- A poor young man named Raj joins a criminal gang to feed his mother. But when he falls in love with Rita, he decides to reform himself for her.
- When the ancient continent of Mu sank beneath the ocean, some of its inhabitant survived in caverns beneath the sea. Cowboy singer Gene Autry stumbles upon the civilization, now buried beneath his own Radio Ranch. The Muranians have developed technology and weaponry such as television and ray guns. Their rich supply of radium draws unscrupulous speculators from the surface. The peaceful civilization of the Muranians is corrupted by the greed from above, and it becomes Autry's task to prevent all-out war, ideally without disrupting his regular radio show.

- Pierre Gilieth has committed a murder in Paris. He flees to Barcelona, where he runs out of money. So he joins the Spanish Foreign Legion. He meets there two fellow countrymen, Mulot and Lucas. He tries to forget his fault... but Lucas's friendship soon appears to be less unselfish...
- Plantation owner William Hawkes (David Newell) doesn't approve of the fact that most of the white men on the island have married, or are living with native girls. He doesn't approve of mixed marriages and is equally opposed to accepting the "gifts of love" offered to him by the native girls. One night, after several hours of hard drinking, he sees Leilani (Mona Maris) bathing on the beach, and he watches her until he can resist his craving no longer. He catches her in his arms and she willingly accepts his embraces. She comes to live with him and waits on him hand and foot. Hawkes goes to San Francisco for a planter's convention and, when he returns, brings back society girl Lucille Cheney (Virginia Cherrill) as his wife. Leilana is heart-broken, while Lucille becomes quickly bored with her husband and Hawaii. Her boredom ends when Chandler Morris (Hardie Albright) sails into port on his yacht and he and Lucille begin an affair. Hawks drinks to forget. He catches Lucille and Chandler together and a fight ensues, Lucille, in an effort, to save her lover throws a kerosene lamp into the ripe sugar cane and fire spreads in all directions.
- A visiting American engages in a bold business promotion, the likes of which the British have not seen.
- Frankie Terris and Mannie Robbins are the two most powerful gangsters in their city. Frankie has a young sister, Louise, whom he has kept at a boarding school away from the stench of his racketeering. Mannie's young son, Joe, is also ignorant of his father's profession. Louise and Joe meet, and Joe tries to make love to her. Frankie interrupts and, in a fight that follows, kills Joe. Mannie vows to get Frankie. The latter, sentenced to Alcatraz, fears for Louise's safety and makes her promise to take a trip abroad. Louise learns that Mannie plans to shoot Frankie on the train taking him to prison, and she stows away in hopes of warning her brother. On the train, she falls into the protective arms of Federal Agent Bill Adams. Before she has a chance to warn Frankie, Mannie's henchmen go to work and a gangland shootout ensues.
- The Phantom Robber gets a fortune in jewels and some valuable papers from a robbery on the crack train "The Midnight Limited" and Val Lennon and his pretty assistant, Joan Marshall, are on his trail. But the Phantom strikes three more times and adds murder to his list. Val decides to use himself as bait, although Chief Harrigan and Joan beg him not to risk his life. But Val, disguised as a wealthy Canadian, boards the train for a rendezvous with a killer.
- There's an epidemic of missing girls in the city. The new assistant district attorney has to figure out what's going on before he loses his job, especially with a nosy reporter making his life difficult.
- Bob rides into a border town where he runs into trouble with Lambert and his gang. Herb arrests him claiming he is the outlaw El Diablo. But it was just to save him from Lambert's gang and the two now plan to trap the outlaws.
- A young lawyer is elected mayor of the city and promises to rid it of the corruption it's famous for. The problem is that most of the corruption he's vowed to eliminate is caused by the crooked political machine that helped elect him.

