- DirectorGeorge MillerStarsTom HardyCharlize TheronNicholas HoultIn a post-apocalyptic wasteland, a woman rebels against a tyrannical ruler in search for her homeland with the aid of a group of female prisoners, a psychotic worshiper and a drifter named Max.There are many things I want to say about this movie, but I'm too busy watching it over and over again.
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsSamuel L. JacksonKurt RussellJennifer Jason LeighIn the dead of a Wyoming winter, a bounty hunter and his prisoner find shelter in a cabin currently inhabited by a collection of nefarious characters.Great, long, suspenseful. Tarantino's latest was worth the hassle.
- DirectorRidley ScottStarsMatt DamonJessica ChastainKristen WiigAn astronaut becomes stranded on Mars after his team assume him dead, and must rely on his ingenuity to find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive and can survive until a potential rescue.A fun adventure movie, Matt gets himself stranded on Mars. Oh that Matt, always getting stranded on planets.
- DirectorF. Gary GrayStarsO'Shea Jackson Jr.Corey HawkinsJason MitchellThe rap group NWA emerges from the mean streets of Compton in Los Angeles, California, in the mid-1980s and revolutionizes Hip Hop culture with their music and tales about life in the hood. This should have been a TV show, needs to be watched on high volume. High and/or drunk if possible, with enough knowledge of the material so you can sing with the epic music. It's a really good movie, and one of my favorite movies about music.
- DirectorPete DocterRonnie Del CarmenStarsAmy PoehlerBill HaderLewis BlackAfter young Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco, her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness - conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school.best animated movie of the year
- DirectorPeyton ReedStarsPaul RuddMichael DouglasCorey StollArmed with a super-suit with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, cat burglar Scott Lang must embrace his inner hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, pull off a plan that will save the world.as a big Edgar Wright fan I think it's a shame he wasn't in the director's chair. The movie was a lot of fun, don't get me wrong. I just really want to see his version.
- DirectorChristopher McQuarrieStarsTom CruiseRebecca FergusonJeremy RennerEthan and his team take on their most impossible mission yet when they have to eradicate an international rogue organization as highly skilled as they are and committed to destroying the IMF.Fantastic action movie, best in the series. This movie is packed with epic scenes, seriously, go watch this movie.
- DirectorAlex GarlandStarsAlicia VikanderDomhnall GleesonOscar IsaacA young programmer is selected to participate in a ground-breaking experiment in synthetic intelligence by evaluating the human qualities of a highly advanced humanoid A.I.Artificial Intelligence can be scary, it's a shame this isn't a horror movie.
- DirectorJoss WhedonStarsRobert Downey Jr.Chris EvansMark RuffaloWhen Tony Stark and Bruce Banner try to jump-start a dormant peacekeeping program called Ultron, things go horribly wrong and it's up to Earth's mightiest heroes to stop the villainous Ultron from enacting his terrible plan. It's a decent enough movie, but it's way too wacky. Joss Whedon was allowed to put too many of his quirky stuff in here and it's holding the movie back.
- DirectorColin TrevorrowStarsChris PrattBryce Dallas HowardTy SimpkinsA new theme park, built on the original site of Jurassic Park, creates a genetically modified hybrid dinosaur, the Indominus Rex, which escapes containment and goes on a killing spree.Actually not half bad. A lot better than 2 and 3, but way too similar to the first one. The special effects weren't good. the original still looks more convincing. it's also a bit of a kids movie, a few drops of blood and almost no on-screen deaths except for a slightly disturbing one at the end.
- DirectorMatthew VaughnStarsColin FirthTaron EgertonSamuel L. JacksonA spy organisation recruits a promising street kid into the agency's training program, while a global threat emerges from a twisted tech genius.Manners. Maketh. Man. This movie has a lot of awesome characters and stellar camera work. The story and the acting is on par as well, although it could have been better. Sam Jackson was awesome and hilarious.
- DirectorDenis VilleneuveStarsEmily BluntJosh BrolinBenicio Del ToroAn idealistic FBI agent is enlisted by a government task force to aid in the escalating war against drugs at the border area between the U.S. and Mexico.
- DirectorAlejandro G. IñárrituStarsLeonardo DiCaprioTom HardyWill PoulterA frontiersman on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s fights for survival after being mauled by a bear and left for dead by members of his own hunting team.Won Leo an Oscar, I'm happy for him. He's been nominated for better films though.
- DirectorFrancis LawrenceStarsJennifer LawrenceJosh HutchersonLiam HemsworthKatniss and a team of rebels from District 13 prepare for the final battle that will decide the fate of Panem. It's a really good movie actually.
