- A police commissioner enlists the aid of an eccentric inspector to end a gang war between bitter enemies.
- Although scores of people migrate to Bombay, from all over India, most do not even have a roof to live under. Some who are lucky manage to find accommodations but pay very high rents, and others who find accommodations refuse to vacate under any circumstances. Two such tenants are Mrs. Laxmi Abhyankar and her employed daughter, Jaya, who live in a flat in Pali Hill area. They had rented this flat from Lucknow-based Kundanlal Choudhury 15 years ago and have been paying him the same amount of Rs.500/- since then. Kundanlal's son, Anil, comes to Bombay to seek employment, and does get employed. His dad wants him to go and live with the Abhyankars, which he does. He falls in love with Jaya and both plan to get married soon. While in Lucknow, Kundanlal misses his son and re-locates to Bombay, and would like the Abhyankars to vacate the flat. Jaya and Laxmi refuse to vacate, and ask Anil to leave, which he does. Now both Anil and his father reside in a small room, and file a complaint in the local court to arrange to evict the Abhyankars, who have also sworn to fight this matter right to the very end. Watch as lawyers take over their respective lives, get their fees, and get adjournment after adjournment - leaving the Abhyankars and the Choudhurys hanging in suspense as to what is going to happen next.
- In aid of seeking revenge for his dad's death, against a bandit called Kala Daku, Shankar team up with two men, a police inspector, Mangal and a run away convict, Vijay. Shankar makes his living by driving a truck while Vijay and Mangal masquerade as villagers to surface as saviors to protect the village against Kala's gang. And then Kala and his men abduct Vijay; now Mangal and the entire police force will have to negotiate with Kala to let Vijay off in exchange for the landlord's son.
- Sandeep Anand is a wealthy industrialist. He runs an organization, and falls in love with one of his employees named Geeta, who comes from a lower middle class family, and wants to marry a man in the same class. Sandeep convinces her that he works for Mr. Anand, and both fall in love. When Geeta and her family find out that Sandeep has been lying to them, they have him arrested for impersonation. When Sandeep convinces the police that he is indeed the real Sandeep Anand, he is released. When Sandeep attempts to woo Geeta back, she will have nothing to do with him, as he lied to her. Sandeep will now have to prove his love for Geeta all over again.
- Narendra is the owner of a newspaper that faces financial difficulties. His wife comes from a rich family and refuses to assist Narendra with his problems, and complains about his financial inadequacies all the time, and takes off to visit her family frequently. Financial difficulties compound to such an extend that Narendra may be forced to close his newspaper, and his health also suffers. Will his wife and her family help him now? Excellent acting scores from the entire cast.
- Freelance photographer, Alok Prakash, while photographing women hockey players in action, is hit by the puck, loses his senses and his hospitalized. His brother-in-law, a lawyer by the name of Prem Sagar, decides to capitalize on this accident, and to sue Alok's employer for a large sum of money, so that they can live comfortably for the rest of their lives. He explains his plan to Alok, and asks the rest of the family also to go on with this charade - with hilarious results - that will change their lives forever.
