- The Australian Guild of Screen Composers was established in 1985 to represent composers working in the fields of film, television, advertising, video and more recently, multi-media. Our current paid-up membership includes most of the professionals working in Australia. (from the AGSC web site)
- In late 2002 AGSC inaugurated the Australian Screen Music Awards together with the Australasian Performing Rights Association (APRA).
