- The "Chinese Food Culture" series of documentaries was planned by Japan's Kikkoman Co., Ltd. in the early 1980s, produced by Japan's Iwanami Film Production Co., Ltd., and photographed and collected in China. There are five episodes in total, which respectively introduce the food culture of Beijing, Guangzhou, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and Sichuan, as well as the cooking skills of Chinese cuisine. The Chinese side of this documentary was led by the Ministry of Culture at that time, and catering service companies and related stores from all over the country cooperated to complete the material collection. Since this film was made more than 30 years ago, there may be differences between the content and narrative in the film and the current expression, but you can still feel the intention of this documentary.
