- DirectorNeeraj PandeyStarsAkshay KumarDanny DenzongpaRana DaggubatiAn elite counter-intelligence unit learns of a plot, masterminded by a maniacal madman. With the clock ticking, it's up to them to track the terrorists' international tentacles and prevent them from striking at the heart of India.Best movie in this genre. Good plot(s), action, nice transitions and excellent pace throughout. No random song interruptions.
- DirectorShivam NairStarsTaapsee PannuAkshay KumarManoj BajpayeeThis Spin-off from Baby (2015) provides the back-story of intelligence agent Shabana, and chronicles how she becomes a spy.Prequel of Baby (2015) - but much inferior because of slow first part with a bit more emotional drama instead of a focus on the main theme.
- DirectorKabir KhanStarsSaif Ali KhanKatrina KaifSabyasachi ChakrabartyA disgraced Indian soldier carries out a series of assassinations in the hope of restoring his honour.Could have been as good as Baby but for the ending. Good plot and nice pace in a story that takes shape across many different countries. Pakistan banned it but where else does terrorism originate if not in Pakistan?
- DirectorSiddharth AnandStarsHrithik RoshanKatrina KaifPawan MalhotraA young bank receptionist gets mixed up with Rajveer Nanda, a man who has a mysterious background.Uneven pace, Katrina's character is a drag on the pace of the movie.
- DirectorSriram RaghavanStarsKareena KapoorRavi KishanSaif Ali KhanA series of seemingly unconnected events across the world leads to Agent Vinod undertaking a globe-trotting mission to discover why his colleague was murdered.A movie that digresses from the story with songs etc. It is more of a "masala" movie that could have been great but ends up being OK.
- DirectorA.R. MurugadossStarsAkshay KumarSonakshi SinhaFreddy DaruwalaA military officer attempts to hunt down a terrorist, destroy a terrorist gang and deactivate the sleeper cells under its command.Usual action movie but with a drag in the form of Sonakshi's character. I think it was meant to be different but ended up being weird and out of place.
- DirectorRohit ShettyStarsAjay DevgnAbhishek BachchanBipasha BasuColonel Ranvir and ACP Jaideep joins forces to fight against Pakistani terrorists, who hijacks an Indian airplane and demands to free their militant leader in return.Army, police, stupid pol, lecturing by hero about statecraft - it has all you can expect out of a counter-terrorism movie. A bit over the top in many places but worth watching once.
- DirectorJohn Mathew MatthanStarsAamir KhanNaseeruddin ShahSonali BendreAfter his brother is killed and father severely injured by terrorists, a young med student quits his studies to join the Indian Police Service to wipe out the terrorists. From the last millennium. Usual bollywood drama - hero gets beaten/injured but won't deviate from his goal. Sonali Bendre is the pretty girl with not much scope while Naseeruddin dominates with his strong performance. Mukesh Rishi shines as well. OK suspense and pace.
- DirectorMani ShankarStarsMilind SomanDanny DenzongpaGulshan GroverIndian intelligence agents race against time to stop a renegade Pakistani terrorist from detonating a nuclear weapon in Delhi.Great thriller - story, characters, acting are in place. Cinematography and direction lack finesse so an otherwise compelling movie loses some shine. Still a must-watch if you like this genre.
- DirectorFeroz ChinoyStarsSanjeev KumarParveen BabiShatrughan SinhaJames and Ashwinikumar are secret agents from Ringania and India fighting to stop the villains hell bent on world domination.OK. This is NOT great but it is so cheesy and full of bollywoodisms that it is more humor than thriller. An attempt to copy James Bond movies with baddies intent on world domination but with so many Hindi movie traps that Broccoli couldn't ever have imagined. Two secret agents instead of one who first hate each other but then get together. Each paired with a typical ideal leading lady, more songs than you can tolerate in a thriller and even kidnapped maa. Throw in lots of farz, usual masal dialogs, shake well and serve with a side of songs and comedy. Just like in James Bond movies, the heroes seem past their prime and in need of better belts to stop their paunches from running ahead of them.
- DirectorNeeraj PandeyFeroz Khan BollybrothersStarsSidharth MalhotraManoj BajpayeeRakul Preet SinghAfter finding out about an illegal arms deal, a military intelligence officer goes rogue with highly sensitive data related to his organization, and his mentor, a colonel, races to hunt him down.Neeraj Pandey fails to strike! Baby to Naam Shabaana to Aiyaary is a downward trajectory. The story is a bit different and could have been interesting if not ruined by a couple of super sloppy scenes and generally more complication than necessary. Still worth watching. I enjoyed watching it - even if it was disappointing for a Neeraj Pandey movie.
- DirectorAbhinay DeoStarsJohn AbrahamSonakshi SinhaTahir Raj BhasinACP Yashvardhan teams up with RAW Agent KK to bring down the mole within RAW.John Abraham action movie - almost ruined by Sonakshi Sinha. The terrorist has a super-bizarre and non-credible motive which also reduces the impact very significantly. This is a "could have been". Great cinematography and action. John Abraham does a really good job of his action role. Sinha is often unbearable (unlike Tapsee P or Katrina K) and just overbearing.
- DirectorKabir KhanStarsSalman KhanKatrina KaifGirish KarnadIndia's top spy Tiger and his love Zoya battle the dark world of intelligence and espionage that forbids its soldiers from loving the enemy.Fast paced, well-developed characters, different story. What more can you ask for. And yes, a couple of nice songs too. Good entertainment.
- DirectorAli Abbas ZafarStarsSalman KhanKatrina KaifParesh RawalInspired by real events, Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to the blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger, and an espionage action drama that follows a daring rescue mission in Iraq.Ek Tha Tiger sequel. Pretty decent given that it is a sequel since most sequels are very bad. Just too much gore, infliction of pain on main characters and over-stretched story. So not as easy to watch as Ek Tha Tiger. But still worth watching once.
- DirectorSiddharth AnandStarsHrithik RoshanTiger ShroffVaani KapoorIndian agent Khalid goes on a mission to hunt and eliminate his former mentor, the country's top agent Kabir who has gone rogue. A deadly war begins.Less (but still decent) plot, more action. Hrithik is good; Tiger is just bearable. Entertaining if you either like action or even if you are just willing to look past it.

- DirectorIrfan KhanStarsSaayli BuvaNatalya GudkovaIqbal KhanIntelligence in India is seriously concerned over leaked reports of a massive terrorist attack on January 26th, Independence Day. They assign Agents Bobby and Arjun Singh to infiltrate the terrorists, known to be operating from Sofia, the Capital of Bulgaria. Bobby and Arjun accordingly accept this assignment, but Arjun quits when he finds out that Don Raja, a Bulgarian businessman, who had risen to power as a corrupt Nasik Police Inspector, may be the mastermind behind these terrorist attacks. After resigning, he decides to go after Don Raja on his own as he has a personal score to settle with him, with a bullet in his gun with Raja's name on it. But the wily Raja is way ahead of Arjun, he soon has him enmeshed in a web of lies and deceit, so much so that Arjun is unable to differentiate as to who is a terrorist, an Indian Agent, or an ordinary civilian, and soon Arjun is himself arrested by the Bulgarian police - as a terrorist suspect. It looks like Don Raja is going to have this way after all.
