- DirectorWes AndersonStarsRalph FiennesF. Murray AbrahamMathieu AmalricA writer encounters the owner of an aging high-class hotel, who tells him of his early years serving as a lobby boy in the hotel's glorious years under an exceptional concierge.I just watched the movie that was recommended me a lot and I always wanted to see it--Grand Hotel Budapest. I didn't believe I'd watch some time soon in a movie that could surpass Mulholland Drive, but it happened and I miss too many crazy things in cinema unfortunately. The Grand Hotel Budapest, right now, is the best movie I've ever seen. Let's start from the beginning-the Grand Hotel Budapest is a brilliant drama film which manages to contain quite a bit of witty and sophisticated comedy. His cast is blown stars, from fairy tales like Bill Marie and Harvey Keitel, through contemporary stars such as Wilem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Adrian Brody and Edward Norton, and, of course, with the burglaries of the fine young generation--Saoirse Ronen, my favorite actress, who was also in little women and Lady Bird, and Tony Revolsuri, the central figure that might be recognized by the illuyals of Flash, the rival of Peter Parker, in the impersonal Spider-Man films of Marvel's cinematic universe. Here? It provides a game display to the Pantheon. So we realized that the players in this film are simply fantastic, what about the plot? Well, it's a movie that's not afraid to take the time to explain things and stretch them out to the end, as typical of his amazing director, Wes Anderson (immediately upon him). The plot is interesting, intriguing and sweeping, and Anderson manages to bring it to the great screen exactly with the right taste. The length of the film is an hour and a half-no need for more or less, everything here is refined to perfection. The directing? I guess anyone who loves cinema once or twice heard about Wes Anderson and his unique artistic style. Every frame, whip and sinkoons in this film looks like a painting or still picture that expended long hours in its position. Photography, the use of lighting to create an atmosphere according to the scene, well-felt editing which expands the unique style of the film, and directing, which is the highlight of the film. The position of figures, camera, lighting, design of small details, everything here is simply extraordinary from any other film you see in your life. In conclusion-it is a masterpiece of the real that Wes Anderson manages to provide for us. I don't have one bad word to say about this movie. Wilem Defoe is amazing as the villain, Gustav and Zero Mustafa contain tremendous dynamics as the main characters of the film, The Mighty Star Arsenal, which puts up the level, Saoirse Ronen delivers here one of her major game shows (not that she lacks it), and all other details are perfect. A movie that everyone must see without a doubt.
- DirectorDavid LynchStarsNaomi WattsLaura HarringJustin TherouxAfter a car wreck on Mulholland Drive renders a woman amnesiac, she and a Hollywood-hopeful search for clues and answers across Los Angeles in a twisting venture beyond dreams and reality.Mulholland Drive was until not a long ago my favorite movie of All times (and I don't change a favorite movie once a week).
The problem with this film analysis, in my opinion, is that you can never completely include everything and the shallow analysis that always do simplifies the film and the annoying levels.
In Lynch it is a matter of seeing, he recycles himself, in my opinion he uses (deliberately) the elements from previous films as part of a personal statement that never existed before.
What I really don't understand is that the emirate/"which is much easier to write a scattered script", should actually come to a blind film to think there is no connection between the passages and no reason and importance to the order in which they come. If people don't like absurd movies, it's filled.
I agree with the disappointment – when the movie is over, then you want the money back. Hints that are being filled. The movie is unclear.
But what – it is very stretching, and very cool.
And at the end of the cool you remember him and not the plot. Remember he was cool. The film lasted for two and a half hours, and It went really fast. And it was fun!
Maybe it's not a movie at all, it's a work of art that's been made into a film, and people won't get it because they show it in the cinema, not the museum.
And maybe it's a brilliant thriller film that needs paper and pencil to understand it.
What's certain is, you should see him.
In the end, Mulholland Drive was for two and a half hours of a combined pleasure that had been like fifteen minutes. And it is because I have come to the most exciting insights, and I have discovered the role of mankind, just like that. Either if you're having fun or not, although I had a lot of fun. - DirectorIrvin KershnerStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherAfter the Rebel Alliance are overpowered by the Empire, Luke Skywalker begins his Jedi training with Yoda, while his friends are pursued across the galaxy by Darth Vader and bounty hunter Boba Fett.Perfect Example for a brilliant director creating a brilliant film.
‘Echo Station Three-T-Eight. We have spotted Imperial Walkers!’ With that warning the Battle of Hoth’s ground assault begins as five huge Imperial Walkers stomp through the snow to take the Rebel base. Amazing special effects, thrilling music and heroic deaths. And what other major motion picture put its biggest action scene in the first act of the movie?
It would have been so easy for Yoda to be a very impressive but unconvincing muppet, but the mastery of Frank Oz and his team (of which there were more than people realise) along with the inspired design of the late, great Stuart Freeborn made the Jedi master a living, breathing character.
he man tasked with taking the director’s chair and making the movie his own. After Lucas opted never to direct again (which officially he wouldn’t until 1999’s The Phantom Menace, though he did direct scenes in the Ewok TV movie Caravan of Courage and a number of insert scenes in 1997’s Star Wars Trilogy Special Edition) Kershner put three years of his life into Empire, making astute observations about the truth of the characters and the situations and bringing a more mature edge to the Star Wars saga.
Certainly the most famous scene from a Star Wars film so far, and arguably from any movie ever made. In 1980, when the internet was but a twinkle in Cerf and Kahn’s eyes, such shocking revelations took far longer to surface and the whole world would hold its breath, certain that Vader was lying until 1983 and Return of the Jedi. What other film has a scene that even comes close to the impact of that?
He’s taken more than his fair share of flack over the years and in 2012 sold the franchise and his Lucasfilm empire to Disney for $4.2 billion. But none of it would have happened without his genius. After working through a number of drafts of the script he chose young screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan (recently returned to the Star Wars galaxy for The Force Awakens) to turn in a stunning draft, and gave the reins to Kershner to direct. Alongside his long-time production partner Gary Kurtz he oversaw a milestone in cinema, cementing the reign of the blockbuster and continuing a run of films that started with his friend Steven Spielberg’s Jaws and continues to this day. Say what you like about him, we have a LOT to thank George Lucas for.
The Movie has brilliant script, amazing acting, phnomenal action scenes and one big twist left me shaken. Amazing use of colors and light. My All Time Great from the saga, simply PHENOMENAL! - DirectorStanley KubrickStarsMalcolm McDowellPatrick MageeMichael BatesIn the future, a sadistic gang leader is imprisoned and volunteers for a conduct-aversion experiment, but it doesn't go as planned.it is the most gruesome and shocking film that I have seen in my life. Kubrick simply makes us indifferent to violence — using techniques such as slow motion or people with intellectual interference to make the characters to be taken, and we do not care that they are fighting terrible violence. Kubrick built brilliant shots, at the level of a door handle that entered into a glass of naked woman's painting on the wall. He was such a genius that you did not notice the amount of violence you were exposed to in the film, and until you begin to digest-you know that he is defending the violence and criticizing us for being legitimate to watch such a film. 10/10, Masterpiece, boundless and uninhibited, terrifying even today and I'm not going to sleep well after watching this, Thanks a lot Kubrick. What a satanic genius he was.
- DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleHeath LedgerAaron EckhartWhen the menace known as the Joker wreaks havoc and chaos on the people of Gotham, Batman must accept one of the greatest psychological and physical tests of his ability to fight injustice.Like all the films focused on the mythology, the film "Dark Knight" covers all the challenges presented in it, giving viewers everything they expected, but in ways that bring them out of balance.
An impressive film in that it brings the moral dilemma in his heart: Should a hero have to abandon the values of the order on which he is founded in order to defeat his opponent?
A team of fine actors ... Eckhart touches the heart in a most frightening way ... Bale gives a chilling appearance, turning his character into the lost hero in his loneliness and fantasy, which reminds Al Pacino in "The Godfather 2" ... Ledger creates anarchy from nothing Such as a clockwork orange and creates a rare figure!
A fascinating film that jumps above and beyond the original story and becomes a fascinating tragedy ... The film redefines the possibilities of comic strips. - DirectorFrank DarabontStarsTim RobbinsMorgan FreemanBob GuntonOver the course of several years, two convicts form a friendship, seeking consolation and, eventually, redemption through basic compassion.A wonderful and beautiful film about the life of a prisoner who entered without being in prison. With lots of power and lots of will, Andy manages to see hope beyond the walls and get out of jail.
