Vietnam War Films
The Vietnam War was a conflict that took place in the territories of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia from November 1, 1955 until the fall of Saigon on April 30, 1975. It was the second conflict that was part of what became known as the Indochina Wars, which began in 1945 and lasted until 1991.
The war was fought, for the most part, on the territory of Vietnam, which was fought between North Vietnam (Democratic Republic of Vietnam; supported by the Soviet Union, China and other socialist states) and South Vietnam (Republic of Vietnam; supported by the United States, South Korea and other anti-socialism countries). The conflict spread between neighboring countries, worsening already existing internal conflicts (the civil wars in Laos and Cambodia). The conflict was considered a proxy war between the USA and USSR.
