- DirectorMike NewellStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintHarry Potter finds himself competing in a hazardous tournament between rival schools of magic, but he is distracted by recurring nightmares. My favorite Harry Potter movie. I like this one the best because of the TriWizard tournament (it was a nice break from the Voldemort stuff) and it was my favorite book in the series, and I was very pleased with how it was adapted. Its fun, exciting and so different than the others. It just stands out, and its the one I watch the most.
10/10 - DirectorChris ColumbusStarsDaniel RadcliffeRupert GrintEmma WatsonAn orphaned boy enrolls in a school of wizardry, where he learns the truth about himself, his family and the terrible evil that haunts the magical world.Along with the "Lord of the Rings" series, this film changed the way my eight year old mind watched movies. This was THE movie that everyone saw and that we all loved. It was dark, fun, spooky and thrilling. My childhood wouldn't have been the same without it.
9/10 - DirectorDavid YatesStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintAs Harry, Ron and Hermione race against time and evil to destroy the Horcruxes, they uncover the existence of the three most powerful objects in the wizarding world: the Deathly Hallows.Perfect beginning of the end. This film has the most character development and is a fun adventure. Its also the darkest of the series which I also liked. I just love how deep and risqué it is. It really showed how far us Potter fans have come as far as maturity and dedication.
9/10 - DirectorAlfonso CuarónStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintHarry Potter, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for their third year of study, where they delve into the mystery surrounding an escaped prisoner who poses a dangerous threat to the young wizard. My least favorite book is now one of my more favorite Potter movies. I didn't care for the book that much; it kind of bored me as a kid. But, now that I'm older, I see why this is a favorite to so many. It really sets a lot up for the future installments and has great development. It was also nice seeing Harry and Hermione on an adventure by themselves. Its sad that it took me this long to realize its greatness. Plus it introduced Sirius Black!
9/10 - DirectorChris ColumbusStarsDaniel RadcliffeRupert GrintEmma WatsonHarry Potter lives his second year at Hogwarts with Ron and Hermione when a message on the wall announces that the legendary Chamber of Secrets has been opened. The trio soon realize that, to save the school, it will take a lot of courage. For many years, this was actually my favorite Potter film for the longest time. Now that I'm older, I see its very obvious flaws (its dated effects, cheesy dialogue, etc). But, I still a soft spot for. Its got a great story, humor, character and charm. Its very close to book and it will always been in the top 5!
8/10 - DirectorDavid YatesStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintHarry, Ron, and Hermione search for Voldemort's remaining Horcruxes in their effort to destroy the Dark Lord as the final battle rages on at Hogwarts. This film is in the middle because, although I enjoyed, I was so sad when it was released. I never wanted it to be released because then there would be no more Potter films to follow. But, it was a great and epic conclusion. It was action packed, suspenseful, heart felted and I could tell the cast and crew were putting their all into it. Its not one of THE strongest, but still an epic film nevertheless!
8/10 - DirectorDavid YatesStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintAs Harry Potter begins his sixth year at Hogwarts, he discovers an old book marked as "the property of the Half-Blood Prince" and begins to learn more about Lord Voldemort's dark past. This film is a blur to me. Its one of those films that, after I watch it, I can't recall what just happened. Its the only Potter film I wasn't able to see in theaters and I'm glad I didn't pay the money. I mean...Dumbledore's SPOILER death wasn't even that dramatic and I felt that they just rushed through everything. But, the action was good, the story stayed on focus and it was a thrilling ride.
7/10 - DirectorDavid YatesStarsDaniel RadcliffeEmma WatsonRupert GrintWith their warning about Lord Voldemort's return scoffed at, Harry and Dumbledore are targeted by the Wizard authorities as an authoritarian bureaucrat slowly seizes power at Hogwarts. The most forgettable of the series, which was a huge disappointment as its my second favorite book. The film is a mess and barely sticks to the book. The ONLY enjoyable parts of the movie were Umbridge (played wonderfully by Imelda Staunton) and Bellatrix (played by the always brilliant Helena Bonham Carter). The effects are nice, but that's about it.