Now-we'll tell the truth inside. The walls of hope is a very cheesy film. A lot of annoying sentences accompany the film. But the good acting, the quality plot, and the clinical message, but very true, give us a great movie, a film that is educational, beautiful, a little cheesy, but who cares? I loved the movie. In my opinion it is not the best film of all time, but it is undoubtedly admirable. - DirectorTodd PhillipsStarsJoaquin PhoenixRobert De NiroZazie BeetzDuring the 1980s, a failed stand-up comedian is driven insane and turns to a life of crime and chaos in Gotham City while becoming an infamous psychopathic crime figure.Since his chair as part of the official competition of the Venice Festival about a month and a half ago, "Joker" has become one of the most controversial, explosive and disputed films of the past decade. On the one hand, he came out of the festival with the Golden Lion and broke a glass ceiling for commercial products based on comic books, defined as a masterpiece by the European critics, and broke the United States in the last weekend. On the other hand, the American media pressed every name for a possible notoriety in the era of political health, director Todd Phillips became the social-boxing bag of societal networks, families of gunshot victims sought to scrap it and security was introduced to some of the halls in which it is screened. At the end of the last weekend, the film immigrated to Israel, and we could also see what the fuss was about.
Let's start with the only simple sentence you can say about the film: he describes the events that we know of the Batman, but this time from the jazz point of view, and tries to explain how the personality of one of the most famous arvillains in the popular culture has been played by Joaquin Phoenix, who went into the big shoes of Jack Nicholson, Heath and others who have done this before.
From here on, it gets complicated. It is easier to say what "joker" does not approve what he is. This is a sign that is hung this week in one of the New York cinemas, as part of the overall confusion of the country following the rise of the hit--"attention, please, it is not a comic film in the usual sense of the word, as you are."
Indeed, "Joker " is really not a natural continuation of other successful arrangements for comic books from the last time. Not to Marvel's, and certainly not to those of the DC, whose legacy is based, although it has clear references to previous "Batman" movies. If we still have to say why this strange chicken is similar, it is a combination of psychological drama, a dark thriller, and a social satire. It is evident that its contents and style derive inspiration from the "Taxi Driver" and "the King of Comedy", two of the modern classics that Martin Scorsese created between the late seventies and the early 1980s, a fine and wild time in American cinema, which generally affects the film. Even the scene of his occurrence, the fictitious city of Gutheam at a vague point of time, mentions the cinematic representations of New York in those days, while there was still Sodom and Gomorrah of America.
And what about the man who becomes a gentleman? He suffers from a mental injury, which leads him to tell terrible jokes without being aware of it, and to burst into uncontrollable laughter, which makes him resemble some sort of Hollywood version of Assaf Ashtar at Comedy Store. His livelihood comes from his work as a clown, but even though he wants to make others happy, his hand is perceived as despicable, and brings back humiliation: Already in the first scene, a bunch of youngsters hit him on the street, and at a later stage, Thomas Wayne calls in contempt of "clowns" and all those lowlife living in his eyes that are not as wealthy as he is. This statement echoes of course the similar emissions that were made by Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton during their presidential campaigns against groups in the population, and strengthening the film's topical dimension.
If it is not enough for the hero's troubles, the capitalist elite's policy is leading to cuts in the welfare services and therefore also to the termination of the necessary treatments and the disease. And yet he has more hope: his mother terrorist planted him the faith that came to the world to bring them all a smile on his face, and that he would come out with something big. The open stage of a stand-up comedy club allows it to begin to realize this dream, and from there to bear eyes for the truly great fantasy--a performance in the program of his favorite light-Knight, Robert De Niro, that lihuku here is a wink to the "King of comedy", where they played the opposite role of an obsessive admirer of famous comedian (the same Played at the time of Jerry Lewis).
All this makes "joker" a smart, complex and relevant film that will be taught at universities and not only in the Department of film, but also mainly in social sciences. In the American media, audits were published that had been enjoyed by the arrogance that it was a foolish piece that was unaware of its meaning. The truth is reversed: there is not a moment here that is not on the banks of irony. If anything, the problem is that the result is so self-conscious that it already has something smug and more pressing.
In the end, the virtues cover up the disadvantages, which is the result that improves as it progresses, and the second part is powerful and even exemplary.
Behind this artistic success are some factors, other than the quality of the script we have already spoken about. First and foremost, the "Joaquin Phoenix" game, which officially establishes its status in the pantheon of the greatest, not only in his generation, but at all times. It is hard to think about many other players who were able to play such an extreme character without any phony character, and in a way that would make such a big impression. He is present in the film in almost every moment, carries him on his shoulders with dedication and a total determination, and builds a resting portrait.
On the side of Phoenix, though in a much smaller position, Robert De Niro reminds anyone who forgot what a big player he is. The two of these are the directors of the director Todd Phillips, who are not only in casting and guided by actors but also in all that is related to the scene, creating an atmosphere, placing a camera, editing, combining images into music and so on. Everything here is calculated, meticulous and effective, in everything concerning the picture and everything about sound. So, for example, once in a while we hear the movement of trains above the heads of the characters, which plays a double role: also creates a realistic sense of urban life, and also serves as a metaphor for a storm that is in the consciousness of the hero.
The film depicts a terrible reality: violent, popustic, passionate, hateful and almost merciless. What to do is the world we live in. "Joker " does not justify him, but just tries to understand how he was created, and how can I treat decay if you don't understand what his roots are? To me, this film is one of the five best movies I've ever seen, and I'm taking my hat off to anyone who's involved in his work. - DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsJohn TravoltaUma ThurmanSamuel L. JacksonThe lives of two mob hitmen, a boxer, a gangster and his wife, and a pair of diner bandits intertwine in four tales of violence and redemption.Except for the fact that the film gave a serious push (if it did not live entirely), some of the great players of the 1990s like John Travolta, Samuel El Jackson and Bruce Willis, and besides having great dialogues, Was innovative. in what? In many things: in his nonlinear time structure (and for many people it was really hard to see why the scenes were not arranged chronologically), his reference to American pop culture and his (physical and verbal) violence. All these existed before Tarantino and he did not invent any of these things. But he did put them in the mainstream, and that's what he deserves credit for.
But if you are looking for one thing which was innovative in my opinion, I would say that it is innovative in its casualness.
As the responder noted before, take the services issue. On the face of it, why would a film waste time on screen and indicate the stereotypical fact that one of the characters should be evacuated? After all, every film student learns that you should not waste time trivial things in the film. But for Tarantino, who saw a lot of movies, it bothered a little. After so many films that ignore it, he chose to put this situation in meaningful moments, such as in the case of Vincent and Punch or in the case of Vincent and Maya.
And besides that - it's a great movie from every other cinematic aspect. - DirectorFrancis Ford CoppolaStarsMarlon BrandoAl PacinoJames CaanThe aging patriarch of an organized crime dynasty transfers control of his clandestine empire to his reluctant son.Maybe because after a few views, The Godfather, like a truly great work of art, is also a certain kind of Rorschach test for those who watch it. So every view is different, and every viewing shows me different things. I do not mean only small pearls that reveal in a second or third view - such as the precise and wonderful characterization of Paulie's secondary character through simple and simple body gestures at the beginning of the film - which I have already exhausted. I mean the way I look at the film and the characters I identify with. In one view I will identify with Vito Corleone, the head of the New York crime family, whose opponents are joining him; In another view, I will feel great closeness to Michael, his young son, who pays a personal price for businesses he did not want; Or maybe it was Sonny Corleone, the eldest brother, the hotheaded and the violent, who would get an unexpected sympathy as a tragic figure.
Or perhaps what captures me in this film is actually his class as a "classic"? Perhaps the knowledge that I am watching a movie that has been quoted so many times and has so profoundly influenced the world of cultural contexts in which we live - from the Sopranos to images of government corruption in Israel - fascinates me. So I can suddenly get a nice insight into another film, or about the reason why they did not take me to the last job I interviewed.
