Panic ensues as they are terrorized by three masked strangers who strike with no mercy and seemingly no motive.May 17, 2024.
I can’t believe I’m about to say this but Prey at Night was better. - DirectorWes BallStarsOwen TeagueFreya AllanKevin DurandMany years after the reign of Caesar, a young ape goes on a journey that will lead him to question everything he's been taught about the past and make choices that will define a future for apes and humans alike.May 10, 2024.
If only this had the momentum and high octane action sequences that the Maze runner movies had. Don’t get me wrong this movie is the best Wes Ball has ever done, but those movies had action sequences that were at a break neck speed that never slowed the movie down. This does have moments to slow down which isn’t too bad but it did feel to drag on for a bit without any wow to go along with it. Other than that this movie is a nice return that I can’t wait to see more of. Also movies are just ending in cliffhangers left and right. It sucks. - DirectorDavid LeitchStarsRyan GoslingEmily BluntAaron Taylor-JohnsonA down-and-out stuntman must find the missing star of his ex-girlfriend's blockbuster film.May 3, 2024.

I hated it. - DirectorJerry SeinfeldStarsIsaac BaeJerry SeinfeldChris RickettIn 1963 Michigan, business rivals Kellogg's and Post compete to create a cake that could change breakfast forever.May 3, 2024.
Holy shit this was bad. I know this year has been bad but holy crap this takes the fucking cake. - DirectorMichael ShowalterStarsAnne HathawayNicholas GalitzineElla RubinSolène, a 40-year-old single mom, begins an unexpected romance with 24-year-old Hayes Campbell, the lead singer of August Moon, the hottest boy band on the planet.May 2, 2024.
Two pieces of shit released the same weekend. This and Unfrosted. This is at least better than Unfrosted. But by one whole number. I have that one a flat out 1. This will get a measly little 2. Just awful really. I like Michael Showwalter but this is just isn’t it man. Nothing was really funny but I don’t think it is supposed to be a comedy, and the romance is fine. At least this did a go for broke idea of an older woman with a younger guy. But man why do they always have to be famous. It is always the same shit. And it ends exactly like all the rest of the modern romantic films have been ending. Just sucks man. - DirectorLuca GuadagninoStarsMike FaistJosh O'ConnorZendayaTashi, a former tennis prodigy turned coach, turned her husband into a champion. But to overcome a losing streak, he needs to face his ex-best friend and Tashi's ex-boyfriend.April 26, 2024.
- DirectorJenny PopplewellStarsFernando BaldassiniSamantha ChangAlan CookeWhen Jennifer Pan calls 911 to report that her parents have been shot, she becomes the primary focus of a captivating criminal case.It wasn’t that crazy. It was just okay. But there is still some great docs on Netflix about true crime that is full blown amazing. This just isn’t it.
- DirectorMatt Bettinelli-OlpinTyler GillettStarsMelissa BarreraDan StevensAlisha WeirAfter a group of criminals kidnap the ballerina daughter of a powerful underworld figure, they retreat to an isolated mansion, unaware that they're locked inside with no normal little girl. This movie sucks. You know what I’m not even going to put dates anymore maybe who knows but this movie wasn’t all that hot.
- DirectorGuy RitchieStarsHenry CavillAlan RitchsonAlex PettyferThe British military recruits a small group of highly skilled soldiers to strike against German forces behind enemy lines during World War II.April 19, 2024.
- DirectorZack SnyderStarsSofia BoutellaDjimon HounsouEd SkreinKora and surviving warriors prepare to defend Veldt, their new home, alongside its people against the Realm. The warriors face their pasts, revealing their motivations before the Realm's forces arrive to crush the growing rebellion.April 19, 2024.
2 stars only for Sofia and Bea Doona. But even tho I think this is possibly Snyder’s worst film he still is single handily the greatest director to have ever be handed a camera. - DirectorPhilip MartinStarsBillie PiperGillian AndersonRufus SewellHow the BBC obtained the bombshell interview with Prince Andrew about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.April 5, 2024.
I wish I liked this more. But it isn’t that bad. I just felt really underwhelmed into a story that I already know so much about because this type of news is easily accessible that it truly isn’t a surprise or whatever else some of this comes off as. Look at Air sure it is something that can easily be fluxed and changed for the type of story it is telling and here is this put slot a into slot b movie that doesn’t offer much aside from the opening ten minutes before the title drops. Now that is how you film a scene like that. - DirectorRudy MancusoStarsRudy MancusoCamila MendesFrancesca RealeA coming-of-age love story that follows an aspiring creator with synesthesia, who must come to terms with an uncertain future, while navigating the pressures of love, family, and his Brazilian culture in Newark, New Jersey.April 4, 2024.
