- A lonely university student develops a romance with a beautiful interesting woman, who turns out to be a cyborg from the future.
- Since ancient times, there have been books responsible for all of Earth's civilization. These books were written with all sorts of myths, stories, living things, sources of science and technology. The book was protected by the "Holy Sword" and the "Selected Swordsman", keeping the world in balance. However, thousands of years ago, an attempt was made to steal the books. The books were scattered around the world and disappeared. This battle raged on in secret. In the present day, novelist Kamiyama Touma has a recurring dream: In another world, a swordsman fights a fierce battle with a monster in a book, and a mysterious girl seeks help. Every time he dreams about it, Touma is caught in the feeling that he is forgetting something important, but he doesn't know what that is or who the girl is. It seems that everyday life can collapse so easily. The dream always happens without warning. Suddenly, a strange phenomenon occurs where part of the city disappears. Important family members, friends, lovers disappear in front of each other's eyes. On the other hand, part of the disappeared city appears in a mysterious world. "Where are you?" "What happened?" "How can I get back?" The desperate people wonder. Touma and Mei Sudo, the editor-in-chief, are suddenly involved in this phenomenon. Surprisingly, the other world is very similar to the dream that Touma often has, and like the dream, mysterious monsters invade and begin to destroy the city. "I will definitely bring the city back to its original world!" Suddenly, a flaming sword appears as if responding to Touma's thoughts. As soon as he picks up the sword, he wields the power of the dragon, becoming "The Swordsman of Fire".

She has no idea that this death is just the beginning of a horrendous nightmare.
- The film stars Ken Mitsuishi as a 50-year-old single father named Miyata Junichi. Back in junior high, Junichi was bullied and made a promise to himself that he would grow up to be really cool. Junichi has been raising his two children, an unemployed 19-year-old named Toshiya (Morioka Ryu) and an 18-year-old high school senior named Momoko (Yoshinaga Jun) on his own since his wife died of cancer 15 years earlier. He works extremely hard as a truck driver to buy whatever he thinks his kids want; and even though money is tight, he never lets it show. One day, Junichi feels ill and becomes obsessed with the idea that he may be dying of cancer like his wife. Convinced his life will soon be ending, he begins putting his affairs in order and borrows tuition money from his best friend and only confidant, Sanada (Taguchi Tomorowo). However, in his never-ending attempt to be a cool adult, he refuses to burden his children with any of his problems.

- A high school girl, Wara, looks cheerful, but she conceals darkness deep in her mind. On a sudden impulse, she nearly climbs over a fence on the hospital roof, when an unacquainted boy, called Dino, persuades her otherwise. Concerned about troubled Wara, Dino puts a bandage on the fence. Wara feels comforted by his act, and comes up with an idea to form "Hotai Club" (Bandage Club). The Club asks people to post their bruising experiences on the site, then the Club applies a bandage to the damaged part or the place, and a digital photograph is sent back to the original poster. Wara started the Club with Dino and other friends. Club members each have their own problems, but they are gradually freed from their worries through the activities of the Club.
- 10 years ago Hide, a college student, meets Gakuko Yuki, an older woman, through work. They become lovers with Hide falling hard for Yuki. The following year, Yuki abruptly announces one day that she is going to marry another man. This devastates Hide. Hide eventually finishes college and finds a job, but his yearning for Yuki leads him into depression and alcoholism. Meanwhile, Yuki is involved in a car accident and suffers a life altering injury. Now, 10 years later the two former lovers come across each other once again. They are both shells of their former selves.
