Milano International Film Festival Awards (MIFF Awards)
Milan, Italy
Notes
- The Milan International Film Festival or MIFF was founded in the year of 2000 to encourage the work of the independent and experimental filmmaker and provide a world-class international platform to promote their films. Headed by a distinguished and select group of film makers, MIFF is Italy's unique nonprofit event established to promote the concept of film as art; and organized to present an annual festival prior to the opening of MIFED ("Mercato Internazionale del Film e del Documentario") in Milan. Open to all independent and experimental film genres from the world over, MIFF is considered the premiere access for contemporary and future generations of film professionals, scholars, and visionaries engaged in the art of filmmaking, to penetrate the movie industry and its international business scene. (from the festival's web site, 2001)
- The 2000 awards have been designed by Milanese artist Giuseppe Rizzi.