- DirectorSam MendesStarsDaniel CraigChristoph WaltzLéa SeydouxA cryptic message from James Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover the existence of a sinister organisation named SPECTRE. With a new threat dawning, Bond learns the terrible truth about the author of all his pain in his most recent missions.kind of a bad bond movie if you ask me
- DirectorSteve MartinoStarsNoah SchnappBill MelendezHadley Belle MillerSnoopy embarks upon his greatest mission as he and his team take to the skies to pursue their archnemesis, while his best pal Charlie Brown begins his own epic quest back home to win the love of his life.
- DirectorTadayoshi YamamuroStarsMasako NozawaRyô HorikawaHiromi TsuruFrieza is reborn and achieves the last of his transformations, and it is up to Goku and his warrior friends to join forces to fight the enemy who has returned from the dead.Ever wondered what DBZ would be like if it was fast paced and all the characters had something to do? well here it is. This stays quite serious and has a lot to show off, I think this is the best DBZ production ever.
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsTom HanksMark RylanceAlan AldaDuring the Cold War, an American lawyer is recruited to defend an arrested Soviet spy in court, and then help the CIA facilitate an exchange of the spy for the Soviet captured American U2 spy plane pilot, Francis Gary Powers.
- DirectorFrançois SimardAnouk WhissellYoann-Karl WhissellStarsMunro ChambersLaurence LeboeufMichael IronsideIn a post-apocalyptic wasteland in 1997, a comic book fan adopts the persona of his favourite hero to save his enthusiastic friend and fight a tyrannical overlord.About a kid and his crazy girlfriend in a Mad Max like setting. It's low budget and a bit cheezy, but I enjoyed it a lot. The film has some very awesome kills in it and they are very bloody.
- DirectorMark BurtonRichard StarzakStarsJustin FletcherJohn SparkesOmid DjaliliWhen Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with the Farmer, a caravan and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it's up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to the green grass of home.Very surprising, this movie was done very well.
- DirectorNeill BlomkampStarsSharlto CopleyDev PatelHugh JackmanIn the near future, crime is patrolled by a mechanized police force. When one police droid, Chappie, is stolen and given new programming, he becomes the first robot with the ability to think and feel for himself. This movie has a lot of heart and I actually like Die Antwoord
- DirectorBill CondonStarsIan McKellenLaura LinneyHiroyuki SanadaAn aged, retired Sherlock Holmes deals with dementia, as he tries to remember his final case, and a mysterious woman, whose memory haunts him. He also befriends a fan, the young son of his housekeeper, who wants him to work again.
- DirectorBrad BirdStarsGeorge ClooneyBritt RobertsonHugh LaurieBound by a shared destiny, a teen bursting with scientific curiosity and a former boy-genius inventor embark on a mission to unearth the secrets of a place somewhere in time and space that exists in their collective memory.Brad Bird made a very imaginative movie, it just didn't have an audience.
- DirectorJames WanStarsVin DieselPaul WalkerDwayne JohnsonDeckard Shaw seeks revenge against Dominic Toretto and his family for his comatose brother.Wasn't perfect but it's a great send off to Paul Walker. The building to building jumps were actually the most realistic stunt in the entire movie.
- DirectorSeth MacFarlaneStarsMark WahlbergSeth MacFarlaneAmanda SeyfriedNewlywed couple Ted and Tami-Lynn want to have a baby, but in order to qualify to be a parent, Ted will have to prove he's a person in a court of law.More of the same with a huge drop in quality
- DirectorPaul FeigStarsMelissa McCarthyRose ByrneJude LawA desk-bound CIA analyst volunteers to go undercover to infiltrate the world of a deadly arms dealer and prevent diabolical global disaster.Hilarious but tends to make their jokes go a bit too far. At least it isn't terrible.
- DirectorBrad PeytonStarsDwayne JohnsonCarla GuginoAlexandra DaddarioIn the aftermath of a massive earthquake in California, a rescue-chopper pilot makes a dangerous journey with his ex-wife across the state in order to rescue his daughter. The buildings crashing down looked kind of ok but most of the CGI was laughable. The Rock is fine in this, but the movie just didn't grab me.
- DirectorJaume Collet-SerraStarsLiam NeesonEd HarrisJoel KinnamanMobster and hit man Jimmy Conlon has one night to figure out where his loyalties lie: with his estranged son, Mike, whose life is in danger, or his longtime best friend, mob boss Shawn Maguire, who wants Mike to pay for the death of his own son. This movie was a lot better than I expected.
- DirectorPaul TibbittMike MitchellStarsTom KennyAntonio BanderasBill FagerbakkeWhen a diabolical pirate above the sea steals the secret Krabby Patty formula, SpongeBob and his friends team up in order to get it back. Not as good as the first movie. It needed to be a little bit less childish, but especially better written. It's a cheap, hastily made movie for very small kids.
- DirectorDanny BoyleStarsMichael FassbenderKate WinsletSeth RogenSteve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution, to paint a portrait of the man at its epicenter. The story unfolds backstage at three iconic product launches, ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac.
