- DirectorJohn FordStarsHenry FondaJane DarwellJohn CarradineAn Oklahoma family, driven off their farm by the poverty and hopelessness of the Dust Bowl, joins the westward migration to California, suffering the misfortunes of the homeless in the Great Depression.Oranges
This historical drama tells the story about poor Midwest family forced off their land during the Great Depression. Homeless people then traveled to California in hope to get back on their feet as fruit pickers. But the reality of California was far from the promised land they hoped it would be. The movie has touching story, dark and heavy atmosphere, great cast and directing, and it must have left the strong impression because, a few years after watching, I remember it as if I watched it a few days ago. Although I'm aware of its objective qualities, for some reason I did not enjoy it. I suppose it's just a matter of taste, but I can not give a higher rating to something I did not like.
7/10 - DirectorJohn HustonStarsHumphrey BogartMary AstorGladys GeorgeSan Francisco private detective Sam Spade takes on a case that involves him with three eccentric criminals, a gorgeous liar and their quest for a priceless statuette, with the stakes rising after his partner is murdered. Not my cup of tea
Despite its reputation, nominations and awards, this film was boring to me. And I did not like the girls either.
7/10 - DirectorOrson WellesFred FleckRobert WiseStarsTim HoltJoseph CottenDolores CostelloThe spoiled young heir to the decaying Amberson fortune comes between his widowed mother and the man she has always loved. If you like Orson, then it's OK. Not my cup of tea thou.
What a bunch of degenerates, all of them dumb-asses. Collection of miserable failures, wasted lives, and what is even worse, they are not collateral damage of ambition of others or victims of force majeure and unfortunate set of circumstances. O no, they destroyed their own lives themselves and without any objective rational reasons. I mean... I know it's only a movie, but they raised my blood pressure to a million. Such fools, even God can't help them. Maybe I am stupid for some types of art, but I really could not digest this rubbish.

This movie was nominated for eight Academy Awards, and it won three - Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screenplay. On every list I ever encountered it is placed very high, often in the top ten. I have seen it several times and I still don't understand why. The movie is good and I love it, but if it were to win any Oscars than that Oscar should have gone into the hands of legendary Humphrey Bogart, one of the best actors of all time, because, in my opinion, Bogart is what made this film stand out above the average.
7/10 - DirectorBilly WilderStarsFred MacMurrayBarbara StanwyckEdward G. RobinsonA Los Angeles insurance representative lets an alluring housewife seduce him into a scheme of insurance fraud and murder that arouses the suspicion of his colleague, an insurance investigator.Overrated
This film noir is nominated for seven Oscars, considered one of the best in the genre, and even one of the best movies overall. It is undisputedly good film, but I wouldn't place it so high. The story is very good, but quite predictable, and the performances of the leading actors weren't convincing enough to me. It's like they didn't know their lines by heart, as they struggled too much. Maybe it's just me, but I simply didn't buy it. Wilder, on the other hand, nailed it as usual.
7/10 - DirectorVincente MinnelliStarsJudy GarlandMargaret O'BrienMary AstorYoung love and childish fears highlight a year in the life of a turn-of-the-century family.Sweet
Cute relaxing movie. God knows how it got four Oscar nominations and to me it's understandable why it didn't win any.

Except for Humphrey Bogart, who expectedly nailed his role, this is just an average Film-Noir. It is considered one of the best movies of all time, but I honestly cannot understand why.

It really is a nice movie and three hours flew by, but I honestly cannot see why is it considered one of the best movies of all time and how it won seven Academy Awards. I have no objections to it, because it is good, but nothing particularly fascinating...

It is considered to be one of the best achievements in film noir genre, and it can be found near the top of many lists of the best films of all time. I can not explain why exactly, but to me it was slightly boring, although I can not deny its many qualities.

But his tyrannical behavior along the way causes a mutiny, led by his adopted son.Top 10 best westerns of all time ?! Nope. In my opinion just average movie. After Hawks' Bringing Up Baby, His Girl Friday, Scarface, The Big Sleep... this comes pretty much as disappointment. :(

And once again, I'm too stupid to figure out why... Average tra-la-la western story. It is not bad for a western, although it is not much above the average in the genre, and within the entire history of the film, I'm not giving it a crumb above the six.

This really is a good movie, I agree with that. But winning 8 Academy Awards... that part I do not understand. In my subjective opinion, this movie is above average, but nothing really special. I do not see its greatness and excellence.

I am not saying that the movie is bad. It has its qualities and it is quite watchable and somewhat enjoyable. But calling it excellent, a masterpiece and one of the best movies of all time is really terrible overprizing.
7/10 - DirectorNicholas RayStarsJames DeanNatalie WoodSal MineoA rebellious young man with a troubled past comes to a new town, finding friends and enemies.Overrated
Why is this movie considered to be one of the best movies of all time?! Is it bad? No, it is pretty good. But excellent?! I can understand all the euphoria in its own time because premiere were just a month after the death of the rising star James Dean. That death made a cult out of this film. But being legendary does not make it a masterpiece. This movie is OK and nothing more than OK.

This one takes 7th place and Wild Bunch is not on the list at all. Screw that list. The movie is not bad, but it has a tendency to bore a bit. Nice story, solidly made and that's it.

When I first saw this movie, I didn't like it. I was bored, and I think I rated it six out of ten. But I was younger, with less film experience and much less patience. Therefore I decided to give it another chance.
Nominated for four Oscars, Alfred Hitchcock's horror thriller "Psycho" is considered one of the best films of all time and one of the most influential films in the genre. The oldest R-rated movie can also be found on the lists of the most controversial films because, in its time, it was something new and shocking. Frankly, I was a little bored. Although technically well-made, with great camera, music, and performances by Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh, the story and overall atmosphere made no special impression on me. The introductory part, until Marion arrives at the motel, was needlessly dragged on for half an hour and, after hundreds of watched thrillers and horrors, neither did the rest of it particularly hold my attention. With all due respect for the status of this film, its impact on the history of cinema, the cult scene in the shower and one of the most legendary twists of all time, my subjective impression does not allow me to rate it higher than

I understood sarcasm and the message this movie brings, but the idea doesn't make a good movie. This was one of the most boring movies I have ever seen, and I've seen thousands. In what universe this may pass as a comedy?! Besides a few mediocre jokes, most of it wasn't funny at all. I barely endured to the end and I wouldn't watch it again even if my life depended on it. For entertainment qualities I would rate it zero out of ten, but because the essential idea is good I'll compromise with

I realize that storytelling is not what this movie intended to do, not even characterization, but simply attempt to represent one dark period of our past. And it does it really well. But that does not change the fact that this movie is boring to death. I may be stupid, but for me, this is just one more in the long line of completely redundant accomplishments in YU/Serbian cinematography. Recommendation to those who suffer from insomnia.