- "Mark's Priory," the Lebanons' family seat, is a house of terror to Ilsa Crane, Lady Lebanon's niece and secretary. The strange behavior of two sinister footmen, Gilder and Brooks, adds greatly to her fear, and her sole consolation lies in the sympathy extended her by young Lord William "Willie" Lebanon. A young architect, Richard Ferraby, arrives from London to inspect the ancient home in regards to renovations, and he and Isla are immediately attracted to each other. Lady Lebanon tells her son that he must marry Isla to carry on the family name but Lord Willie tells her he has no intentions of marrying. Later, the family physician, Dr. Amersham, arrives and it is evident he has some hold over Lady Lebanon. The chauffeur, Studd, hints that he knew Amersham in India and that Amersham was discharged from the Indian Army under unsavory circumstances. Isla and Richard find Studd murdered and suspicion falls on the gamekeeper, Tilling, whose wife had been more than a little friendly with Studd. But Chief Inspector Tanner and Deputy Sergeant Totty arrive from Scotland Yard and uncover evidence that points to Dr. Aversham as the killer, and Lord Willie substantiates the clue by telling them that Aversham had strangled a young Eurasian girl in India by using a red scarf--and Studd was found strangled with a red scarf. Just when the police are about to fold up their tidy little case, a telegram arrives from "Mark's Priory" informing them that Aversham has just been found murdered--strangled with a red scarf. Back to the drawing board.
- An evil scientist plots to take over the world from his base in Africa, where he has invented a machine that can cause earthquakes.
- Private detective Donegal Dawn, is summoned by the police commissioner to solve the reasons for a crime wave in Chinatown, and scoffs at the official ruling on tong-killings. His friend, Robert Rand, has has fallen for Zenobia, a clerk at Chan Tow Ling;s curio shop. Dawn tells Robert that their live would be in peril if he tries to take Zenobia away from Chinatown. That night, Robert breaks into the shop's cellar where he hears strange music and voices, and sees a weird ceremony in which (the mesmerized) Zenobia officiates as a priestess. Robert is captured by the worshipers. Dawn tracks the sinister "Order of the Black Rober" but can not find a trace of Robert, Zenobia or the cultists.

- A woman's husband has disappeared on an expedition into the jungle. She hires a guide to take her into the jungle to find him. However, they discover that he has been captured by a savage female tribe.
- An "exotic dancer" is thrown in jail for "lewd activity." She later discovers the raid was set up by her boss to get publicity.
- It is told that Hiram Moore (John Elliott), a miserly rancher, has a treasure hidden on his property and that a map to its location is hidden in his portrait. He dies in debt and prospective buyers are scared away by rumors that the ranch is haunted by his ghost. A spectral rider is seen on the ranch at night. A year after his death, his granddaughter, Jeanne Moore (Beth Marion), arrives from Santa Fe to assert her claim to the property. She meets Jerry Lane (Tom Tyler), who has just sold his ranch and stock, and wants to buy a ranch in the area. At the public auction, Jerry outbids both Jeanne and some crooks who are trying to get the ranch. Jrry invites Jeanne to stay at the ranch, and hires a Cockney, Eddie Parsons (Sammy Cohen), as his valet. Perdita (Soledad Jimenez), the ranch housekeeper is a spy for Brandon (Forrest Taylor), a rival rancher. Pedita helps Brandon steal the portrait, but Eddie, a kleptomaniac, has already swiped the map which was hidden in the portrait frame. Accordinng to the map, the treasure is buried at Tower Rock and can only be found under the light of a full moon. The moon turns full a week later. Tex, a gang member who has been impersonating the ghostly rider for Brandon, threatens to tell Jerry the truth. He is shot by Brandon's foreman, Mark Graydon (Charles King) and Brandon frames Jerry for the murder.
- A madman sets out to destroy a group of Chinatown merchants.
- The setting is 1803 and the Louisiana Purchase is imminent. Gilmore is smuggling guns into St. Louis so his men can make him Governor of the new Louisiana Territory. But when John Colfax, after conferring with President Jefferson, finds the guns, Gilmore gets him thrown in jail.
- A crazed scientist murders his wife, walls her up, then flees. A reporter sets out to track him down.

- Tom Wade is a range detective whose brother stands accused of robbing a bank and murdering the bank president. To prove him innocent, Wade must decipher his only clue, an unusual set of tire tracks.