I guess the trivia information I mentioned at the top of the page suggests I'm not the only one who feels that way about the film. So it seems that the status of the 'godfather' indicates that the film is hurting the emotions of other viewers. I hope that even a viewer who does not feel anything will suddenly recognize the lines of a dialogue he has heard thousands of times in the past ("We will offer him an offer he can not refuse," "sleep with the fish") or figures he has seen in dozens of films since then.
In any case, watching the Godfather is a must - even if you do not find a film that is so well detailed on your chords, at least complement a cultural classic. - DirectorStanley KubrickStarsKeir DulleaGary LockwoodWilliam SylvesterAfter uncovering a mysterious artifact buried beneath the Lunar surface, a spacecraft is sent to Jupiter to find its origins: a spacecraft manned by two men and the supercomputer HAL 9000."2001" is a groundbreaking film, but it's also 50 years old. How much should you watch it today? It's a matter of error, not patience. But, perhaps, that Kubrick offers all, re-finite, fitting, where it offers. Yes, towards the end there is a long scene and the psychedelic halo (perhaps the brilliant mechanic of the 1968 Kubrick) can be shortened, but even after 50 years of the film. I'm still in the tenth, too. This is especially remarkable in light of the fact that the vast majority of these films were influenced in one way or another.
"2001" is a film that respects its viewers, and although it leaves them a lot of clues and a lot of wire ends it mainly gives them a lot of meeting options and personal interpretation with its ideas and story. And he respects the viewers because he respects his ideas: artificial intelligence, morality, evolution, parenthood, the future of humanity, the life cycle of the individual and the general. He deals with all these and more, while the characters also drink juice and exercise and talk to their parents. And he respects the ideas because he respects his story and the medium in which he works, and what he has to say he conveys to viewers in a cinematic, nonverbal language, while he brings the well-known rule of "Look, do not tell" The first 20 minutes or the 20 minutes that close the movie.
I recommend seeing "2001" as an alien, not like Kubrick: fill one bucket with popcorn, and then patiently. It is not a film that needs to disconnect the brain, but the absolute opposite of it, but it does require disconnecting from the outside world and immersing itself in the environment, the rhythm, the sound, the characters, the technology, the design, and especially the ideas and the story. The reward was great, in real time and in retrospect: the night scene of apes helped me understand why darkness is frightening, and another scene came back to me the first time I talked to a man who was fading. If you let him, the film will take you on a journey to the awe, wonder, horror and hope involved in the idea of the journey into space, into the great mystery, the mysterium tremondum of the modern age. - DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsHarrison FordKaren AllenPaul FreemanIn 1936, archaeologist and adventurer Indiana Jones is hired by the U.S. government to find the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis can obtain its awesome powers. The adventurous archaeologist Jones (Harrison Ford) is escorted into Egyptian deserts, accompanied by his faithful whip and beautiful beauty (Karen Allen). Indie, James Bond of the Jungles, tries to reach one of the most wonderful treasures - the Ark of the Covenant from the Temple. The journey takes place in the 1940s, when its rivals on the way to the treasure are the greedy, greedy and greedy Nazis who are ready to approach the closet by virtue of the miraculous powers attributed to it and the Divine Presence to dwell in. The first film in the Spielberg and Lucas trilogy, which became a huge hit, established Ford's superstar status.
a fucking masterpiece. - DirectorFrank DarabontStarsTom HanksMichael Clarke DuncanDavid MorseA tale set on death row, where gentle giant John Coffey possesses the mysterious power to heal people's ailments. When the lead guard, Paul Edgecombe, recognizes John's gift, he tries to help stave off the condemned man's execution. The Green Mile is a truly inspiring, touching and sad film all in one. It makes you think about how miracles could possibly work and how some people might deserve them. This and the Shawshank Redemption are the best adaptations of Stephen King's work. The soundtrack is great. Like Shawshank it is done by Thomas Newman. Michael Clarke Duncan is perfect for the role of John Coffey and should've gotten the Oscar for best supporting actor in 1999. Tom Hanks is great in the role of Paul Edgecomb. The rest of the cast is great with supporting roles being played by Barry Pepper, David Morse, Michael Jeter, Jeffrey Demunn, Sam Rockwell, Harry Dean Stanton, James Cromwell, William Sadler, and the always villainous Doug Hutchison. Toward the end I really thought how is it possible to not cry at the end of this film?
- DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsRoy ScheiderRobert ShawRichard DreyfussWhen a killer shark unleashes chaos on a beach community off Cape Cod, it's up to a local sheriff, a marine biologist, and an old seafarer to hunt the beast down.n June 1975, Universal Studios released what quickly became the first summer cashier in Hollywood history. Steven Spielberg's film was distributed at the same time without fewer than 466 cinemas across the United States, a broad distribution that was not the same in those days. This is because normally, the studio would have spread a movie slower and gradually. First he would come to some cinemas in the big cities and only at the last stage he would also come to the screens in the suburbs.
Because of the astonishing success of "Jaws ", which was the first film that his income in the registers crossed the line of $100 million, films became a huge event. As a result of his success, the studios began to produce large-scale blockbuster vouchers in order to attract a wide audience. Today, it may sound totally delusional, but it's about the fact: the days before "Jaws", summer is considered a low season at the registers.
The shark story in "Jaws" was the first universal attention in 1974, when Peter Benchley's novel presented his readers with the giant white shark and the vacationers who had been named "real " (representing Martha Winillard in reality) and the three men who were fighting to get him. Banchik's affair was a dizzying success and spent 44 weeks on the bestsellers list. In the same year, Universal approached Benchik and Karl Gottlieb and asked them to process the book for screenplay. The directing was in the hands of the young Spielberg, who drew the attention of the industry after his first two projects: the TV thriller "Duel" From 1971 and his debut film "Sugarland Express" from 1974.
During the fall of 1974 there were reports of troubles occurring on the set. The weather in the place was hard, and the mechanical shark was called Bruce, threatening to make the film a patently unreliable. And yet, the film survived. That's a good one. In order to conceal the mechanical shark, Spielberg and his team decided to take the approach of "what you do not see, scarier than you do see," and used music, tricks of sight and even floating barrels to simulate the shark, without giving viewers a closer look at the naval predator. Thanks to the edit and the Academy's Oscar winner, the result was cinematic magic.
All this, without mentioning the unforgettable performances of the actors: Robert Shaw as the Shark Hunter, Captain Quint; Richard Dreyfuss (who was convinced that the film was going to be the flop of the year) in the role of the maritime biologist, Matt Hopper; And Roy Scheider, who is famous for "The French Connection", "Every Man/" of this thriller, Sheriff Martin Brody.
Perhaps the best part of the film is also the most quiet moment, when Quint recalled at the time he served aboard the USS USS Indianapolis, which was embedded in the Pacific Ocean by a Japanese torpedo on 30 July 1945. The survivors, those sharks did not devour, were rescued from the water only on August 2. Although there are conflicting reports about who wrote
His speech is customary to give the credit to Shaw himself. Shaw, who was also a playwright and writer, wrote the majority of the speech.
In addition, "Jaws" also changed the career of composer John Williams, who won an Oscar for the unforgettable music. Tell me, what other piece of music in the world can only be identified by two characters? It was the beginning of a charming collaboration between Williams and Spielberg, which has continued to this day. - DirectorJames MangoldStarsHugh JackmanPatrick StewartDafne KeenIn a future where mutants are nearly extinct, an elderly and weary Logan leads a quiet life. But when Laura, a mutant child pursued by scientists, comes to him for help, he must get her to safety."Logan - Wolverine" continues the fascinating and messy line that the series progresses in such a way that it is hard to imagine the films "Avengers" dare. The plot takes place in 2029, in a rather depressing world, where the mutants almost ceased to exist, surprisingly. The elderly Logan / Wolverine makes a living as a limousine driver, dedicating his salary to the elderly and broken Professor Exavier. But one day, a mysterious woman entrusts Logan with a strange girl named Laura, who turns out to be super-strong and therefore provides an opening for hope for a different future for the mutants. Together with Lore and Professor Xavier, Logan sets out on a journey fraught with peril, the last thing in his plans.