The cult movie, picked up some rewards, considered to be one of the most controversial movies of all times, blah-blah... If you didn't see it already my advice is to skip it. But if you did, I would appreciate hearing your impressions, just to see if I'm stupid or this movie really is a bullshit.
5/10 (and even that much only because of Ann-Margret) - DirectorPeter BogdanovichStarsTimothy BottomsJeff BridgesCybill ShepherdIn 1951, a group of high schoolers come of age in a bleak, isolated, atrophied North Texas town that is slowly dying, both culturally and economically.Cybill Shepherd (naked) debut
At the beginning of the fifties, a group of teenagers, in a small dreary dying town in Texas, graduates from high school and is forced to face a gloomy reality. The film does not have any particular plot, but rather tries to present the grayness of everyday life of people in a hopeless environment. This atmosphere is largely contributed by the black and white technique and the absence of a music background. Music in the film only occurs when the characters listen to it on the radio, jukebox and the like. In the seventies, it caused controversy because of, for its time, explicit nudity and teenage sex as one of the main motives, but the movie is so depressing that even a sex desire is cut off at the root.
The film won two Oscars, out of eight nominations, as well as many other awards, and is considered one of the best American achievements of the seventies, but, although intellectually I realize its greatness, it did not leave a particularly strong impression on me. Although I had already seen it a few years ago, I had the impression that I was watching it for the first time, and I believe that in a few more years I would not remember anything again.

But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and would blow your head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?
A cult action thriller starring Clint Eastwood, a film that, along with Leone's trilogy, is probably the most responsible for Eastwood's fame, and from which some of the most iconic replicas in film history have originated ... bored me to death and I barely made it to the end. With all due respect for its status and objective qualities, I can't rate it above
5/10 - DirectorFrancis Ford CoppolaStarsMarlon BrandoAl PacinoJames CaanThe aging patriarch of an organized crime dynasty transfers control of his clandestine empire to his reluctant son.It is great, but hardly the best

8/10 - DirectorWilliam FriedkinStarsEllen BurstynMax von SydowLinda BlairWhen a young girl is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother seeks the help of two Catholic priests to save her life."What an excellent day for an exorcism"
"When a teenage girl is possessed by a mysterious entity, her mother seeks the help of two priests to save her daughter." This movie has very high ratings on film sites, it was nominated for ten Academy Awards and won two (for adapted screenplay and sound), and it enjoys a status of one of the best movies in the genre. With due respect for its cult status and people who love it, in my opinion, it is silly to classify this movie as a horror at all, moreover as one of the best ones. Personally, I prefer Leslie Nielsen's parody.

1975. must have been a really lousy year for Hollywood. I mean, what kind of crap was filmed that year if this one was nominated for Oscar?! OK, the movie isn't bad, but it's nothing special and definitely not Academy Award material. I had no trouble watching it till the end, it's not that awful, but at any moment I could easily stop it and walk away never wondering how it ends...
I wouldn't give it even 6/10 if it were not for scenes eye to eye with a shark. If those were even a bit worse done I would definitely give up the movie before it ended.
6/10 - DirectorWoody AllenStarsWoody AllenDiane KeatonTony RobertsAlvy Singer, a divorced Jewish comedian, reflects on his relationship with ex-lover Annie Hall, an aspiring nightclub singer, which ended abruptly just like his previous marriages."After that, it got pretty late and we both had to go, but it was great seeing Annie again. And I thought of that old joke: this guy goes to a psychiatrist and says, 'Doc, my brother's crazy; he thinks he's a chicken.' And the doctor says, 'Well, why don't you turn him in?' The guy says, 'I would, but I need the eggs.' Well, I guess that's pretty much now how I feel about relationships: they're totally irrational, and crazy, and absurd, and... but, I guess, we keep goin' through it because most of us... need the eggs."

Excellent movie, in a way top-quality sociology textbook is excellent. Acting 10/10, directing 10/10, all technical aspects are top quality, dialogues, monologues, layering of the story and depth of the message this movie brings... and at the same time, it is painfully boring to watch that I fell asleep five or six times and then I was snapping out and rewinding and watching further, and the only thing that forced me to endure till the end is its reputation of one of the greatest movies of all time. The film may be excellent in many aspects but it failed in one very important thing - to hold viewers’ attention for over three hours. If it was a bit shorter or if it was made as a mini-series for example, maybe I would enjoy it more, but this way I give it 10/10 for quality and 2/10 for interestingness. So...

In my opinion, this movie is way overrated, as well as most of the Monty Python's "masterpieces". I rated it seven out of ten, meaning it is slightly above average. But the song from the film is the truest song ever recorded. It may sound like a cliché, but I want this song at my funeral, because it has the incredible ability to brighten even the darkest moments. I consider this song the most valuable legacy of Monty Python.

It is considered to be one of the best horrors of the '80s and maybe even one of the best horrors overall?! If that's true I do not want to see the rest of them. I cannot say it is complete crap, but it definitely is waste of time. Extremely overrated nonsense with no purpose. The basic idea is good, but it's not developed nearly enough. Characters are two-dimensional and stereotypical. The movie has no depth, does not provoke thoughts, cannot be more linear than it is, does not arouse any emotions, there's no tension, and finally, it is not even scary at all. There are movies that are very stupid, but make you crap your pants in fear. Stupid but with purpose. This one is not even that. It is as if people who were accustomed to make only low-class action movies their whole lives suddenly decided to shoot the horror. Linear, shallow and boring.

This show was canceled after just six episodes and, I must say, it's justified. Although "Naked Gun" franchise that I love is based on this show, this was pretty much boring to me. If I saw it as a kid back in 80's I would probably be thrilled, but I do not see how anyone passed elementary school could like this. I cannot say it's crap, but it is overrated and I think the main reason for its cult status is the very fact it was canceled so soon. People have strange habit to oppose and many shows grew instant popularity as soon as they were canceled. In some cases, like with Firefly, it's justified, but in this case, the only credit this show deserves is for spawning "Naked Gun" franchise.

