Through our Action for Autism project, 'Qualified', was made with the ASD community every step of the way and was designed to focus on a key phase of transition from education to employment. The main character is a girl because there is an increasing number of girls being diagnosed and ASD is no longer considered just a male specific disorder. It is a spectrum and the NAS has already done a tremendous job attempting to represent a more intense experience. The aim was to address the top end of the spectrum and debunk the idea that everyone on the spectrum can't function and can't work.
