Movies that never should've been made
Note: These movies might still be good but I believe they ruined the series, unnecessary or were just plain stupid. I may have loved these movies but perhaps I think Hollywood would of been better without them.

- DirectorAlan TaylorStarsAlessandro NivolaLeslie Odom Jr.Jon BernthalWitness the making of Tony Soprano. The story that reveals the humanity behind Tony's struggles and the influence his family - especially his uncle, Dickie Moltisanti - had over him becoming the most iconic mob boss of all time. Not enough screen-time for Gandolfini, poor plot with many unnecessary storylines. Major disappointment.
- DirectorSimon KinbergStarsJames McAvoyMichael FassbenderJennifer LawrenceJean Grey begins to develop incredible powers that corrupt and turn her into a Dark Phoenix, causing the X-Men to have to decide if her life is worth more than all of humanity.Should have stopped at Apocalypse and ended the series on a high note.
- DirectorJosh CooleyStarsTom HanksTim AllenAnnie PottsWhen a new toy called "Forky" joins Woody and the gang, a road trip alongside old and new friends reveals how big the world can be for a toy.Unnecessary sequel. The 3rd one ended the series perfectly. This one was a good addition to the franchise and I enjoyed the film but still felt the first 3 would have been better left alone as a trilogy.
- DirectorDavid AyerStarsWill SmithJared LetoMargot RobbieA secret government agency recruits some of the most dangerous incarcerated super-villains to form a defensive task force. Their first mission: save the world from the apocalypse. The worst DC film of their new era released. Poor writing with terrible editing and plot. Acting and soundtrack are great but you need a lot more than that to make a good film.
- DirectorNicholas StollerStarsSeth RogenRose ByrneZac EfronWhen their new next-door neighbors turn out to be a sorority even more debaucherous than the fraternity that lived there before, Mac and Kelly team with their former enemy, Teddy, to bring the girls down.Pointless and stupid. Only made to cash in on earnings of first film.
- DirectorCiarán FoyStarsJames RansoneShannyn SossamonRobert Daniel SloanA young mother and her twin sons move into a rural house that's marked for death.Watchable sequel that was very disappointing considering trailers were very scary. Very few good scares, tapes of children's kills were not creative and just grotesque not very scary.
- DirectorSteve PinkStarsRob CorddryCraig RobinsonClark DukeWhen Lou's shot in the groin, Nick and Jacob drag him in the Hot Tub Time Machine to go back in time and save Lou. The three end up 10 years in the future, where they need to go to find the shooter.Bad sequel that did not even include the main character from the first one. Rest of the cast was difficult to relate to and carry the film whereas Cusack's character from the first was relatable.
- DirectorFrank MillerRobert RodriguezStarsMickey RourkeJessica AlbaJosh BrolinSome of Sin City's most hard-boiled citizens cross paths with a few of its more reviled inhabitants.Sub-par sequel that was unnecessary and not good like the original. The original would have been better as a standalone film.
- DirectorGareth EdwardsStarsAaron Taylor-JohnsonElizabeth OlsenBryan CranstonThe world is beset by the appearance of monstrous creatures, but one of them may be the only one who can save humanity.Remake didn't have anything better than the 98 version. Just as bad. Started out good in the first half hour with some promise then slowly digressed to the point of a forgettable film and wanting my two hours back.
- DirectorKenneth BranaghStarsChris PineKevin CostnerKeira KnightleyJack Ryan, as a young covert C.I.A. analyst, uncovers a Russian plot to crash the U.S. economy with a terrorist attack.Reboot of the franchise with a killer cast but the weak script and utterly terrible performance from Kenneth Branagh made this film the worst of the franchise.
- DirectorJosé PadilhaStarsJoel KinnamanGary OldmanMichael KeatonIn 2028 Detroit, when Alex Murphy, a loving husband, father and good cop, is critically injured in the line of duty, the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp sees their chance for a part-man, part-robot police officer.Very good movie, good script and great performances. Just should of waited years later since remake was not necessary.
- DirectorSpike LeeStarsJosh BrolinElizabeth OlsenSamuel L. JacksonObsessed with vengeance, a man sets out to find out why he was kidnapped and locked into solitary confinement for twenty years without reason.Unnecessary American remake with several questions left unanswered. Maybe Spike Lee's 140 minute cut would be better? Who knows...