- DirectorMichael CiminoStarsMickey RourkeJohn LoneArianeA police detective cracks down on organized crime in Chinatown after the murders of Triad and Mafia leaders."Well, I guess if you fight a war long enough, you end up marrying the enemy"
Saying that this movie makes the "Cimino trilogy" together with "The Deer Hunter" and "Heaven's Gate" is ridiculous. This movie is not even close to "Heaven's Gate" and comparing it to "The Deer Hunter" is total blasphemy. Cimino had a touch of God when he made "The Deer Hunter". Nothing else he did can come close to that.
Average crusader cop movie, worth watching if you don't expect more than some action fun to kill a few hours.
For those who watched it or will do, censorship forced them to replace the very last line of Mickey Rourke: "Well, I guess if you fight a war long enough, you end up marrying the enemy", with: "You were right and I was wrong. Sorry, I'd like to be a nice guy. I would, but I just don't know how to be nice."

Stretched, boring, without charm at all... and on top of that, we get to listen to irritating Kyle MacLachlan for two hours repeating "You're beautiful" to unappealing, somewhat horsy Laura Dern.
"Isabella Rossellini is degraded, slapped around, humiliated and undressed in front of the camera. And when you ask an actress to endure those experiences, you should keep your side of the bargain by putting her in an important film" - Roger Ebert
I absolutely agree with this statement and, as this is a lousy movie, Isabella should have refused that humiliation and sued them for even offering her to embarrass herself in this crap.
Or, at least, that's my opinion.

I wanted to see this since it was in the theaters 20 years ago, but somehow it never came to the table. I missed it in theaters, then I did not have VCR, then VHS became obsolete but I did not have internet till 2010... and so on till today. I was really dead set: a darkened room, good sound, snacks, all in order and... complete disappointment. Don't get me wrong, this movie is far from bad: excellent cast, interesting premise, and the baton in the hands of Terry Gilliam... But precisely because of the great names, the incredible hype in the nineties, and probably because of 20 years of waiting to finally see it, my expectations were very high and the film did not nearly satisfy them.
6/10 - DirectorBrian De PalmaStarsTom CruiseJon VoightEmmanuelle BéartAn American agent, under false suspicion of disloyalty, must discover and expose the real spy without the help of his organization.007 Wannabe...
It is quite probable that my objectivity is not on the level as I do not like either De Palma or Cruise. In my opinion, this is typical Hollywood crap, Tom Cruise trying to live his boyhood dream of being new 007. Unsuccessfully... The plot is kind of mannered and all twists and turns are predictable so the story wasn't interesting to me and there is no trace of tension or surprise factor. Music pretty much irritating, directing does not stand out, and acting... I don't know, maybe it is aversion towards Cruise talking, but I am incapable to see any of his characters. In his every movie I always see just same old featureless vacuous Tom Cruise. He had few decent movies back in "Top Gun" time, but ever since... The only movie he did good (but still not great) job was "Interview With a Vampire". And the only De Palma's movie I really appreciate is "Carlito's Way". All in all, I wouldn't recommend this even to action fans, because even within the action genre it is not above average.

I tried to watch this movie several times since it was released and I had to give up on it every time till now. It took me almost 20 years to force myself to see it trough. I love both Depp and Benicio, and I saw almost every movie each of them made, but this one I simply hate. This is one of the most boring pieces of crap I have ever seen in my life. If there was anyone else in leading roles but these two I would rate it 0/10, but because of these two geniuses I have to rate it

Technically, it's done almost perfect, but in all other aspects... It is too long, pretentious, conceited (I'm not sure if it's the right word), morbid, stereotypical, in one word - yuck! After this, I think Gibson is a sick man, because a mentally healthy person could not design such a thing. If it was meant to be a horror or some sick drama like "Serbian Film" and such, I could understand, but it is not. Even "Serbian Film" that is unbelievably disgusting has its qualities and reasons to be disgusting, while this crap simply has no excuse.

Machines have subdued people and now use them as bio-batteries, packed in containers on huge energy farms and connected to Matrix, software that keeps human minds in a false reality in which everything is as it used to be. Relatively small resistance, in constant flight from hunter machines, at will enters and leaves Matrix, looking for a chosen one who, once freed from illusion, will take over the leadership over free men and defeat the machines.
I finally decided to give a chance to famous The Matrix Trilogy. Not all at once of course, I'm not a masochist. Even two hours straight of Keanu Reeves is at the edge of too much. First one is not nearly as good as it's popular, but I must admit that it is good.

When I first saw "Requiem for a Dream" I watched it with a company, so I've probably seen it in its entirety, but, since I was extremely bored, ask God where my thoughts were. A couple of years later I reprised it and it was so boring that I gave up before the end. When one of the movie groups on Facebook became like second home to me, I noticed that this film is quite popular among its members and that many even rank it among the favorite films, so I decided to give it one more chance. It bored me to the extent that I was not able to analyze it, and I only assessed my subjective impression by rating it three out of ten. This caused general bashing after yours truly. For this reason, for the first time in my life, I did not just reprise, but for the fourth time I watched a film that I did not like. This time I was mentally prepared to be fully focused from start to finish and be as objective as possible.
I must admit that the movie is visually really masterfully filmed. It contains a lot of unforgettable scenes that are, each for itself, striking artwork of photography. The camera work, the use of colors, editing and music perfectly conjures up the psychic and emotional states of the characters and effectively insert the viewer into it. The acting is flawless, and particularly strong impression leaves Ellen Burstyn, who deservedly picked up a bunch of awards and nominations. Still, despite all this, I simply do not like "Requiem". I don't enjoy it, it's boring to me, and despite all efforts, I just couldn't force myself to watch it whole at once. I have often paused, checking how much is left to the end, and dragged it through the entire day. Although I can not disprove its artistic value or essential power, I simply can not stand this film and I'm through with it once and for all.

It says "horror, mystery, drama", but it would be an insult for horror and mystery genres. Drama... yes, it is, and an extremely sick one too. Subjective impression - movie crew should be hospitalized in a mental institution (starting with the writer and director) together with those who honestly and deeply enjoyed watching it. It would be 1/10, but the leading actress is good and the end has a trace of sense and brains.