Nevertheless, Logan is a fascinating phenomenon to watch, a combination of a film of heroes and a Western, a futuristic world that seems old. A beautiful and gloomy vision that connects to the story of the redemption of a broken man who long ago gave up the hero's pattern. As with a quote from Shane, this work has never really been his. And precisely because of this, "Logan" is a hero film worthy of all the praise given to him! - DirectorRian JohnsonStarsDaisy RidleyJohn BoyegaMark HamillRey develops her abilities with the help of Luke Skywalker, as the Resistance prepares for battle against the First Order. The duty of the "The Last Jedi" is its very challenging length, which does not always justify itself in the second and a bit exhausting campaign. Some of the narrative arches that sprang in it could have been shortened without harming them, and the feeling was that closer editing would have made the film final in the history of the saga. In the meantime, the fans and the experts will continue to argue about their nature and their historical place, and as always, only time will decide where they will eventually settle. But it is safe to say that Rian Johnson has succeeded in a particularly tough task: "The Last Jedi" is not only a unique and beautiful film but also exciting, smart, surprising and amusing, something Irwin Kirschner himself would have been proud of.
- DirectorChristopher NolanStarsChristian BaleHugh JackmanScarlett JohanssonAfter a tragic accident, two stage magicians in 1890s London engage in a battle to create the ultimate illusion while sacrificing everything they have to outwit each other."The Prestige" is a film that relates to his audience with respect, letting them guess (quite easily) part of the twist is already in the middle of the film and yet continues to hold (maybe because the "the" twists are not the essence) by using a clever, rich script and excellent character design. The film itself is about obsessions, passion, competition, and human urges, so – despite the twists – he manages to transcend himself. This is contrary to the "Artist of Illusions" – a shameful film about similar subjects.
SPOILERS - Towards the end, just before his death, Angier says how brave it was to be in order to enter the machine every day without knowing where he would end the show – in the water tank or in the stands (the Prestige).
What brought me to think of the "last" (the one who was shot at the end) – Mank his gaze is a man of great fortune!!!
Since the machine produces a perfect clone of ansier (including all memories up to the "clone"), in terms of the last Angier, he participated in every show in which the machine was activated, and at any time he had the chance to end the show in the gallery with the Prestige, each time he was a "other" in the water tank below.
The "prestige" is in the eyes of an excellent opening for the year 2007. - DirectorMartin ScorseseStarsRobert De NiroJodie FosterCybill ShepherdA mentally unstable veteran works as a nighttime taxi driver in New York City, where the perceived decadence and sleaze fuels his urge for violent action.Robert De Niro, as to be expected, delivers an amazing, haunting performance as one of the greatest film characters of all time in perhaps the greatest psychological thriller I've seen. Never has a movie so perfectly meticulously traced a character's gradual descent into madness.
One of my favorite Scorcese movies, and a great performance from De Niro. In my opinion, everyone should see this movie whether you're younger or older and never saw it. - DirectorGeorge LucasStarsMark HamillHarrison FordCarrie FisherLuke Skywalker joins forces with a Jedi Knight, a cocky pilot, a Wookiee and two droids to save the galaxy from the Empire's world-destroying battle station, while also attempting to rescue Princess Leia from the mysterious Darth Vader.A groundbreaking and legendary film that is both fun and entertaining beyond belief. The writing is fantastic, the performances have a pulpy undercurrent and the action exhilarating and iconic. An arguably perfect film that captures the feeling of child like wonder and awe unlike any other film.
Unlike anything that came before, Star Wars is epic on every scale; and George Lucas has given us a glimpse of a fully realized universe that leaves its legacy today.
An important and revolutionary film. Unforgettable, fun and smart. If you haven't seen this film yet or any other Star Wars film for that matter, then you are doing a complete disservice! - DirectorSteven SpielbergStarsSam NeillLaura DernJeff GoldblumA pragmatic paleontologist touring an almost complete theme park on an island in Central America is tasked with protecting a couple of kids after a power failure causes the park's cloned dinosaurs to run loose. There are bigger monsters than her. In relation to the giant flirt that is filled with the "Pacific Rim", for example, it is tiny. With respect to the global devastation in movies like the "Steel Man/", she hardly causes any damage. She has less teeth than Jack Sparrow's Kraken. But we will see you facing the T-Rex of "Jurassic Park", staring at you through the window of the car, her face filling the entire windshield, and her name is "small." Come on, let's see you. The T-Rex and the cars in the "Jurassic Park" were and remained one of the best, most brilliant, most efficient and most terrifying scenes of monsters ever, and one of the strongest arguments that Steven Spielberg is a genius.
"Jurassic Park " was originally 20 years ago, in 1993 (if you've just felt a cold wave percolating down your spine, everything is fine. It's only acknowledging that you're old, and quickly became the biggest movie ever, then. Not because of the brilliant classics or screenplay: Because of the dinosaurs. The revolution In the effects field was that it was the first film to display reliable monsters made from only pixels, along with those who are actually animilic dolls. There have been plenty of monsters, dragons, dinosaurs and fairytale creatures in the cinema before, but they never looked so real. In this way, the "Jurassic Park" opened the cinematic era, where digital stunts allow all-inclusive display on the screen.
A lot of bits have been flowing through the computer-effects processors Since then, and we've practiced. So, seeing a dinosaur walking on the screen was a miracle. Today a herd of flying unicorns, paganism, manses, Hydrocans, and Crines can go on the screen in any third advertisement, and we are not in the blink. As the film that opened this age, it is surprising that some of the effects in the "Jurassic Park" we have not been orphaned. Apart from a few moments, the dinosaurs look great, while the effects in the later movies are far more awkward and unreliable in relation to modern standards. But twenty-one effects are not a reason enough to see a movie. The reason to see him is that "Jurassic Park" works.
No matter how many bigger monsters you've seen, the first encounter with the Berchtesgaden is still a little more frightening, the T-Rex is still spooky, holocizers are still vicious monsters from nightmares. The film navigates among the various attractions like a Luna Park journey – and that, in no case, his storyline is truly a journey at Luna Park.
The excuse for the re-screening of course is three-dimensional. Film Conversion technology for 3-D has improved greatly since the "Clash of the Titans" caused the eyes all over the world to bleed. The conversion is so good that it cannot be identified that "Jurassic Park " was not originally filmed in three-dimensional. There are scenes in which the three-dimensional effect is noticeable, and it helps to further blur the difference between the computer dinosaurs and the physical. But none of this makes the three-dimensional necessary. When I watched "Jurassic Park" twenty years ago, I didn't bother me that dinosaurs didn't jump out of the screen and the card was too cheap. The film worked very well in C-dimension. The extra dimension does not interfere, but it is also not much beneficial.
The differences between 1993 and 2013 feel at the rate of the film and its density. In relation to today's acorns, "Jurassic Park" is slow and very calm. Even when I saw him during his original period, the wait for the dinosaurs was long and exhausting: almost an hour passed until finally there was some dinosaur to run away from, and until then – we get mainly the same: promising us dinosaurs that we don't see, and talk a lot about the park, the man and nature and the theory of Chaos. There is no way that such a scenario would pass through the day without explicit note. Red marker: "Enter a dinosaur attack in the first 15 minutes!!! ". The second hour of the film holds the promises: it's a sequence of action scenes, stress and escape from small and big dinosaurs, and yet, in relation to the busy summer movies tired of today, it's a small film. What do you see in there? Some Lusitsians, one T-rex, some vegetarian dinosaurs that don't count, and that's it. If he had been made today, there would have been five more types of dinosaurs, and at the end of the film they would unite to one giant mega-saurus and fight the Optimus Prime, and then it became clear that one of the rockets was actually spied on the T-Rex and the little girl was actually Wayne Knight in disguise. Because less than that is not enough.
So that's it, that's it. Without taking three hours and not trying to be everything for everyone, "Jurassic Park" is still a great summer movie in the world. I am not one of those who sees a masterpiece of all time: it includes effective scenes and technically is of course more than a Stegosaurus road that is late for work, but it does not have a brilliant story or amazing and memorable figures, at least not that of gay Spacinas. (I don't think the infamous sequels were as bad as they say: I have enjoyed the second and third films for exactly the same reasons.) And despite all this, a 20-year-old film is one of the most successful popcorn movies of the summer 2013. If somehow you haven't seen him yet, it's worth seeing--not for cinematic education, but just for fun. - DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsLeonardo DiCaprioBrad PittMargot RobbieA faded television actor and his stunt double strive to achieve fame and success in the final years of Hollywood's Golden Age in 1969 Los Angeles."Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" is Quentin Tarantino's ninth long film and, to believe it, his penultimate before he calls back his career. Just before the Swan song, the director presents a work here that is more of a seminar project than a film - with large, cohesive research questions, to which the creator finds reasoned and convincing answers, based on a list of extensive sources. As an academic submission, the result is worthy of a century, but as a cinematic experience, the assessment is a bit more involved.
