Born in a very small community in the mid west Roy had no other contact to his dream of becoming a cinematographer than through the local theater and the Los Angeles phone directory. He would recall the names of cinematographers as they appeared on their films and call them blindly to talk with them about their work. Many of them were so suprised by this young man's ambition and interest that they took him under their wing, mentoring him. When he arrived in Los Angeles he spent every moment with them on their sets and homes learning as much about them and their work as he could. Because of this he was able to meet and befriend many of the greatest cinematographers in Hollywood. His key mentor was Harry Stradling Sr. Through him he developed friendships with Joseph Ruttenberg, George Folsey, James Wong Howe, Leon Shamroy, Frank Phillipd, Leonard South, and many many others. In the late 70s he began a life long process of interviewing cinematographers on video tape or film. A deep reverence for all that is old Hollywood remains a great part of his life and the memory of the behind the scene stories told him as a young man is an important basis for his life and work.- Actor

Born Luigi Montefiori in 1942 near Genoa, Italy, the future actor provided artwork for various advertising agencies in Genoa before moving to Rome in 1966. Though he intended to further his art career, he became involved with a crowd of film people who urged him to put his good looks to advantage in the movies. Parts in Italian westerns soon followed, usually under the pseudonym "George Eastman". (He once reportedly missed out on a role in a Franco Nero western because his height made Franco Nero look too short.) Never quite "typed", the actor soon moved into other film genres playing good guys, bad guys, and good-bad guys. These parts often exploited his athletic physique by having him remove his shirt, perhaps most memorably in Lina Wertmüller's _Belle Starr (1968) where he suffered through a memorable torture scene involving a boot-spur. However, a few parts in English-language films, such as Charlton Heston's _Call of the Wild, The (1972)_ failed to significantly broaden his appeal. He also began to write or collaborate on scripts and in 1989 he directed his first movie: _DNA Formula Letale (1989)_. Details on his private life are sketchy but some sources indicate that he's the father of a daughter.- Actor

Proud and passionate Angle, Pat Roach, was born and raised in Birmingham, England and grew to be a mountain of a man standing at six feet, five inches tall, with doorway-wide shoulders and a barrel chest.
Pat wrestled competitively under the name of "Bomber" Roach, and at one time held both the British and European Heavyweight Wrestling Championships. While still in the wrestling game, Roach broke into acting with a bit part in the Stanley Kubrick film Barry Lyndon (1975). He quickly became popular as an enforcer or warrior figure and appeared on-screen with some of Hollywood's biggest names. Many people would remember him as the muscle-bound, bald German guard who hands out a beating to Harrison Ford in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), before being cut down by a spinning plane propeller.
In other film roles, Roach nearly eliminates 007 Sean Connery in the Bond film Never Say Never Again (1983), in dual roles as a resurrected demon and as a fierce warrior, he fought Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Conan sequel Conan the Destroyer (1984), and was back as a ferocious Indian guard pummeling poor Harrison Ford once again in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), before falling into a rock crusher.
He also appeared in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), Red Sonja (1985) and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (1991). Apart from his film activity, Pat ran a gymnasium in Birmingham, operated a used appliance business in the local markets and was known as a warm-hearted and genial man who was happy to chat with admiring fanatics, sign autographs and pose for photographs.
Roach was also very popular with English television audiences for his portrayal of gentle giant "Brian 'Bomber' Busbridge" in the series Auf Wiedersehen, Pet (1983) and was scheduled to appear in the fifth series of the show, when he died of cancer on July 17, 2004. He was 67 years old.- Actor