Gotta support my people even if Betty or is this Veronica whatever she is not the red head so it doesn’t matter. Plus my people aren’t even this movie. Also it is no tick, tick… Boom! But it is pretty close and I don’t mind the abruptness of some of the choices. And I’ll say this there is actually a lot to like here. A main character who isn’t an asshole, sure annoying but he goes to school has ambitions and dreams but a character flaw that I think a lot of men can relate to main character syndrome. And here is a director and the lead letting out exactly what they dreamed up. Along with letting the movie settle before dropping the reason why this guy drifts off. But again it isn’t based on being a jerk it is how this character is dealing with something like he does. It ain’t a bad what seems to be a plot line Joker 2 is going to deal with. But here is a very comical and heartfelt way of looking at life. So yeah I dug it. - DirectorAlex GarlandStarsKirsten DunstWagner MouraCailee SpaenyA journey across a dystopian future America, following a team of military-embedded journalists as they race against time to reach DC before rebel factions descend upon the White House.April 12, 2024.
Sure I like the approach but the whole entire horror aspect of what this could happen is only enough for me to pump it up to a 3. Seriously 3 is for those movies that have all style and no substance. That’s fine don’t pick a side, don’t pick a why, or do anything like that. Which again is fine but those type of movies are just not for me. I’m glad if you all are really digging this movie but for me if you are going to tell a fictional telling of a American Civil War then I’m sorry but for me I require a lot more than just a fly on the wall perspective of this kind of story.
3/10 - DirectorDev PatelStarsDev PatelSharlto CopleyPitobashAn anonymous young man unleashes a campaign of vengeance against the corrupt leaders who murdered his mother and continue to systematically victimize the poor and powerless.April 5, 2024.
- DirectorAdam WingardStarsRebecca HallBrian Tyree HenryDan StevensTwo ancient titans, Godzilla and Kong, clash in an epic battle as humans unravel their intertwined origins and connection to Skull Island's mysteries.March 28, 2024.
Give Wingard a chance to make his next big horror idea. I know he wants to do Thundercats and maybe he could kill it but I would love for him to make another horror film that he sink his teeth into because this guy has made some great work and him reteaming up with Dan Stevens again after they worked great in The Guest was so nice to see him here. Seriously what a great role for him. The movie is just fine. However I will say they do give more personality to these two behemoths. Kong is lonely and seeks a family after learning he is the last of his kind, and Godzilla to me actually has an arc here as well. It ain’t groundbreaking but Godzilla learning to not become this big walking destruction that kills everything in its path to actually join forces and work together was something nice to see. And for good reason as to why Godzilla is the way he is because if you know your Godzilla history he has every reason to reek havoc on the world that woke him up now we have to reek the outcome because of it. Which is why I am never really on anti Godzilla train. Of course because of humans I am picking Kong but Godzilla has every right to be somewhat upset. Plus he believes that this is his home and he wants to do whatever he wants because he is the best of the best. He isn’t just powerful but he is power. Kong knows his place and I like that this movie absolutely shows the difference between the two. It just sucks that we above the surface do have Godzilla but I wish this movie or even the previous movies did at least make an attempt to convey that we are trying to understand why Godzilla is the way he is. It really would make these movies so much better. I hope whatever sequel spawns out of Godzilla Minus One they do open that gate and go into full throttle. For now we have to deal with crap like this. Eh naw it ain’t that bad.
7/10 - DirectorArkasha StevensonStarsNell Tiger FreeRalph InesonSonia BragaA young American woman is sent to Rome to begin a life of service to the church, but encounters a darkness that causes her to question her faith and uncovers a terrifying conspiracy that hopes to bring about the birth of evil incarnate.April 5, 2024.

- DirectorJeff WadlowStarsDeWanda WiseTaegen BurnsPyper BraunA woman returns to her childhood home to discover that the imaginary friend she left behind is very real and unhappy that she abandoned him.March 8, 2024.
- DirectorDoug LimanStarsJake GyllenhaalDaniela MelchiorConor McGregorEx-UFC fighter Dalton takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems.March 21, 2024.
Just good enough. It had some cool fight scenes and I do love that Connor McGregor is not playing himself. He is basically playing the wolf from Pulp Fiction and those are always my favorite type of characters. Those who come in and do the work. And he excelled at it. A little too long with almost a lot of unnecessary characters and plot points that really didn’t need to be there. Not even the property side of it all was that much of a bother and a nice change. I like that as compared to another bar or something like that to be the main antagonist figure. So yeah it was fun. - DirectorKobi LibiiStarsJustice SmithZachary BartonAnthony CoonsA young man, Aren, is recruited into a secret society of magical Black people who dedicate their lives to a cause of utmost importance: making white people's lives easier.March 15, 2024.
If only it delivered on that premise. Then we really would have been cooking with something. In the landscape of up and coming features, shows, series, and an abundance amount of material out there that is making waves, here comes a film that deprives itself on roles African Americans play in this society could have been nice. Maybe this dude is just shy and an introvert. While yes race does play a big part of it especially young black males it is a slog to get to watch a character like this for a majority of screen time. No real new ideas or even any good ones really here. A sad disappointment of a movie where I genuinely wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. But I truly have nothing nice to say about the movie.
