- Umi Ishihara soaks the frame with melancholia as her characters drive into the night with no destination in sight for her effortlessly cool debut feature that explores the limbo state of becoming an adult.
- Features a young Shibuya girl, sometimes she messes things up, sometimes she is sad or depressed but she lives her life for the fun moments. In these moments she can forget everything which has come before her in life. She needs these moments to keep her going. In constructing this work I tried to embracing the feeling of the fluctuating heart, bouncing between happiness and sadness. Playing with the stereotypes of youth culture, such as loneliness, and a life of excess, I carried this drunk girl from my parents apartment on edge of Shibuya, to Shibuya Station to wait for the first train home. This is a performance archive video.
- A couple with some issues has just moved into the town. Driving through the town, they see many "weird" people from a car window. They began to wonder why they had decided to come to this place. They step in an old Chinese restaurant.
- Set in a church in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture, where the congregation that includes a former Buddhist priest, a former homeless person, and an abuse victim, perform the Passion of Christ. They combine that story with passages that depict the hardships they have endured and what they are experiencing right now.
- Follows a young woman's descent into a digital wormhole via her obsession with a BDSM account run by an unknown user. The film examines social media's ability to acquire organicity whilst also distorting subjective reality.
- An experimental essay film drawing on my own personal experiences. The story features psychedelic drugs, and carries an unreal sense about it throughout, so the noisy, slightly unpredictable nature of analogue film. "Acid Pigeon" has two different parts: the more narrative focused part, and a more essay focused part. The narrative section is set late at night, and shows a surreal interaction between a strange, slightly threatening young man, and a young woman which takes place on the street after a party.