- When Killer Dane kills Jeff's friend, Jeff goes after him. Jeff and Dane are look-alike half brothers and this leads Dane to make a raid dressed like Jeff. This gets Jeff arrested but before Dane's henchman can organize a lynch mob, Fuzzy breaks him out and Jeff heads after Dane again.
- Bob Marlow is sent undercover to an Arizona town where an outlaw gang, comprised of the six Tolliver brothers, have taken over the town and terrorizing the citizens. He comes to town, posing as an Eastern dude, and, through a series of incidents manages to get rid of three of the brothers, mostly through their own ineptness. The remaining brothers decide to get-while-the-gettin'-is good, rob the bank and head for the Mexican border. But Bob isn't far behind.
- Kildare kills Curt Fremont's brother Jim. When Curt arrives he poses as a coward in public but sneaks out unseen to become the daring El Capitan as he looks for the killer.
- One player on a baseball team lets his ego run his life and ends up losing the girl he is dating--who happens to be the team manager's daughter. Another player on the team is a great pitcher but a terrible catcher, is more of a comic relief, and is dating a somewhat odd girl.

- Ellen Bradford comes to the South Sea Island of Tonga to marry her fiancé and finds out that he is a drunk. She also finds out that she is the only white woman on the island and, as such, has three men taking a deep interest in her. She has written off her fiancé and has learned quickly that "Dutch Mike" Lutze is not to be trusted in any way. That leaves Jim Thorne, the only man who has ever bested Lutze in anything and, while Jim is an adventurer and pirate-at-heart, he knows how to be a gentleman, especially to the only white woman in town or on the island. Lutze is offended. They play poker for a plantation, Ellen, and all the pearls in the Pacific; the loser gets Poppi. Lutz has a marked deck of cards.
- Good-natured troublemaker "Cyclone" Tom Saunders is hired by a ranchers' association manager to investigate recent cattle rustling at one of their ranches and to see if a pair of nesters have anything to do with it. After discovering the nesters, pretty Betty Powell and her rickety old father, are incapable of rustling, Tom instead turns his attention to the huge, swaggering bully of a foreman, Nate Lenox.

- Tommy McCoy and "Dude" Markey are both in love with Harlem singer/dancer Nita. Markey robs a jewelry store and turns the loot over to gang-boss Murray Howard. Later, Markey robs the safe, steals the jewelry, and, in order to get rid of his rival for Nita, frames the robbery on McCoy. The latter's big-brother thinks otherwise and, with Nita's help, sets out to prove it.
- When a mother dies of heart failure in a doctor's office, the physician--feeling somewhat guilty because he couldn't save her--takes an interest in the woman's young daughter.
- A couple of lonesome wives, Marion Carter (Diana Churchill) and Diana Cheswick (June Clyde) fall for philanderer Leonard Drummond (Sir Rex Harrison), and arrange to get their husbands, Geoffrey Carter (Henry Kendall) and Morgan Cheswick (Romney Brent), off to Paris so they can be free for one night of fun and frolic. The husbands are all for this as they think it will cure their wives of being infatuated with this man-about-town. And they might run into some fun in Paris. Actually, the philanderer is the one who put the idea in their heads to go away so the coast will be clear for his marauding raid party, with no intentions of curing anybody of anything.
- Prizefighter Bob Neal (Ray Walker) is in debt to gangster Vic Santell (Hooper Atchley) for training expenses. Santell orders Bob to take a dive in the fourth round so Santell can recoup prior gambling losses. Taunted by his ring opponent, Bob wins the fight. Realizing that his profession and underworld characters connected to it are causing him problems, Bob decides to join the police force. After taking nurse Mary Prentiss (Geneva Mitchell) to a drive-in restaurant where the total bill is a depression-era cheap eighty-two cents, Bob and his fellow officers round-up a gang of fur thieves in a warehouse shoot-out.
- During WW1, a train is stopped by a bombing; a young soldier takes advantage of the opportunity to go to his native village to see his parents.