Even before this film, I knew that Lars von Trier is a weirdo, and yet I was surprised how far he is willing to go in combining sick and boring. Quality acting and directing are worthless when the movie is just plain self-indulgence of a pretentious narcissus. It was a gruesome effort to watch this insane and insulting idiocy to the end, and, after I already spent two hours on it, I refuse to spend two more on bashing it. Especially when someone has already done it in a very impressive way. Just read the review of Luket or some of the others who rated it one or two out of ten.
2/10
"It is with some regret that I have decided to spend time reviewing Von Trier's 'Antichrist'. I am, by nature a curious film watcher, and will, at times, succumb to temptation and reserve a couple of hours to cast my own opinion, when a film creates ample controversy. Thus far my curiosity, across the spectrum has been met with, elation and disappointment in equal measure.
This is, and I make no apologies for this statement, a truly terrible film. I was hoping to read the user comments and be satisfied that it was met with the utter indifference and loathing that followed my own viewing and was genuinely shocked with the ridiculous ratings that have been pulled from the posteriors of those who mistakenly interpreted this dull and pointless movie as high art.
Given that the acting was by no means sub-par (Dafoe was very good as a husband/psychiatrist torn between his professional disposition and the demons of his relationship with his wife; and Gainsbourg was nothing if not committed to the role of a postnatally depressed lunatic) and the cinematography was at times excellent, it should give you some idea of how bad this movie was.
One review entitled 'Canonical Sermon, Classical Hero Journey, Numeric Elegance and Name of The Beast' offered an academic dissection of the movie...referencing the film's numerical balance and some other contextual information that completely fails to justify the relevance and poor execution of this movie, which in principle, before pen hit paper, may have carried some merit and proved to be a dark and disturbing study of the human/inhuman condition.
So, let me 'break it down' without offering insight where there is none or jumping on board the 'Turner Prize' high-art mindset that has corrupted modern art finding thought and intellect in the explicit and mundane.
Firstly: This is NOT a balanced movie, no matter how Von Trier cuts the film into chapters. A nice prologue, followed by over an hour of self-absorbed boring nothingness (aside from the revelation of child cruelty), climaxing in a violent last 10 minutes that arrived way too late for me to care about the resolution. Simply put, it is quite an achievement to bore someone to the point that genital mutilation, the ejaculation of blood the image of a wife fingering a freshly drilled hole in her husband's leg does not leave them shocked or a little sick; and yet I was so paralyzed by boredom that I was rendered immune to the horrors depicted on the television in front of me.
It is all very well dissecting this movie for its symbolism and I am sure that for an academic essay it provides the necessary 'meat' for some critical analysis, but seriously, why to bother when as a film, as a piece of entertainment, this movie fails at its most basic level.
I have watched interviews with the cast, who really don't seem to understand the movie and listened to drivel about how this was a product of Lars' depression. The reality is that 'controversy' is the most marketable aspect of the film and one has to question the misogynistic stance/intentions of the movie. I am not a fan of feminism as it has moved beyond equality but it certainly wouldn't be too late to question Von Trier's relationship to the fairer sex, both in the context of this movie and his work as a whole.
Imbalanced and a cry for attention; a cheap snub of mainstream Hollywood that craves the attention Von Trier claims to shun; or a failed art-house movie that owes its substance and form to antiquated intellectual study that it fails to properly address and far superior 'cabin in the woods' movies that it does not get close to matching... Take your pick of which best describes this terrible film.
If you want cabin horror, watch 'Evil Dead'. if you like dark and harrowing try 'requiem for a dream'. There has been some talk as to the meaning of 'Antichrist' in the context of this movie. I can say with some certainty that it refers to the pure evil that stole 2 hours of my life last week. Damn you, Lars Von Trier, you are an idiot." - luket - DirectorJohn HillcoatStarsViggo MortensenCharlize TheronKodi Smit-McPheeIn a dangerous post-apocalyptic world, an ailing father defends his son as they slowly travel to the sea.Excellent choice... to avoid. Jennifer Lawrence is a really good actress who unfortunately acts mostly in lousy movies. Beside "Poker House" and "Silver Linings" that are great, all the other movies I saw so far were really lousy: "X-Men", "Joy", "The Hunger Games", "Winter's Bone"... This one didn't move me at all, except for moving my jaw while yawning. Perhaps the story itself is touching, but the film does not transfer those emotions, it's just boring.

Great idea but a weak realization. The story has strength and depth and, if it was made by the book, the book probably kicks ass, but the movie left me indifferent. I cannot say what is the issue, if it is acting or directing or music or what... but until just a few minutes before the end I had absolutely no emotions towards what I was watching and I was bored. For the idea and the very end of the movie... 9/10, but the overall impression is about 5/10.
!!! SPOILER ALERT !!!
Christian girl gets involved with a Muslim refugee and gets pregnant. Christian police kill the Muslim and her child is taken away at birth and sent to an orphanage. Many years later she gets revenge for the tragedy of her youth by killing the leader of Christian police. She ends up in prison where she is raped by the cruelest guard. She gets pregnant again and gives birth to twins. After she is released from prison, she takes her children to Canada.
After she died her testament sends her children in a quest to find their father and brother and deliver letters from her. The daughter goes to search for the father and the son searches for the brother and they both find the same person.
The orphanage was destroyed in the war and the child was adopted by attackers and trained to be a killing machine. He ends up as a prison guard where he rapes a female prisoner, not knowing it was his mother.
Twins first get to know that their father is not killed in the war, as they were told. They find out that they are a result of their mother being raped in prison while she was serving sentence for murder. Then as icing on the cake, they find out that she was raped by the long lost son. So, in adult age, you find out that your whole life was a lie. Your mother is a murderer, you are a rape child, the rapist is your older brother, and you are just a side effect of sadistic, incestuous rape, and now you are expected to continue with your life as a mentally stable person... yea, right, like it is possible...
So, I would like to improve this already sick movie by adding some epilogue to it:
a) Father/brother receives both letters and, when his brain finally realizes shocking truth, he drops letters on the floor and jumps through the window (shoot himself in the head), while twins end up in a closed section of a sanitarium.
or, for those who root for a happy ending...
b) Twins cry in embranchment, which ends up "horizontally", and father/brother accepts his newfound family and joyfully awaits the birth of his grandchild/nephew and they lived happily ever after.
P.S. Yup, I know, I'm sick.

This is a "documentary" about the vampire community in Wellington. Three vampires live together in a modern world and struggle with everyday life issues. Although I didn't particularly like it, it has its moments and occasionally could be quite funny. I warmly recommend it to fans of sleazy vampire stories, like "Twilight", "Vampire Diarrhea" and similar artistic achievements, because I believe that, if they really existed, this would be a much more realistic representation of vampires.

