- Inspector Vijay Verma is a very lonely cop whose only family is a younger brother, Ajay Verma, who is studying abroad. He also has two good friends, Shekhar and Seema. One day when he arrests criminal mastermind Jojo Braganza, he is shocked when Jojo is released from police custody because his corrupt lawyer shows the court a videotape of him at a completely different place,therefore he couldn't have committed the crime. From this day on they become enemies and Vijay is hot on Jojo's trail every time he commits a crime. One day while watching a film called 'Seeta Aur Geeta', he realizes that two people can be at different places at the same time if they are twins. He realizes that Jojo has a twin brother, Tony, who covers for him each time he commits a crime so he can get away with it easily. He successfully gets Jojo arrested and put in prison. However Jojo escapes and hides out at the house of Shekhar and Seema. When Shekhar realizes that Tony and Jojo are wanted criminals., he tries to contact Vijay. But Tony and Jojo find out and kill both Shekhar and Seema. Vijay is devastated by the loss of his two best friends and is comforted by nightclub dancer Sapna, and he falls in love with her. After his friends' deaths, he finds out that Tony and Jojo have Ajay on their hit list, so he tries to stop them, but his police commissioner, Shashi Kapoor, warns him against it.
- Rich industrialist Raj meets Priya in Shimla and falls madly in love with her, but she ignores him. Her mother tells her she should marry him as he is a good person, and she should tell him everything about her past. Priya writes a letter to Raj, which his servant Hari misplaces and replaces with another letter. Priya has mentioned everything about her past in it that she was married to an abusive husband, Vikram, who made her life hell; she managed to run away from him and start a new life in Shimla. Raj forgives and accepts Priya after finding the truth. Vikram, who believed that Priya drowned herself, find out that she's alive and about to marry Raj, and manages to trace them to Shimla. He tries to kill Raj; on failing, he sends him to jail and goes to kill Priya.

Then Pramod is grievously wounded while trying to protect Geeta and is hospitalized. Shekhar will soon find out that Ritesh's killing is closely linked to high-ranked police officials - and he will also find out that that no matter what he does, he will, leave alone Geeta, be unable to protect himself, Meena and his daughter.

The same night Shankar red-handily catches Deepak committing a murder, arrests him and logged him in a cell; then Shankar goes home to hear that his niece, Pooja is pregnant with Deepak's child only to arrange the marriage of Pooja and Deepak. In the midst of the wedding Shankar is forced to arrest his brother, Vinay; unable to bear this Deepak decides to go about a quest that will provide evidences to prove Vinay's innocence only to be killed. Shankar then suspects foul play and decides to conduct investigations that will bring the real culprits to justice.

- After his wife passes away, wealthy Advocate Mahendrapratap Singh re-marries a widow named Geeta, who has a young son named Devilal alias Devi. Mahendrapratap dislikes Devi to such an extent that one day he asks Geeta to make a choice between her son and him. Shortly thereafter, Judge Saxena is killed, a pregnant Geeta is arrested, charged with killing him, with Saxena's wife, Roopa, and Mahendrapratap testifying against her, she is sentenced to 14 years in prison. In prison she gives birth to a son, calls him Raja alias Raju and right from his infancy trains his young mind to hate Mahendrapratap, so that when he grows up he will avenge her humiliation. The question remains, will Raju be able to carry out this vengeance against his biological father or does fate have other plans for him?
- The emperor thwarts his intention of parting with his belongings to his lecherous nephew, Thakur Veer Pratap Singh and instead pledge everything to his grandson, Prince Anil. Before the Thakur can take any action on Crown Prince Anil; the emperor asks his trusted manager, Diwan Sardarilal to escape with Anil. But the Thakur catches up with the Diwan and abducts him thus he is separated from his wife and children with the crown prince losing his way in the process. Even after 20 years the Thakur is still holding the Diwan as hostage until he release information about two separate lockets which contains a secret map leading to a hidden treasure.
- Jageera Singh has always lived a life of crime, drinking alcohol, and frequenting brothels, although he is married to pregnant Laxmi and has a son named Vikram. When Police Inspector Vikram's diligence causes problems for Bhanupratap, Jageera offers to kill Vikram, especially when Bhanupratap's niece Priya falls in love and wants to marry Vikram. At this point the past revisits Jageera and he comes face-to-face with his past wrong actions and the devastation that he has inflicted on his family.