- DirectorJalmari HelanderStarsSamuel L. JacksonOnni TommilaRay StevensonA young teenager camping in the woods helps rescue the President of the United States when Air Force One is shot down near his campsite.Mediocre action movie that is predictable, badly written and badly acted in all the wrong ways but Sam saves it a bit by being his awesome self.
- DirectorHenry HobsonStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerAbigail BreslinJoely RichardsonA teenage girl in the Midwest becomes infected by an outbreak of a disease that slowly turns the infected into cannibalistic zombies. During her transformation, her loving father stays by her side. This movie isn't that bad, maybe a bit mediocre. It's very atmospheric and beautifully shot, And if you're a fan of zombies and don't mind the mythology being way off you'll like this movie. The big problem is this, Maggie should have changed into a zombie AFTER DYING, not while she's still alive. But zombies aren't real, and thus it's features can be changed. Last year's Life After Beth was also a story about a girl turning into a zombie and is more or less about the same subjects in a comedic manner, this is more dramatic.
- DirectorOwen HarrisStarsDaniel RadcliffeBill PaxtonRyan GageThe struggle of Houser's legal feud against American lawyer Jack Thompson, over the morality of the Grand Theft Auto video game series.
- DirectorKriv StendersStarsSimon PeggTeresa PalmerAlice BragaProfessional hit-man Charlie Wolfe finds himself in three tales of murder, blackmail and revenge after a botched contract assignment.A generic movie, Simon Pegg's awesome acting saves it a bit
- DirectorSimon WestStarsJason StathamMichael AngaranoDominik GarciaWhen a Las Vegas bodyguard with lethal skills and a gambling problem gets in trouble with the mob, he has one last play...and it's all or nothing. The writing is terrible, Jason Statham is not
- DirectorAlan TaylorStarsArnold SchwarzeneggerJason ClarkeEmilia ClarkeWhen John Connor, leader of the human resistance, sends Sgt. Kyle Reese back to 1984 to protect Sarah Connor and safeguard the future, an unexpected turn of events creates a fractured timeline. It's a very bland movie, the most generic one in the franchise. Jay Courtney ruins every scene he's in, this guy just likes to show up in the fifth installment of big franchises and ruin them. The romance between Kyle and Sarah feels very forced. It could have been worse as the movie is very watchable, but a massive pile of steaming dog excrement it surely is. However, Arnold Schwarzenegger is amazing and hilarious and his work shouldn't be overlooked just because Courtney is such a worthless human being.
- DirectorKyle BaldaPierre CoffinStarsSandra BullockJon HammMichael KeatonMinions Stuart, Kevin, and Bob are recruited by Scarlet Overkill, a supervillain who, alongside her inventor husband Herb, hatches a plot to take over the world.Annoying and Despicable. This is a terrible and disgusting kids movie and it ruins Despicable me.
- DirectorOlivier MegatonStarsLiam NeesonForest WhitakerMaggie GraceAccused of a ruthless murder he never committed or witnessed, Bryan Mills goes on the run and brings out his particular set of skills to find the true killer and clear his name.I'd rather get shot to death than watch this movie again
- DirectorChris ColumbusStarsAdam SandlerKevin JamesMichelle MonaghanWhen aliens misinterpret video feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war, they attack the Earth in the form of the video games.Absolutely terrible, written by total morons. A brilliant concept which should be impossible to screw up gets totally taken from behind by the worst writing I've ever seen.
- DirectorJosh TrankStarsMiles TellerKate MaraMichael B. JordanFour young outsiders teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe which alters their physical form in shocking ways. The four must learn to harness their new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy. The dialog is terribly written, the movie drags and is poorly edited. It's a mess.
- DirectorRobert SchwentkeStarsShailene WoodleyAnsel ElgortTheo JamesBeatrice Prior must confront her inner demons and continue her fight against a powerful alliance which threatens to tear her society apart with the help from others on her side.Divergent: Insurgent, which is the worst title in the history of filmmaking, is a cheap, hollow clone of the Hunger Games movies, which is what everybody expected. Shailene Woodley is no Jennifer Lawrence with no special quality to her acting and no chemistry with the other actors whatsoever. Her permanent b!tchf@ce is the face of the franchise and I don't get what came over them. Terrible camerawork, editing and direction are also to blame. It's not the worst movie of the year, but it's certainly trying to be.
- DirectorSteve PinkStarsRob CorddryCraig RobinsonClark DukeWhen Lou's shot in the groin, Nick and Jacob drag him in the Hot Tub Time Machine to go back in time and save Lou. The three end up 10 years in the future, where they need to go to find the shooter.Loved the first one, don't know what this was supposed to be.
- DirectorDean IsraeliteStarsAmy LandeckerSofia Black-D'EliaVirginia GardnerA group of teens discovers secret plans for a time machine, and construct one. However, things start to get out of control. The opening to this movie is one of the worst I've ever seen. the rest also isn't very good. Just look at what Michael Bay is trying to ram down your throat, it's completely worthless