Warning: Spoilers
I've heard so much glorification of this movie, that I was eager to watch it as soon as possible and enjoy its magnificence, but then... disappointment on many levels. To be clear, this movie is not crap, but it's just slightly different from high budget South-American soap opera with Hollywood production.
Acting is satisfying, scenery and landscapes are sometimes breathtaking and production is on the level. That would be all I can commend.
Story... This movie doesn't have "o" of originality and it is predictable from the opening scene to ending credits. There's no single surprise or twist. Everything in it has been already seen and thoroughly verified Hollywood clichés are carefully wrapped in decorative paper.
Will is a successful businessman from a wealthy family who ends up in a wheelchair after a traffic accident. On that fateful day, he would go to work on a motorbike, but his wealthy and beautiful blonde stops him. The same second he gave up on his motorbike I was sure what will happen next. While he was crossing the street on his foot he was hit by, you won't believe this, motorbike. Of course, in this type of story, the one in a wheelchair is usually male and rich and he hires someone poor to care for him. In the beginning, he is cold and grumpy, but in time he starts to show his warmer side. Am I the only one who saw "The Intouchables" ?! Slight touch of "Beauty and the Beast" maybe ?! Though here we have a poor girl that gave up on higher education to take care of her family, instead of a black petty criminal. She irresistibly reminds me of "Ugly Betty"...
Will's relationship with his blonde falls apart after the accident and she marries his best friend. His new caretaker is seven years in a relationship with egocentric sportsman until time with Will opens her eyes and she realizes she is not happy, so she falls in love with Will. The author is trying to catch us on cheap pathetic...
Characterization is lousy. We see two-dimensional characters who are not well developed, not even close. How did Will win her love ?! What is that she falls for ?! Fact that he is good looking and rich ?! I doubt the author had the intention to send that message, but except for his looks and money, we see no other positive sides of Will. She gets money from his parents and organizes luxury dates and travels in an attempt to awake desire to live in Will... or maybe she provides herself a chance to experience things she could only dream about before she got access to his money... I understand what the author wanted to present, but also I cannot stop myself from seeing what's obvious. I did not make up any of this. I just point out the obvious.
They go out, they travel exotic destinations, they fall in love. Will has a good time with his new girl, she loves him unconditionally, he is offered to get back to his job, his family provides full support, and he is rich. But that's not worth living and he decides he should kill himself. Yes, he planned this way before he met her, but not even love of his life can change his decision. What message does it send to us ?!
That people with disabilities are useless, a dead burden to their surroundings, that they have nothing to give, professionally or emotionally, that good job, supporting family and true love are not worth living for ?! Somehow Stephen Hawking pops up in my mind...
Sure, no one can stop you from killing yourself, but having a health institution to help you ?! If you are in continuous unbearable pain and your life comes down just to pure survival in endless agony... then maybe.
But let's ignore moral dilemmas and stay in limits of this movie. If you already decided to kill yourself and nothing, not even true love, can make you change your mind, why the hell did you mislead innocent girl, give her false hope and broke her long term relationship, just to make her sucker at the end and leave her emotionally destroyed... That seems selfish and cruel to me.
At the wedding, on the dance floor, he openly admitted that before his accident he would never notice a girl like her, let alone fell in love with her. And after the accident, his life is so worthless that even their true love is not worth living. Somewhere I saw that perfectly put in one sentence. "I cannot live and love you because I refuse to live and love as any other man than the man I was; however, if I were the man I was, I would not have loved you." But she does not mind.
And so on, they fall in love, the time has come to go, she gives up her believing and needs and escorts him on the last voyage. The movie ends with an epilogue. He is dead and he left her with a fat bank account (and she did not even have to get married) and a letter that sends her to Paris, his favorite place on Earth, with detailed instructions where to go and what to look for. "P.S. I Love You"... anyone ?!
Don't get me wrong, the movie is more than watchable. After reading my review you would probably think that 6/10 is too high. But if you avoid analyzing, just grab your popcorn and sit comfortably on your sofa to watch the screen with half a brain, you will enjoy two hours of stereotyped Hollywood romantic drama, and maybe it will even make you laugh or cry once or twice...

I don't understand how this movie became so popular. Is it good? Yes, it is. But it's not an Oscar material. A classic western story put in the 21st century. Already seen many times, just in different scenery. It is even boring at first half. I was close to giving up on it after 45 minutes, but then I realized it is too late in the evening to start some other movie, so I finished it. And I'm not sorry that I did. But I would not watch it again for sure. I'll try to list what I think is really good about this movie. Jeff Bridges nailed his role. It is the only deserved Oscar nomination for this movie. I especially loved his "racist" jokes about Indians and Mexicans, and perfect timing for them. Jokes are good themselves, but in Jeff's interpretation, they are awesome. Further, the soundtrack is excellent. And finally, Ben Foster had a few really memorable scenes. First, when he leaves the car and goes towards persecutors, like Rambo, shooting bursts of machine gun fire. Second, the moment when he says: "Lord of the plains... that's me." and then takes a bullet in the head. Everything else is mediocre and mostly already seen.

Based on the plot and knowledge of Po's style, I suppose the original story is great, but the movie fails to show it strong enough. I can not point my finger at anything and say this is a bad movie, but to me, it was unconvincing, unexciting and boring. I was thinking of giving up on it throughout the whole thing. The ending is slightly stronger, but predictable. I feel like rating it 3/10, but to be unbiased, it is not that bad. It's just lower average.

"Wuthering Heights" is considered to be one of the best movies of all times. Technically speaking this movie is great and it definitely deserves Best Black-and-White Cinematography Oscar and all nominations for actors. Merle Oberon is fascinating. Still, I barely forced myself to the end. Not because it's boring, but because the story is atrocious. I suppose this should be a romantic drama about tragic love, but for me, tragic love is when two people who are meant for each other can not be together because of unhappy circumstances or other people's bad intentions, not because they are complete idiots. This is a morbid and sleazy story about a group of sick and sadomasochistic people, with the accent on two repulsive, selfish persons who, by their selfishness, stupidity and immaturity, destroy lives not only for themselves, but to everyone else around them, and pretty much intentionally. And after all the crap they put us through, I should feel sad for them?! The last scene should be romantic happy-sad- end?! Ew! If this movie really is faithful to the book, I can not describe how happy I am that I never read it. Two hours spent on this movie do not hurt too much, but I could not forgive myself the time spent on the book.