First and foremost, "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" is a love song to the game world. Tarantino was always been a director of actors and actresses, and throughout his career has revealed or made many and many kebbucks and others have simply given the big roles in their careers, many thanks to his sense of casting and coaching skills.
Tarantino loves actors, is attentive to them and aware of their sensibilities. This was evident in each of his films, and especially evident in the film, which is full of compassion for these craftsmen, their need for recognition and their fear that no one will look at them anymore. All of this leads to two of the most beautiful scenes in the film, which are also at least two of the most beautiful in the director's body of work. At one, the fading actor starring DiCaprio sheds his insides precisely to a girl who stares at him in a negligible TV series, and confesses that he is the surefire way to be a dead and useless horse. In the second, and even more beautiful, Sharon Tate enters a movie theater to watch a fresh espionage comedy star, and relishes what she sees on screen, and especially the enthusiastic reactions of the audience behind her.
Further on, the second idea is to salute the film industry's shadow people - the stunt duplicates, whose role in power is even more essential today than in the past, yet they do not receive the proper assessment. For years, for example, they have been talking about the need to start giving them Oscars too, but that doesn't happen. Tarantino does what he can and takes off his hat. Pete's play at first seems secondary to the plot, but over time it turns out to be the most powerful character, in every respect, and that the other characters owe her the greatest debt.
Tarantino presents all these fascinating ideas sharply and sharply. He earned his doctorate here with honors, and the film has other advantages: As usual, he uses camera and soundtrack spectacularly, styling Los Angeles of the 1960s in a way that is eye-catching. In addition, his work with players at their best. This is mostly true of Brad Pitt and Margo Robbie. They are wonderful and showcase the good performances of their careers. They both deserve an Oscar.
That's not all: At the beginning and middle of the movie there are some great scenes, including of course the two already mentioned, and its half-hour extension is a real masterpiece: a series of brilliant screenplays that perform most impressively. It is a cinematic column-de-force and a complete knockout, which leaves the audience with a sense of intoxication.
A new film by Tarantino is a cultural event, and today such an event requires a doomed sentence - equal or disappointing? Running or staying at home? Do you like or throw tomatoes? I'm sorry, but at least on my part, there will be no such sweeping decision, and it cannot be. For me, the movie was a masterpiece. For some people it will be very boring. - DirectorDanny BoyleStarsEwan McGregorEwen BremnerJonny Lee MillerRenton, deeply immersed in the Edinburgh drug scene, tries to clean up and get out despite the allure of drugs and the influence of friends.Trainspotting is Danny Boyle's second film in all, probably the one that became "Citizen Cane" of his career as a director. The film revolves around the life of Mark Renton, a heroin addict trying to get a new life played by brilliant actor Ian McGregor. The film touches on the lowest points of drug addicts, and contrary to what stupid politicians said about it at the time, it doesn't push or use drugs in a positive light. In fact, it is far more daunting and encouraging to embark on a new life rather than settling for drugs as a substitute for real enjoyment. The film is subtly staged, exemplified through camera games and the use of colors that delight when watching, realizing that the place is dirty and uninviting, but the drugs are what is colorful about it. The film can surprise, excite and empower our connection to its characters and emotion.
I enjoyed and laughed while watching a movie like I didn't laugh and enjoyed the movie for the first time in a long time. An influential classic, a very important film for film, probably for British and Scottish, which will remain with us for many more years in memory. - DirectorStanley KubrickStarsJack NicholsonShelley DuvallDanny LloydA family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where a sinister presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from both past and future. The "Shining" is the only horror film in Stanny Kubrick's career. A bit ironic, considering that he was able to shock the whole world when creating a "Clockwork Orange." At that time, Kubrick was known to the public as a Satanic genius, whose every film that comes out under his hand becomes a controversial and admired in an unprecedented way. His main problem when the release of the "Shining" was released was that Steven King's audience and even King himself went against the film and set him off. Over the years, people have finally been able to understand that it is a one-time masterpiece in the horror of terror and in general in the entire cinema. Kubrick created a different and preferable version of King's book, which had less than a natural, and focused on a disturbed family man who loses his sanity and harms his loved ones. With Kubrick, the big difference is that Jack Torrance is a date for doom in advance, and there is no loss of sanity because of the haunted place, but loneliness that leads to Jack's real face to come out and be discovered. The film is staged exemplary in the form of a photographic composition, and it is one of the more visually stunning films ever created. The game of Jack Nicholson is as good as expected, and mine Duvall did not drop the film, but only to rank him. Kubrick's choice was not to tell her the truth about the end of the film while outrageous, but in the end she managed to lead to the true and gruesome reactions of Duval, who provided a real masterpiece of her sincerity towards the audience. In conclusion, the "Shining" is a film that every person should see at least once in a lifetime. It's a classic horror film and an age-old cinematic classics, which is rare to see movies that are made at such a high level today.
- DirectorQuentin TarantinoStarsJamie FoxxChristoph WaltzLeonardo DiCaprioWith the help of a German bounty-hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal plantation owner in Mississippi. The spaghetti products, the same mutation of the genre that evolved in Italy of the 1960s, have always been from the favourites of Quentin Tarantino. Their merciless but poetic violence, the totally liberated cinematic style, and the tendency to dismantle the mythology of the American heritage, all of these have deeply influenced him, and it was clear that some time his favorite type would be directly to him.
This is happening now, in the "Django Unchained" where Tarantino returns to America of 1855. He does this to show us a story that many of his elements have appeared in previous western times, but this time there is an unprecedented change in the balance of racial powers, at least for a high-budget Hollywood production. Accordingly, the film was named after the Black slave (Jamie Foxx), who turns that endowed with a natural talent for hunting people. Therefore, he collects him to his bosom a whitish bounty hunter named King Schultz (Christopher Woltz), and assures him that if he helps him take some of his tasks into practice, he will help him fulfill his dream of saving his beloved, a slave who reincarnated in the hands of a ruthless manor (Leonardo DiCaprio).
He had chosen to present such a natural story not only in relation to the long-lasting affection of Tarantino for movies on the time of America, but also requested as a continuation of his previous work, "disrespectful bastards." Just as he did there, too he goes back to the past to rewrite history, and to present a cinematic fantasy in which the oppressed succeed in getting rid of their pain, and revenge for those who have tied them in them. Last time, the Jewish Shoshana eliminated Hitler; Here, the black DJango takes his fate in his own hands, and goes on a journey, and he is astonished by the whites of his lover and the rest of trunk.
That's right, that's the sequence of things that could not be traced in the Vicepdia, but for what cinema, asking Tarantino, if not to invent a new history, as it could have been and as we might have wanted you to be? And the audience can add another question, isn't it? The kind of "inglorious bastards" and "Django Unchained", that they do not wish to present historical truth and exist only in the alternative reality of the big screen, than those of the "Schindler's List" and "Lincoln " (both of Spielberg), which claim To be faithful to history, but in a structured way they have no chance of standing up, so they are actually wronged?
At this point, Tarantino proves again that he is not just a director of noise and ringing, as was always blamed by his critics, but mainly a creator who is deeply interested in the issues of nationality, identity, semantics, differences in cultures and mainly language and meaning. In "Pulp Fiction" he dealt with it in the famous dialogue about the way French and Dutch eat hamburger and cello, and in "bastards" in a position where the fate of the world depends on the different forms in which the British and Germans mark the sphere three. Here, he does this as soon as a European head hunter and an African-American figure are educated to speak above the head of a Anglo-Saxon estate, which claims to be a parcopophile but in fact does not understand anything and half of it in the heritage of the classic continent. As in the previous two cases, this is also the practice of being fluent and ironic.
Even though it is not fastened, and there is sometimes a degree of smugly, the script of "Django without restraint" is characterized by a fluent, precise, witty and full language. Under the hands of the director, creative writing has also come to the cloth in a virtuoso manner. At some point in the film, as a matter of his business in the relationship between Europe and the United States, one of the characters tells the other what it means that someone has a "funch" (Panache, in French) that he has style, full of Oz and the DAR. Tarantino seems to combine this explanation in order to define himself, since there is no greater superwell to praise his talents and work.
