- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsHarrison FordKaren AllenPaul FreemanIn 1936, archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones is hired by the U.S. government to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis can obtain its awesome powers. With fantastic action sequences fueled by brilliant stunts, the original is still the best and most nuanced film in the series. The characters and situations are great, even though the protagonist doesn't actually have much impact on the plot.
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsHarrison FordSean ConneryAlison DoodyIn 1938, after his father goes missing while pursuing the Holy Grail, Indiana Jones finds himself up against the Nazis again to stop them from obtaining its powers. This feels more like the original than 'Temple Of Doom' and is very fun because of it. The more comedic tone doesn't hinder the film but it doesn't help it either, yet the action is as good as it's ever been (if slightly neutered.)
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsHarrison FordKate CapshawKe Huy QuanIn 1935, Indiana Jones is tasked by Indian villagers with reclaiming a rock stolen from them by a secret cult beneath the catacombs of an ancient palace.Darker and more violent than the first, this different take on Jones still has some great action sequences and characters - if a few are a little annoying, especially Willie. There's some sequences are a little cheesy but I think the film is endlessly quotable and effortlessly fun.
- DirectorJames MangoldStarsHarrison FordPhoebe Waller-BridgeAntonio BanderasArchaeologist Indiana Jones races against time to retrieve a legendary artifact that can change the course of history.
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsHarrison FordCate BlanchettShia LaBeoufIndiana Jones becomes entangled in a Soviet plot to uncover the secret behind mysterious artifacts known as the Crystal Skulls. What a let down, I don't know what possessed Spielberg and co to think that this was a good idea - let alone a good script! It is really contrived, makes little sense and features unrealistic CGI fueled action. Harrison Ford is as great as Indy as ever, but the film around him doesn't hold a candle to the others in the series.