I get the idea behind this movie and I must acknowledge few really ingenious dialogues and monologues, but overall, the movie is almost completely unwatchable. It is satire so technically speaking it is a comedy, but it is not funny or entertaining at all. It's just plain boring. It is obvious that movie is done by someone very smart who has many things to say, but who is at the same time so self-involved in own smartness that he made this movie understandable only to himself. The movie is unwatchable, both in the story and in an aspect of technical realization. It is extremely rare, but it happened - I gave up on this movie before the end. I did it just a few times in my life, gave up on single digit number of movies out of thousands I saw so far. But I could not force myself to see this through. This is one of those things that remind me that life is too short to waste it on literally every crap I run into. I'm sorry to do this because I can tell that basic idea was awesome in authors had, but he terribly failed to make something good out of it. So I must rate it

This time it is not remake of some of its predecessors, nor the original story inspired by Dracula. This one is direct, although not literal, adaptation of cult classic by Bram Stoker. Authors gave their best to turn this cult novel into unexciting, even boring, movie. I'm confused by the choice of actresses. If they couldn't find three girls that will be convincing in their roles, they could at least find three with breathtaking looks. Those they took are neither. First one is ugly and other two, although much better looking, are very unconvincing. Even legendary Christopher Lee is totally lame in role of Dracula, especially compared to Bela Lugosi. This is probably the worst Dracula movie ever to date. I'm watching them chronologically, so I can not speak about those which came after just yet. The only good things about this movie are Peter Cushing and scene of Dracula's death, which is fascinating for its time.

I expected it not to be as good as it was popular, but I really didn't expect complete crap. Out of attributes mentioned above it is only offensive. Don't get me wrong, I'm not at all against offensiveness. Quite opposite, I'm against today's aggressive political correctness and offensiveness is one of my favorite techniques in achieving humor. Observed as book adaptation, this movie is complete failure. Never in my life I saw anything that mutilates original material to these proportions. Believe it or not, even Russian Lolita is more faithful to the book than this blasphemy. Explanation why and how this movie insults The Dark Tower saga would become saga itself, and I really have no time and nerves to spend hours in review of something I'm sick of. As adaptation of the book this movie is 0/10. Now, if I try to observe it unrelated to the book, I must admit it is not complete disaster, but it's still lousy. If you did not read the book, movie will be too fast and confusing. Story can not be understood correctly without pre-knowledge from the book, and yet, if you have that pre-knowledge you will understand better and hate it better. Observed independently from the book this movie is below average fantasy action, and I would rate it 4, maybe 5 out of ten. It started lousy but I didn't quit because it's Almodovar and I was quite sure it will soon get better. So I waited and waited and waited and finally I realized I'm waiting for longer than hour. I can not say it's bad cinematography or lousy acting. Of course it isn't. I mean, it still is Almodovar. But it remains mystery to me how he accomplished to turn such controversial topic into movie this boring and futile. I already rated it 3 or 4 in my mind, but decided to finish it when I already came that far. I have to admit that ending twist was pleasant surprise and I as even touched a bit. Also I realized that ending wouldn't be nowhere close to its strength and meaning if there wasn't for that boring part. But also without those last ten or so minutes, everything that preceded them would be an unwatchable crap, and that's something to which I really can't turn a blind eye. In some cases finale is so great that it makes everything before it less important, but this ending was nowhere close to that level. Ending is for maybe seven or so, but because of agony you have to go through to get to it I can not rate this movie above barely average level. Recommended for devoted Almodovar fans only. Veteran actor Sam Jaffe, who's born in 19th century and started his career in 1916, is particularly prominent in role of criminal mastermind, for which he was Oscar nominated. Movie is well designed and realized, everything is in place and everything works properly, but personally I can not see what's so special about it to be considered one of the best movies of all time. I never heard of this director before, but cast is really great. In leading roles we have Naomi Watts and Edward Norton and they are the main reason I saw this movie in a first place. The most prominent side roles belong to Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), Toby Jones (Dr. Jenkins in Wayward Pines, Dobby in Harry Potter) i Diana Rigg (Olenna Tyrell in GOT). 3/10 - DirectorEdgar WrightStarsSimon PeggNick FrostKate AshfieldThe uneventful, aimless lives of a London electronics salesman and his layabout roommate are disrupted by the zombie apocalypse.I'm reading reviews and trying to find golden middle with no success. Audience considers this movie either the best or the worst British movie of the year. British have an unusual and for the rest of us often incomprehensible sense of humor. If you're used to Hollywood this probably won't entertain you. I suppose that most of the lowest ratings came from USA. At the other hand, I think this movie is overrated and that most of the tens, that pulled it to an average of eight, came largely from Britain. From my point of view, this is solid movie for one watching. I wouldn't call it a comedy. It is horror adventure sprinkled with lots of humor, British humor that tries not to be too British, but to adapt to the wider audience. And in that attempt lies it's biggest issue. Also, it is very difficult to mix genres, especially if there's too many. Although this movie somewhat succeeds in that attempt it didn't quite shine. Still, we have to acknowledge this brave attempt to make something unusual. All together, if you're not a fan of recent British film don't even give it a try, but if you are able to slip into British state of mind I think you'll enjoy this flick. I surely did.
7/10 - DirectorEdgar WrightStarsAnsel ElgortJon BernthalJon HammAfter being coerced into working for a crime boss, a young getaway driver finds himself taking part in a heist doomed to fail."Easter Eggs" feast
I usually avoid trailers, spoilers, reviews and any stories about movies I have not seen, and when I finally sit down to watch a movie, I do not know almost anything about them. But there was so much hype about this one that even I, who live under the stone, did not manage to avoid being dragged into it. Whether the movie is overrated or the hype has raised my expectations to an unrealistically high level, I'm not sure, but it didn't leave any particular impression on me. So far I saw "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" which I liked, but saw it so long ago that I shouldn't rate it from this perspective, and "Shaun of the Dead" whom I gave seven a few days ago. As "Shaun of the Dead" is fresh in my memory, I immediately recognized the same director in "Baby Driver" (until that moment I did not know the director for either of these two films).
Wright is great screenwriter and director, but in "Baby Driver" he really made a step forward. I can't remember when I watched such a masterfully directed action. Gunshots and movements of characters in the film are in line with the rhythm of the music that is heard at the moment. And when you take into account that all the driving in the movie was shot without CGI even ten out of ten is not enough. I am also amazed by Wright's sense for details and quantity of "Easter eggs" hidden in this film. When Baby is flipping through the channels on TV, several lines of dialogue from different movies can be heard. Each one of these lines appears later in the film as a line of dialogue. In the first scene, when Baby goes for a coffee and listens to "Harlem Shuffle", he passes by the graffiti, signs, and posters that show the text of this song. In this scene, you can also see the reflection of Wright in the shop window. It's shot by accident but left in the movie on purpose. It instantly reminded me of Hitchcock. There are several references to "Back to the Future" too. One of the cars in the movie has a license plate that represents the date when Wright's previous film came out. Singer whose song is played during the first robbery plays guard. While listening to "Radar Love" song, Baby drives a car painted in "Radar Purple". There are countless details like these and even if you watch the movie a dozen times you won't even catch a half.
Still, no matter how directing, soundtrack and sense of detail are perfect, in other aspects, this film is nothing special. Acting is good but, in my opinion, wasted on unoriginal characters. The story is mediocre and the atmosphere of the movie didn't move me. It was fun to watch but I forgot most of it very next day. I may watch it again, but only because I'm curious to try and find some more eggs that I missed the first time. Overall impression