For Tarantino, then there is a panesh, and in a way, he is the one-tooth squirrel that fate called nuts, he is the giant juice squeezer that God gave her lemonade. Too often in "DJango" you can discern that he does not always know how to stop, and that there is no one who dares to restrain him, yet he almost always manages to move forward, and use the cinematic heritage and the contemporary tools to create a rich, stimulating, sweeping, and particularly enjoyable artistic experience.
The haters of Tarantino will also say that he achieves it by no more than the cold control of the camera, but in "django" he proves again that how well he is to cast, and then work with the players he has chosen. A brief portion of the canvas is to count all the names that appear here, even if the main characters are delayed. Still, it should be said that Jamie Foxx discovers a great deal of charisma and is not self-evident in the role of the lead, and closes the gap in competition with Denzel Washington for Obama's discoveries in a film that is probably going to be produced on his life.
In addition, Leonardo DiCaprio was a more sadistic role than ever as the owner of the estate, and the wild Samuel L. Jackson, as always brilliant as her Kaafu, is a charged and binding role, which in every more self-righteous film was probably given to Morgan Freeman. Instead, Tarantino preferred to give the character to an actor who does not aspire to make it tragic as required, but rather to absurd. This is appropriate for the satirical nature of the film, which proves again that the spaghetti products are the best Satliot on American history.
But above all, the striking image of the film is the one of King Schultz, since its design attests to the development of the Director's work. In the discovery of Holtz, it appears to be a kind of clone of Hans Landa, the psychopathic and one-sided Nazi officer that the Austrian star has entered into his skin in "bastards." But slowly, it emerges that the story is more complex, and who at the beginning of the road seems to be no more than one of the director's sadistic scoundrels, suddenly finding compassion, kindness, and caring.
These features arrive in Xian as soon as King Schultz thinks from the heart and not from the head during the most painful operation. So it turns out that Tarantino, from the signs of cynicism of the post-modern era, begin to listen to the soul and to the mind. Accordingly, he makes a leap of rank here, and serves a film that is not a sentimental one, and yet he is the most sensitive and emotional in his history, and the closest thing to a love story he has ever created.
"Django", then, is a landmark in the cinematic display of American history, an intellectual experience and, perhaps more than anything, just great fun. But besides, it's also an interesting stage in the career of Tarantino, similar to his protagonists here, pulling a surprising card from the sleeve. At this rate, if it continues to evolve, and if he learns to be a little less satisfied with himself, it is quite possible to believe that his next work will be even more exquisite, and may be discovered as a masterpiece that he dreams of doing, so that he can retire in record and quiet. How long ago did he say his victory speech was the president whose spirit echoes throughout the film? The best is in front of us. - DirectorTim BurtonStarsMichael KeatonDanny DeVitoMichelle PfeifferWhile Batman deals with a deformed man calling himself the Penguin wreaking havoc across Gotham with the help of a cruel businessman, a female employee of the latter becomes the Catwoman with her own vendetta. The viewing experience began before the film itself was screened, with a public service announcement that was played by the Gremlins, which would not behave like them and not corrupt the movie theater during the film. Watching the film itself was initially felt like the visual equivalent of listening to the record. The little jumps and scratches on film function like a little bit of self-incriminations and a bit of an emotional one that reminds you that the seventh art is relatively new, but it is already a significant part of your human culture and your own memory. This is the second time I watched "Batman Returns" (Batman Returns) in full as I recall, when the last time was in a movie theater. The big difference between the two views is the years that have passed. I was a one-year-old girl in 1992, and what seems to me now as a dress-up and a little cheap looks like a terrifying and appealing nightmare. I didn't know that Tim Burton would continue to make films to renew and gradually restore the aesthetics associated with him until he became a parody of himself. And I had no idea that after this movie, "Batman and Robin " The worst of all, that would stick to Francesca and leave a bad taste only for the Nolan Brothers to move.
I'm pretty sure nothing almost in this movie made me laugh as a kid. I treated him like a three-part suit--seriously. And now, the laughs that were heard in the audience were also in the right places, and in some places that were probably supposed to be sexy or sophisticated, and today they're a bit exaggerated, even with Burton. I do think that everyone who chose to leave the house in the cold and see this film was present in the courtroom and laughed in a good spirit — out of affection for a brand that still speaks to it. By the way, I don't think I've seen any kids in this screening. These are people who were exposed to Batman and this film when they were children themselves and now want to recreate the experience, or examine it.
And how did my test go? "Batman Returns" still tells a very good story. It has a Batman (still Michael Keaton) who seems much more balanced than his next cinematic incarnations, but the confusion in identities is already there. In this film he tries to deal with the Penguin (Dani DeVito in his life's appearance) – a monstrous man whose appearance at this stage of his life also attests to his inner character lines. He cooperates in half a half-squeeze with the local industrialist Max Shrek (the name of the actor who played the Vampire Oferatu) by Christopher Walken, whom I admit I managed to repress for some reason. Maybe the fact that he's an assassin at Selena Kyle (Michelle Pfeiffer) has called me too much as a child. The two villains, each painted in his own way, want to take over the city, when only offering the penguin to the mayor--while the same penguin also runs the Gothic and clown bullies that even terrorize terrorism.
At the same time, Selina Cale, Shrek's assistant discovers too much and pushes her out of the window. She rose from Katufat, and found a fierce aversion from furry dolls alongside spectacular sewing skills. She cooperates with the Penguin, but refuses his sexual harassment, and therefore almost pays for her life and goes through the party. If you think the Batman sounds a little bit more in this plot, it's quite true. Although it is his movie, but even though he plays a role in the Penguin's capture and that only, there is a good situation that Katuand would have managed and slay them all alone. And speaking of slaying, Batman is also there to try and be Kyle's moral compass. He and she embody the characters of each other's appearance, both in identical fragments, but while Bruce Wayne still thinks he is running Batman, Katufat is the one who decides, in large, with Selina Kyle. Her lust for vengeance and her emotional scars are much deeper than those of Wayne, or at least a lot fresher, and she cannot or does not want to stop herself from causing damage to those who hurt her.
She describes her situation, big, with the following Frazier: "Life is a bitch, and then I became one ". Her sexuality passed over my head on the first watch, and along with her I did not heed the sexism of the penguin, not only to her, but to almost every woman who is in some interaction with him. When he wears his own pin on a fan's garment lapel, the whole hall chuckles in discomfort. The film poses the attitude of the penguin to women, such as his attitude to Pisces — lacking inhibitions and rejects.
Even with a sober glance, "Batman Returns" is still a cinematic delight. Even if he had been pushed by clowns that the Jeep was very successful in the film that preceded him, and even if the armed penguins in his high-rise scenes are quite absurd today, he is very impressive, and looks like a cartoon world in the live-action, like a black-and-white film even though it is colorful, like a real anchored nightmare, with messages on corrupt politicians With questionable interests, women in power positions take advantage of them, and then they break up, and good guys at their base who don't know what to do with themselves in a crazy world, and some lose it themselves.
One thing that has not changed in my viewing experience since the first time is the feeling of misery and compassion toward the penguin when it comes to the grim end. Even if he deserved it, even if he was being horrible to most people around him, even if his monologue on the desire to be made again as a human being by the company is manipulative mumbo-jumbo, when he realizes that he has nothing left, he continues to be rewatering a black, repulsive mouth and falling into the water, alone, and only his penguins. , Hordes of sad penguins on his character – it still breaks my heart. And if you found yourself able to feel sorry for the villain in the story, it means a very good story. - DirectorRobert ZemeckisStarsTom HanksRobin WrightGary SiniseThe history of the United States from the 1950s to the '70s unfolds from the perspective of an Alabama man with an IQ of 75, who yearns to be reunited with his childhood sweetheart.Forrest Gump It's not just a cheesy movie, it's a movie that speaks of life and happiness.
Forrest Gump is a foolish man who comes to high achievements because of his innocence and stupidity, he does not see the world in a way that others see him, he does not understand him. He sacrificed everything on the way for the prostitute Jenny, and he does not realize that he does not have to be faithful to her anymore, unfortunately, only when Jenny is sick she matured and they lived together.