- DirectorJoe SwanbergStarsOlivia WildeJake JohnsonAnna KendrickLuke and Kate are coworkers at a brewery who spend their nights drinking and flirting heavily. One weekend away together with their significant others proves who really belongs together and who doesn't.One of the worst films ive ever seen. The flow is terrible.
- DirectorRidley ScottStarsMichael FassbenderPenélope CruzCameron DiazA lawyer finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking. The plot was all over the place. Cameron Diaz car scene was stupid. Movie dragged on and was just plain stupid.
- DirectorRobert RodriguezStarsDanny TrejoAlexa PenaVegaMel GibsonThe U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.Machete was an awesome movie and a parody of B-movies. But it didn't need a sequel. Unnecessary and stupid plot. Still worth seeing as it is mildly entertaining and who doesn't like Machete? But it was not needed
- DirectorZack SnyderStarsHenry CavillAmy AdamsMichael ShannonAn alien child is evacuated from his dying world and sent to Earth to live among humans. His peace is threatened when other survivors of his home planet invade Earth.Crummy remake with too much action and not enough story. Many missing plot holes and a disappointment. Sure the acting was fine and the music was great but the hour long Zod fight got boring.
- DirectorDean ParisotStarsBruce WillisHelen MirrenJohn MalkovichRetired CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. The first one was an ok, mildly entertaining movie. It did not need a sequel. This film was so cheesy and stupid and the action car scenes looked fake. The movie did not take it self seriously and the script was horrible.
- DirectorRuben FleischerStarsSean PennRyan GoslingEmma StoneIt's 1949 Los Angeles, the city is run by gangsters and a malicious mobster, Mickey Cohen. Determined to end the corruption, John O'Mara assembles a team of cops, ready to take down the ruthless leader and restore peace to the city.A major disappointment. It's ok but I did not like how they incorporated humor into a mafia film. VERY CHEESY! Some memorable scenes but very false and loosely based on true events.
- DirectorKeenen Ivory WayansStarsAnna FarisMarlon WayansAntony AckerFour teens are tricked by a professor into visiting a haunted house for a school project.Perhaps one of the most disappoiting sequels of all-time. The first one wasn't great but it was ok but this one is in my top 5 worst movies I've seen all-time. 1 star for Chris Elliot's performance and the other for the amusing opening sequence with James Woods.
- DirectorMalcolm D. LeeDavid ZuckerStarsSimon RexAshley TisdaleCharlie SheenA couple begin to experience some unusual activity after bringing their lost nieces and nephew home. With the help of home-surveillance cameras, they learn they're being stalked by a nefarious demon. Not as horrible as the second entry in the franchise but still terrible. The pool cleaner keg party was so dumb. Half the jokes were just plain out stupid ideas that a kid could of made a funnier idea.
- DirectorRidley ScottStarsNoomi RapaceLogan Marshall-GreenMichael FassbenderFollowing clues to the origin of mankind, a team finds a structure on a distant moon, but they soon realize they are not alone.Good movie but it shouldn't of been made with the connection to the alien a.k.a xenomorph. I found that stupid that the effects and technology were superior even if "Alien" took place after it.
- DirectorJoe AlvesStarsDennis QuaidBess ArmstrongSimon MacCorkindaleA giant thirty-five-foot shark becomes trapped in a SeaWorld theme park and it's up to the sons of police chief Brody to rescue everyone.Poor Dennis...
- DirectorJoseph SargentStarsLorraine GaryLance GuestMario Van PeeblesChief Brody's widow believes that her family is deliberately being targeted by another shark in search of revenge.Poor Michael...
- DirectorPaul W.S. AndersonStarsSanaa LathanLance HenriksenRaoul BovaDuring an archaeological expedition on Bouvetøya Island in Antarctica, a team of archaeologists and other scientists find themselves caught up in a battle between the two legends. Soon, the team realize that only one species can win.Why take two of the best sci-fi creatures and put them together to make a crappy movie?
- DirectorColin StrauseGreg StrauseStarsReiko AylesworthSteven PasqualeShareeka EppsWarring Alien and Predator races descend on a rural Colorado town, where unsuspecting residents must band together for any chance of survival.Way better then the first one but still bad. Why make a sequel to one of the worst films of all-time?
