- A gang of professional thieves pulls off their great hit: they rob millions from a downtown financial company. They must hide and wait until a forger provides them with passports to leave the country. They choose Polvareda, a small town lost in the vast argentine plains that is also connected with the gang's past -a past that will come back to settle some unfinished business. They must remain in that peaceful place for a little more than a day. They have two bags filled with money, some guns, lots of free time and, a habit for messing things up. An urban crime story, western, comedy... That and much more is what 'Polvareda' is about.
- Welcome to a fantastic land. "The Monsters" has as only geography Famatina, in La Rioja, Argentina. A town with a small population, isolated by mountains and close to the clouds. Still today, as in another places in the world people still believes in dwarfs or lake monsters, its inhabitants believe in the Mikilo. A fantastic creature that, by people's stories, appears as a short guy with a big hat, red eyes and malformed face. And the best is that this inhabitants did direct contact, even declare to been beaten by him when they were drunk. But not only the Mikilo's presence surrounds the place, its people talks about witches, bad lights and men without heads. ¡Believe it or not. The big issue with The Monsters is the Argentine Northwest as mythological reserve. It's much more than a documentary about the fantastic stories which people tell. It's the investigation of the Myth and the possibilities to film it. To get into the mystery. To explore the mythological and religious dimension of a town, a region, a country.