I watched it because it's considered to be one of the best movies of its time and because it won five Academy Awards, out of which I can understand only Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role, won by Gloria Grahame. For everything else, nothing really special. Nice and relaxed melodrama, perfect for resting the brain on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

This is the first Kurosawa's movie I saw and probably next-to-last. I will see one more, because I can't write off the man based on one movie only, but if next one is like this one I'm giving up on Kurosawa. "Macbeth" is good story, you can easily get used to Japanese over-acting, but the way Kurosawa stretches out every scene to last forever is something I can't get used to. It is a fact that every cadre is work of art, but if I wanted to watch each cadre five minutes I would go to the photo exhibition, not the cinema. Two riders ride through mist in complete silence for full three minutes. No dialogue, no body language, just two silhouettes in the fog. And so every scene. The film could easily be cut in half without a scene being thrown out. The cultural differences of the East and the West are story for themselves in which objectivity does not play any role. Armored samurai, with the lower part of pajamas and ridiculous helmets, look like clowns rather than soldiers. And the music played during opening credits is terrible creaking that made my ears bleed. I read some texts about this film that helped me understand it better and to some extent I understand why it is considered a big movie, but even that did not make me like it. I can not say it's bad, cause it's not, but compared to first one... in fact, it can not be compared to first one at all. Same actors under baton of same director bring same characters twenty years later. They are good characters and the acting is great, but neither the story nor the direction are not even to the knee of the original. It's worth a look, but I will never repeat it, unlike the first one in which you can enjoy countless times.

I saw this movie over twenty years ago and now, because of the "Ash vs Evil Dead" series, I decided to see all three movies again, before I start the show. Classic B horror of the '80s. Fun enough but, to be honest, it's a pretty bad movie. I rate it five out of ten.

Maybe the story is meaningless and empty, and maybe I did not get it right. Either way, this movie doesn't inspire me at all to write about it.

For interested, here's review from the IMDb that I liked:
"Jim Jarmusch's follow-up to 1986's 'Down By Law' is an engrossing trio of stories revolving around one night in a run-down Memphis hotel. Continuing his tradition of casting musicians as actors, he enlists Joe Strummer as a British Elvis and the late Screamin' Jay Hawkins as the hotel night clerk. R&B great Rufus Thomas appears in the train station, and Tom Waits is the voice of the radio DJ. John Lurie provides the score, along with a fabulous soundtrack of classic Memphis music (from Elvis Presley to the Bar-Kays). The stories are intertwined, with certain events being shown from the perspective of each of the three sets of characters. The town has fallen a bit since its heyday as a musical hotbed, but the spirits of its past can be sensed in the delapidated buildings and landscapes, all lovingly embraced by Jarmusch's lens. All of the night shots were actually filmed at night, and some scenes are subtitled in Japanese and Italian. As is typical with Jarmusch's work, the action unfolds at a leisurely pace, and not without some humor. The film's juxtaposing of cultures is a popular theme with the director, and one he would use again in his next anthology piece, 'Night On Earth'." - Michael Sean - DirectorJohn McTiernanStarsBruce WillisAlan RickmanBonnie BedeliaA New York City police officer tries to save his estranged wife and several others taken hostage by terrorists during a Christmas party at the Nakatomi Plaza in Los Angeles. If this is their idea of Christmas, I gotta be here for New Year's
This is my five hundred and ninety-fifth review since I registered IMDb account about three years ago, but jubilee thousandth rated title. I planned it to be something real awesome, but then last night I found out that my girlfriend never saw "Die Hard" and that tragedy had to be corrected right away.
When it was released I was 9 years old and for years it was favorite movie to all boys in school. From today's perspective, although I fully understand why it was number one, I definitely have to overthrow it from the throne. I could write forever about this flick, but to cut long story short, in my opinion, what is really worth in this movie are incredibly charismatic Bruce Willis and Reginald VelJohnson and the last half an hour. Everything else is average, monotonous and even boring.
During the movie, my personal impression was around 6/10, but because of emotional attachment, cult status and influence, and especially because of its ending, which leaves really strong impression, I have to rate it higher. Also, I can't ignore four well deserved Oscar nominations, so my thousandth rating on this site will be

My dear was watching the whole series two times and was ready to watch it again just to hook me, but watching Bleach is an agony for me. The subjective impression after the first few episodes is about 3/10, but I am aware that this is unrealistic and more a consequence of my taste than the quality of the series. The series has good characterization and a very interesting story, and I'm really interested in how it evolves, but the animation is poor, and the directing is horrible. The fight scenes are virtually unwatchable. Instead of raising the level of adrenaline, I was struggling not to fall asleep. Watching TV should be a pleasure, not a maltreatment, and therefore I give up and leave it unrated. (Rating on IMDb is there just for series to appear in my list of watched titles.)

"Well, it seems that the director of this movie specifically made it with one noble thing in mind. And no, it was not to discuss the after-life, depression, loneliness, grief, etc.
It was made with the sole objective to show again to the audiences a topless Kristen Stewart!!! Which is OK per se (she is not that bad), but not enough to fill the interest of the audience for more than the time her exposed nipples are shown on the screen.
Other than that, the story is tedious, Kristen Stewart is irritating in her role (as usual, she cannot act!), characters are boring and dry, nothing scary happens, the alleged ghosts are juvenile and, of course, the film has no resolution at all (it is an artsy-fartsy film, right?). The director simply decides to leave everything hanging in the air like....the ghost of a bad idea!