Tom Hanks shows up great, and whoever says that the game is a fake, it's the character of Forrest, naïve, stupid, and confused.
It is very convenient to say, "cheese" you'll know that what you call a "lame cheesy film" is actually what connects us to the movie, it's better to see it than to see a movie that doesn't connect to it but say it's a good movie because of poor parameters. - DirectorTom HooperStarsHugh JackmanRussell CroweAnne HathawayIn 19th-century France, Jean Valjean, who for decades has been hunted by the ruthless policeman Javert after breaking parole, agrees to care for a factory worker's daughter. The decision changes their lives forever. It is difficult to estimate the number of arrangements for cinema and television that has been made so far for the classic book of Victor Hugo "Les Misérables." But the current version of Tom Hooper ("The King's Speech") has some notable advantages that make it more sophisticated than past versions, making it an intelligent, complex and designed project that should not be missed.
The first notable benefit of the film is the work of being based on previous adaptations of the book for plays and opera. Without trying to reinvent the wheel, the film uses music and the great texts that have already proven themselves on the stage. The singing is reminiscent of the classics as "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg" and "The Disappearance of Jacques Demi". It is clear that the time has run out and to comply with the standards to which the viewers are today, the backdrops and choreographers in the "Les Misérables" is much more complicated for production, timing and execution, while maintaining maximum accuracy.
Beyond his full control of all means of production, Hooper made a courageous decision to demand his games to sing their roles while filming with fantastic quality instead of the conventional way: to record the songs separately in the studio conditions. And according to this, Jackman, Crowe, and Hathaway (though relatively small for theirs) – Perform marvelous work as singers, and so are the other members of the cast. Adherence to the construction of the situations and the correspondence of the imagined and illustrated texts, make the film consistent and coherent.
Danny Cohen's great photography, the design of the production in the hands of Yves Stewart's beliefs (both worked with Hooper in the "King's Speech") and the editing work of Chris Dickens provides some of this particular stylish work. Sasha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter, who plays the characters like the Diathas, are responsible for the few local sites in this heavy, serious, and exquisite Victorian era tale. - DirectorRidley ScottStarsMatt DamonJessica ChastainKristen WiigAn astronaut becomes stranded on Mars after his team assume him dead, and must rely on his ingenuity to find a way to signal to Earth that he is alive and can survive until a potential rescue.I finished watching a movie that's been said about him that he's the best of Ridley Scott since the Gladiator, "The Martian", released on 2015 and was nominated for seven Oscars without any winnings. First of all, I will start by saying that this is definitely Scott's best film since the Gladiator, and even his best of all time. Not that there is much where to compare, because this director of masterpieces provided during the twentieth-one century a lot of bad films. Here, I finally feel that Ridley Scott is back to being Ridley Scott. But I'm jumping too fast, let's start from the beginning:
The film tells the story of Mark Watney (Matt Damon), who was left behind on a mission on Mars and now must survive alone on the desolate and hollow star, when at the same time, the film follows the efforts of humanity to remove him from Mars safely back to Earth, and at the same time follows the team that abandoned him, and continued its task in space without knowing what was in Mark's fate. All these lines are connected to a huge claymore that delivers in terms of the film, it was worth waiting for the last half-hour, and I will not lie that I cried at the end of their mission (which, of course, wont be mentioned due to spoilers). Points for best and worse from the film:
I felt that the film was focusing too much on the image of Matt Damon. I understand that, he is the main character and he is the one who goes through the main process of the plot. But if you already split a movie into three different plot lines, isn't it better to give the appropriate stage to each of them simultaneously? One more thing that bothered me was that the movie felt very random and coincidental. It occurs over months of the narrative of the plot, making it extremely compact and cluttered, and still it feels as though some of the things only happen to save us the thinking of how to promote the plot, and instead of simply promoting it. I'm not saying where and why because these will be spoilers and it's a movie that's completely better to experience on a clean head.
Well, it's implied by what I'm writing here that I didn't like the movie, on the contrary! I loved him very much. His rhythm was true despite the density and congestion of the feature details, and Mark Watney's image while not feeling the most human and honest, but he is undoubtedly very interesting as a character and was fascinating to look at. All the actors here provided phenomenal acting displays, especially Matt Damon in the lead role and Jessica Chestain in his commander's subposition that abandoned him from behind. Mars looks very impressive and in general this movie is visually stunning, I loved that the Mars and loneliness of Mark were often presented around warm hues of colors (red yellow), and scenes from Earth or with human technology were exhibited in cold tones (blue and black). When Mark was entirely alone, he was the most sincere of himself and felt most comfortable, while the people who tried to extract him from his grandfather around their egos. This is a beautiful statement by Ridley Scott, and he has directed this whole thing to perfection through this decision of the contrast between the colors.
In summary - a heavy film and a little short in relation to what it had to be, but there is no doubt that it is an epic space adventure that is not afraid to talk to us in terms that we will not understand, and at the same time shows us amazingly human characters who are trying to save one non-human figure over an empty planet from humans. There's a nice screenwriter move here that Ridley Scott chooses to adopt here and I'm giving this movie 10/10. - DirectorGareth EdwardsStarsFelicity JonesDiego LunaAlan TudykIn a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction.Visually, the film completely draws us to the far-distant galaxy. In Disney, we will put the conclusions from "the power arises" and made sure to use computerized effects in the right places, for example in spectacular space battles between the rebels and the empire, or when a huge float hovers over a mountain city in the desert. The film is dolls and costumes in the form of aliens (just like in the original movies) which helps preserve the universe's favorite charm. You'll see exactly the same technology you saw in Star Wars from 1977, for example plastic buttons in the Death Star control room and even snow and interference on the screens. Here and there nonetheless the continuum broke as if with black and lethal cruiser soldiers, or new rebel spaceships like the wing. These are not in the following films, which breaks the sequence a little, but it will only interfere with the most phallic ones among us.
What will be interfering with everyone is the problematic characters. "Star Wars " is known for its colourful characters, such as Han Solo or Princess Leia, who display a lot of character and sensitivity. But also watching the three-dimensional characters in "kill one" left two-dimensional at best. Gene Março's background gives you a wealth of material you can work with – it was left alone after the empire killed her mother and kidnapped her father (don't worry, it happens right at the beginning of the film) — but stays like a poster of a tough warrior throughout the film, one we've seen a trillion times. Felicia Jones remains with the same frozen expression throughout the film, away from the emotional press that presented the charming ray of Daisy Ridley in "Power awakens." The pilot's image is also not interesting, to say the least, and it feels like a skadide in the rebels (as opposed to Han Solo for example) only with a Spanish accent. The evil that stands in front of them, Orsan Crenik (Ben Mendelssohn), is the standard and evil commander who came straight out of the Empire's assembly line. Those who save the gang is the K2SO robot, or K2 in short, a robot of the empire that reprogrammed to pass by the rebels and received in a cynical way with a healthy sense of irony. The Blind monk Churecht, played by the Hong Kong-star Donny Wine, also provides a more interesting figure. One who sees a lot in spite of his blindness, and demonstrates skills to fighting a Jedi even without a light sword. As for the well-known and familiar characters, they are not so part of this chapter. If the "Power Awakens" and "the Paris of the nostalgia gland," "Roger One" uses it as a fun seasoning. Not Nespeller, but it's creepy to hear again the night of James Earl Jones.
In terms of drama-action-humor, the film focuses mainly on the action. The rebels are emerging in the film as a much more violent organization than we thought when the pilot Endor kills at the beginning of the plot of man who may turn him in without thinking twice, and a radical faction of the rebels led by Sue Garrera (Forrest Whitaker) is a leader of a terrorist attack against the conquest of the empire in the middle of the desert planet (a familiar sound from somewhere?). The film also emphasizes the being of Death Star weapons of mass destruction in the possession of a superpower, which takes us a little back to the Cold War age and atomic threat. In contrast to war films that are examined in depth of the questions of morality and humanity in times of extreme violence, "Roger One/" deals only through the question of when the time comes to refuse an order, but does so in a relatively conservative manner.
"One Roger" manages to stay true to the brand without spoiling, away from the galactic disaster of the first three chapters. The stories of the series will enjoy another glimpse into the wondrous world of Star Wars, and finally have a rational explanation of how the hell the Star of death has a pretty dumb breach in security.
