realizes he really loves Bessie, now cured, and is reunited with her.

Their old love wins out, they are reunited with Krauss's help, and the Duke gets the goldfish.
- Penrod and his gang don't want to let neighborhood "goodie-goodie" Georgie Bassett into their club, but Penrod's father pressures him to allow the boy in because his parents are wealthy and prominent members of the town. Finally the boys agree to let Georgie join, but first they demand that he undergo an "initiation", and they're determined to make it one that Georgie won't soon forget.

A picture of Jackie's mother brings out the fact that Jackie is Savelli's son, and all ends happily with Jackie and his father buying back the old farm for the Holdens.
- James Smith, millionaire Bible publisher, is concerned with spending the fortune he has acquired, while his wife, remembering their thrifty days, strives to make every penny count, despite the extravagant example set by Lucille, the wife of lawyer Edward Early. Smith receives a letter from two lady friends, both planning to visit him at his Atlantic City bungalow, and seeks the aid of Early, a neighbor. Both wives become suspicious and have a detective investigate the situation. In a series of fast maneuvers, James manages to separate the ladies from the wives; the latter are reconciled with their husbands after a general explanation, and Mrs. Smith determines to outspend the lady friends.
- Mr. Bretton's wife decides she would rather pursue an opera career, so they separate, leaving him to raise their young daughter Daphne (Mildred Harris). She is expelled from boarding school after Richard Wiltoner is found in her room under innocent circumstances. Her father sends her to the Adirondacks, where she meets a rogue and soon elopes with him. When her father discovers that he is a bigamist, he has their marriage annulled. Happily, Mrs. Bretton returns to her husband and Daphne and Richard fall in love and marry.
