Pacing is a little shotty but it picks up for it with the screenplay being out of this world.

This is not the Sandler you know, here he is the real deal. Watch his character dig himself further into the pit he is digging, and right when he’s about to get out watch him sink deeper. Even just watching you get stressed for him.

Elgort's character may be a bit far out but the support around him brings it in. Ending sequence one of the best.

Begins to show true natures of characters and uses an near impossible plot device correctly.