Oh dear god! I can't believe how bad this was. Where shall I begin? I'll start with the atrocious dubbing if you don't mind. It's a joke. there's no emotion in the dubbing whatsoever. I had to laugh when Dracula says "I'm the happiest man in the world." In a tone more suited for a sentence like "I can't find my keys."
Also, Dracula speaks in this mind-numbing, monotonous voice for the whole movie! It's like listening to someone read mass.
What about the plot you may ask. There isn't one. Just a random series of events: shots of day becoming night, scenes of people walking down empty corridors for what seems an eternity. Absolutely horrendous! The only reason this movie was made was to show tits. I was screaming at the film to end after the 50 mins mark, it's just so goddamn, dull. After watching it through however I can safely say two things. 1)This is easily the worst movie ever made. 2) I'd like to have met Mr. Paul Naschy before he died. Jessica Tandy and Morgan Freeman are really fantastic together and I fully support their nominations, but I wonder what was the competition back in 1990 if this film won Oscar for the Best Picture. Some actresses are able to somewhat save some bad movies with their mesmerizing beauty, but this lesbian soft-porn, clumsily masked as horror about Dracula, is so bad that it couldn't be saved even by sex scene between Jessica Alba and Charlize Theron. I could get over the fact that vampires in the movie don't have any issues with daylight, but if somebody told me that a scene in which camera slides down the naked body of a beautiful woman could be boring I would think he's crazy. If you are a fan of horror, Dracula or good soft-porn, avoid this misery in a wide arc, but if you want to watch five minutes of to blur zoomed tongue and a nipple this is the right movie for you.

I'm aware that it's partly my fault, but anyway I think it's extremely overrated. Seen by itself, the film is completely meaningless, because this is not a stand-alone film, but the grand finale of all Marvel films that precede it. So, it's not just recommended that you have seen most of Marvel films before, but it's absolutely necessary that you have seen them all and that they are fresh in your memory. I watched most of Marvel films, but some of them I skipped, and many of those I did see I saw too long ago to remember them, so "Infinity War" left me with the impression of a bunch of amazingly shot, but empty action scenes, without the story that gives this action a meaning. It's like if you watched the last hour of "The Return of the King", without previously watching the rest of the trilogy or reading "The Lord of the Rings" ever before. Most movies have a part that introduces you to characters, then introduces them into a story, then develops and elaborates the story, and ultimately takes you through the blow-away finale. This whole movie is one huge finale, while all the other elements that you need to experience this finale right way need to be found in other Marvel films. Each of the previous films brings new characters, introduces you to them and connects them to the characters from the previous films, builds their mutual relationships and portrays small parts of the big picture, and then "Infinity War" puts all these characters together and, assuming you already know who they are, what their relationships are and what was happening in their individual stories, it immediately cast you right into two and a half hour of action madness, without any characterization and explanations, and with a minimum of the story that serves just to separate the action scenes. Marvel films are a literally series in which the episodes are somewhat independent, and this is the last episode, and do not even try to watch it if you didn't follow entire series. Although visually excellent, to me "Infinity War" was terribly confusing and even boring, and I will refrain from rating it until I see all the movies that precede him, and then repeat it with good background.

Then follows the film so boring that I barely made myself to see it through. The film itself is not so bad and, if I did not watch the first part, I would probably rate it five out of ten. But since I watched the first movie recently, and this one does not bring anything new, but merely continues pouring sand in the desert, I was terribly bored. Almost identical story with almost identical characters, only with the new cast. This looks more like a remake than a sequel, and making a remake a year after the original does not make much sense.

The first one is great, although more falls under the thriller genre, the second is an average vampire story, and the ghost story at the end is lousy. On average ... mediocre. The original title of the film is in Italian, director is also Italian, actors are Italian, French and English, it's written everywhere that the film is Italian, but either I'm crazy or this film was filmed in English and synchronized to Italian, which is so irritating that it can not be described in words. The Italian language does not fit the genre and synchronization makes it completely ridiculous and totally kills the tension of the original story. I saw a lot of mafia movies and they all are on the same mold. This one is no exception and to me, frankly, it was quite boring. Of course, it is possible that other films under this template are younger than "Goodfellas" and that, if I saw them chronologically, this one would be more interesting, and the others that copy it would be boring. But "The Godfather" was made almost twenty years before this film, so this theory does not hold water either. However, seven nominations and one won Oscar, baton in the hands of Martin Scorsese and the cast which is by no means inferior to that of "The Godfather" rise this achievement above a bunch of similar ones. But as I rated "The Godfather" an eight out of ten, I can not rate this one above

Have you ever wondered what the private parts of the terminators are hiding, and are these movie characters sexually functional? Even if this did not come to your mind while watching Schwarzenegger in the second and Kristanna Loken in the third film, the series "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles " very clearly insinuates this issue. The creators of the fourth film seem to have succumbed to a decades-long sexual frustration and decided to brutally rape the franchise. If you have not seen this garbage yet, I advise you to suppress curiosity in order to keep this cult franchise in a good memory.
Writers did not have any idea in which direction they will develop the story, and even who are the main protagonists. The movie is two hours of completely meaningless noisy action that does not lead anywhere. The characters are two-dimensional and totally uninteresting, acting mediocre, and even Christian Bale in the role of John Connor does not stand out from mediocrity. John Connor is practically supporting role and Bale's performance is characterless and bored, as if he was forced to play in the movie against his will. Arnold Schwarzenegger's cameo is a pretty insipid and redundant detail, and Helena Bonham Carter appears just briefly.
To avoid being hater who sees only negative things, I have to mention pretty good performance of Sam Worthington in leading role, and the scene in which Bale says legendary "I'll Be Back" and then we hear the song from the first movie "You Could Be Mine", although pathetic, is quite a successful trick to provoke nostalgia in the audience. Even I, who had fought the entire film with the urge to give up on it, for a moment succumbed to this emotional manipulation.

The story is lousy, but at least it's not boring, and even has a few hilarious moments. In comparison to "PTT" the acting is better, naked tits are also better, and there are more of them. Since "PTT" has already shown an explicit nudity, "The Bug Killer" has been forced to go one step further by increasing its presence on the screen and adding some really perverse moments that balance on the edge of the sick. I would recommend this to lovers of Yugoslavian cinematography only, and the rest of you better skip it.
