- DirectorDamien ChazelleStarsRyan GoslingEmma StoneRosemarie DeWittWhile navigating their careers in Los Angeles, a pianist and an actress fall in love while attempting to reconcile their aspirations for the future.after the first time I watched this film the first thought I had was, this may be the greatest film I have ever seen in my life and to this day I still think that, every time I watch La La Land I find something new, the characters Mia and Sebastian i relate to so much. Lead by Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone who give some of the best performances I have ever seen. Damien Chazelle makes films that connect with me like no other director has and I can't believe someone could make a film so perfect. Even on a technical level however this film is also perfect. The cinematography used is some of the best I have ever seen, using all different techniques that I love in film. The long takes during the musical numbers make them so much more spectacular, the screenplay written is fantastic giving such excellent dialogue and visual storytelling, and obviously the music used here is some of the best music I may have ever heard, and they are used so effectively in the film. There are certain sequences in the film that have my jaw drop every time and the conclusion is so strong and might be my favourite ending to a movie ever. La La Land is a movie that will forever stick with me and is one I constantly think about and when I can watch it next. I challenge you to find one thing wrong with this film, this is a true cinematic masterpiece and is nothing short of perfect in every way.

Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill give prefect performances, and Bennett Miller gives us a fantastic insight as to how a professional sports team operates with a low budget. The score used in this film is nothing short of masterful and is by far the greatest sports film ever made and to me the 2nd greatest film ever made.

Timothee Chalamet gives the best performance of his career and one of the best this generation. Armie Hammer also knocks it out of the park here, and Luca Guadagino gives us excellent direction showcasing the beauty of Italy, its culture, the city and the people inside of it.