All in all? This is an excellent film that will satisfy the hungry fans of Star Wars. It is well-directed, well-written and provides more interesting and less intriguing characters. Is it a masterpiece? It is difficult to say unequivocally, in my eyes that you can call her that in some of her aspects, and this is one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life. - DirectorTaika WaititiStarsChris HemsworthTom HiddlestonCate BlanchettImprisoned on the planet Sakaar, Thor must race against time to return to Asgard and stop Ragnarök, the destruction of his world, at the hands of the powerful and ruthless villain Hela. The beginning of November brings the third and last film for this year from Marvel- "Thor: Ragnarok". The third movement, and better than its predecessors, in the epic of the Nordic Thunder.
The directing was deposited by the New Zealand director-Maori-Jewish Taika Watiti (or Taika Cohen – if you insist) that brings the production of the budget and effects to the sense of humor identified with his previous works. The "Thor: Ragnarok" is in a movie where the film demonstrates a lack of nonshanti interest seriously, and on the other, it is a sleek and budget-rich fantasy product.
Thor's being played by Chris Hemsworth began as a figure with a degree of royal arrogance (as well as the son of Odin) and a kind of innocence of those who do not know the human world. Where the director Kenneth Branagh saw the "Shakespeare" of Intriegas in the Asgardi Royal Court, and Waatiti is toying with the ridiculous of the characters.
In the family drama, which is used as a backdrop to the danger of destruction, Odin (Antony Hopkins) finishes his role as the leader of the Haskas. Loki (Tom Hiddleston), his brother, who is considered dead, is revealed to be very much. But the problem is not the relationship of Thor and Loki (which is already clearly aimed at keeping the balance of affection-rivalry), but the elder sister who now learn about its existence. He (Kate Blanchard) is the goddess of death, and his rebellious title comes with a desire to seize the place of Odin, and lead a journey of conquest throughout the universe.
The first showdown with Hela splits the film into two feature lines. In the first of the years, the occupation of Asgard is done by working the "simple people" and establishing the army to make its plans. It uses Scorpius (Karl Urban) The Asgardi fighter who replaces the Highpoint (Idris Alba) as the guard of the "Bifrost " Bridge, an Asgard gate that allows teleportation to different points in the universe. The occupation and the bondage process attracts time until the forces who can stand in front of it appear. In the meantime, you can have fun from the Balencht camp show.
Loki, who is surprisingly probabilistic, is also on the planet Sakar, managed to catch a rather comfortable place on the side of the Grandmaster. The fate of a very different Thor-he should take his place at the scene of the Grandmaster in front of the most glorious warrior he has. As it is known to anyone who has been looking at the trailer for more than half a second, it is the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo).
It seems that more than any battle is replaced by Marvel's super Heroes and the evil mast, the greatest satisfaction that these films offer are the Battles of the super heroes themselves. These are the most familiar and well-known figures on the viewers, they represent different abilities and are diagnosed, and the confrontation between them carries IEDs and features from previous films. So the violence that the Hulk operates on a line is a source without a few jokes (and to the best in the film "The Avengers" first).
All in all, a colorful, original and refreshing film in the inflatable genre of Super heroes, which takes up the appointment of the laboratories for medium-sized films to freedom of cinematic superiority. - DirectorAndrew StantonStarsBen BurttElissa KnightJeff GarlinIn the distant future, a small waste-collecting robot inadvertently embarks on a space journey that will ultimately decide the fate of mankind.

They must try to escape before the apparent emergence of a frightful new 24th.The first film surprise for the year 2017 is that director M. Knight Shamplan has managed to get under his hands a good movie theater that is fun to watch. Since 2006, he has created a series of "embarrassing" critical and economic failures that began with "Girl in water" and continued until the terrible film "the World After " starring Will Smith and his son. On the way, we had to endure the "Airbus: the Last Air bender," "The Day that happens," and the production of his mind is burning--"Satan." A semi-successful rehabilitation attempt was held in 2015 with "visit/" which was effective, but devoid of any common sense. It seems that despite the lack of thriller of the new "split/", which has a cost of $9 million, he may have been his best film since the year 2000.
The plot depicts Kevin's exploits, a schizophrenic patient that contains inside his body 23 different identities, when one of them kidnaps three girls and is in a dark cellar. Between him and Kevin, he fled to his lovely old psychiatrist's apartment, who was trying to help him but suspected that one of the less sympathetic identities had taken control of him.
James McKenna ("X-Men's", "Atonement/" etc.), playing Kevin, makes an impressive work especially in the main role and manages to create different characters and credibility within the same body. It should be noted that the old Betty Buckley who plays both the psychiatrist and the three young girls, Haley Lou Richardson, Anya Taylor-Joy and Jimmy Sula do their job well.
The surprise comes from the direction of the director, who is known to be not one of the most successful and economical filmmakers in Hollywood. Surprisingly, this film leans on a tight, precise script that contains a limited number of individual players and individuals, most of which are closed, allowing you to create a feeling of claustrophobia. The occurrence develops within the inner logic of the world of the film, and for a moment there is no sense that the cinematic product we watch is squeaking. In addition, although the film is limited only since the age of 13 and over, it has enough disturbing and simple moments that can arouse a lack of public care. It is not yet the movie "Do not Breathe" that left me throughout the film on the edge of the chair with an endless strain, but still it is a proper and effective product.
The opening captions remind Hitchcock's films, and the Tattler is completely reminiscent of the terrifying horror films of Brian De Palma ( "Dressed for murder/", "the short-bodied"), which he also created a dubious thriller about splitting a personality called "Seven Faces to Cain", but he may be the most horror film director Not erotic. Therefore, even when Kevin requires the girls to undress, they are still dressed and completely unsexually-devoid, just the opposite of a hitch and a-Palma. In front of us is a cinema man whose sex has not existed, but is a completely square child who cares more about the kidnapper of his personality and ulterior motives. This may be why, with respect to Shamlan, he will never reach the level of Hitchcock and A-Palma, because he is not bold, kicking, and extraordinary like them.
In the end, it is a film of shamanism and therefore it is impossible to escape from its need to cope with supernatural powers. The film contains an Apple social tone and raises subjects such as sexual exploitation of children and physical violence of parents towards children, not exactly subjects that Hollywood is dealing with in these kind of products designed for teenagers. The result, good and bad, is effective and ultimately surprising, because from the movie trailer and the history of the director, it was impossible to expect something good to grow from ' Split '. Even the end is surprisingly successful. In any case, he was happy and reminded me of the forgotten. - DirectorRobert EggersStarsRobert PattinsonWillem DafoeValeriia KaramanTwo lighthouse keepers try to maintain their sanity while living on a remote and mysterious New England island in the 1890s.This film is a form of psychological masterpiece. The cinema shown here is so different, along with suggestive hints and questions that add to the discomfort of the film. There are so many details in the design of the movie that are first viewed, I had to read online later to discover them. Everything was purposeful and accurate, even if you're not sure what the purpose of any scene and scene is, similar to movies like the "Spark." This film will teach, will be collected and picked up in the coming years, and I'm sure they will still not be able to decipher what he really says. The possible hallucinations of this film in front of what should be reality were inspired by old legends, and I cannot wait to discover the meaning and symbolism behind this film, if ever we discover it. A lot of the film is open to interpretation, because you can watch it in a superficial sense and enjoy it, from the huge game, the close-up script and the interesting narrative along with the directing of the Iggers, but there is definitely a metaphorical landscape that can be interpreted entirely differently. Once again, the writing and dialogue were completely spectacular, they made quite a lot of research on which characters should film use during the time period in which the film takes place. Photography and visuals were payers, all photographed in a form that causes discomfort and claustrophobia, there are so many fears and discomfort during viewing because it makes you feel like you're there. And that's from B... This movie really does a great job. In the performance of what isolation can do to someone. Robert Pattinson and the undisturbed King Willem Defoe-their best career performances. I have never seen such devotion to the role other than Phoenix in the jungle, they clearly had to go through a lot to make their performance compelling. This is a kind of film that has so many quotes that will remember later that almost every line that was spoken was pure gold. And I will see everything. It's a better movie than the best Jeep that came out this year, and one of the big three I saw. And the best part of me personally is that this movie feels like a classical episode of SpongeBob, but one with an adult rating that has a strong mental resilience. I got a feeling this movie's going to be a classic.