Alexander Johan Hjalmar Skarsgård was born in Stockholm, Sweden and is the eldest son of famed actor Stellan Skarsgård. Among his siblings are actors Gustaf Skarsgård, Bill Skarsgård, and Valter Skarsgård. For most of his formative years, his father was an acclaimed actor in Europe but had not yet achieved the international fame that came after his star turn in Breaking the Waves (1996). Young Alexander was raised under modest circumstances in a working-class Swedish neighborhood as his parents wanted their children to have as normal an upbringing as possible. He began his acting career at the age of eight and continued working in films and on Swedish television until he turned sixteen and decided acting was not the career for him. Life under a microscope lost its charm and perhaps due to the influence of My Skarsgård, his physician mother, he stopped working as an actor, to continue his education.
Instead of continuing college, at the age of nineteen, he entered compulsory military service (military conscription). He used the time to contemplate his future. He studied at the Leeds Metropolitan University then moved to New York where he enrolled at Marymount Manhattan College to study theatre. After six months in New York, a romantic entanglement lured him back to Sweden but the relationship was short-lived. Despite having a broken heart, Alexander decided to stay in Sweden and, with a bit of life experience under his belt, began his acting career again. He appeared in a number of Swedish productions and became a star in his native country but was interested in broadening his horizons and working outside of Sweden. A visit to Los Angeles landed him both an agent and a part in the Ben Stiller movie, Zoolander (2001). After that Alexander returned to Sweden where he continued honing his acting in film and theatrical productions including "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" and "Bloody Wedding". He also co-wrote and co-directed an award-winning short, Att döda ett barn (2003), (To Kill a Child), which was shown at both the Tribeca and Cannes Film Festivals.
His first big break was with the miniseries Generation Kill (2008). Alexander spent seven months broiling in the desert of Namibia but it was well worth it. His portrayal of Marine Sgt. Brad "Iceman" Colbert astonished critics and audiences, alike. Thanks to the writer's strike, after completing Generation Kill (2008), he was cast in the role of "Eric Northman", a 1,000-year-old Viking vampire on the hit series, True Blood (2008). The series was created by Alan Ball, the man behind Six Feet Under (2001). True Blood (2008) was adapted from the "Sookie Stackhouse' novels by Charlaine Harris' and rode to success on quality scripts, great acting and the public's obsession with the vampire genre. In addition to True Blood (2008), which begins its third season in 2010, Alexander has a number of film projects in the works including the remake of Straw Dogs (2011), Melancholia (2011), written and directed by Lars von Trier, action Sci-Fi film, Battleship (2012), and The East (2013), directed by Zal Batmanglij.- Music Department

Easily the best known actor/martial artist during the 1980s ninja cinema craze, Kosugi was a proficient martial artist & skilled weapons performer which was highlighted in his several starring roles.
Kosugi grew up as the youngest child and only son of a Tokyo fisherman, and began his martial arts training at the age of five studying karate at a local dojo. Sho expanded upon his martial arts studies, also learning judo & kendo, and by his 18th birthday he had achieved the status of All Japan Karate Champion. Intent on entering the world of international finance, Sho left Japan at only 19 years old to study and reside in Los Angeles, USA where he achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, yet he also remained focused on constantly improving his martial arts skills. Throughout the early 1970s, Sho competed in hundred's of martial arts tournaments & demonstrations including winning the L.A. Open in 1972, 1973 & 1974. In addition, he also met a young Chinese woman named Shook, who was eventually to become his wife and mother of his children, plus Sho had his first foray into the cinema with part's in a minor Taiwanese film titled "The Killers", and then in a Korean production, shot in Los Angeles known as "The Stranger From Korea".
Sho's big break came in 1981 when karate legend Mike Stone pitched a screenplay under the title of "Dance of Death" to Cannon Films. Cannon was at the time, a lackluster production house that had two years prior been purchased by film producer cousins Menahem Golan & Yoram Globus. The innovative cousins quickly turned Cannon into a profitable key player in the independently produced film market by latching onto topics popular to the youth market, having rapid shooting schedules, relatively unknown casts and tight budgets. Menehem Golan once remarked that he believed it was impossible to lose money on a film shot for the US market with a budget of under $5 million!!
Cannon Films backed Stone's screenplay and the title was changed to _Enter The Ninja (1981)_ starring Franco Nero, Christopher George & Susan George with filming completed in the Phillipines in early 1981. Sho's role was as the evil black ninja "Hasegawa", and his icy screen presence and martial arts skills grabbed the attention of martial arts film fans, and ignited the huge fascination with ninjitsu that engulfed martial arts for the next decade. With the financial success of their first "ninja" film, Cannon readily backed a further ninja movie, only this time Sho was elevated to being the star of the film and had become a good guy!! Revenge of the Ninja (1983) was shot in Salt Lake City, Utah in late 1982 and featured Sho as a ninja master forced to flee from Japan to America with his only surviving son, after the rest of his family are butchered by opposing ninjas's. Launching into an art importing business with an American business partner, Sho finds out too late that his partner is also a ninja, importing drugs hidden in Sho's Japanese dolls. The second film outstripped the first on box office takings, and Sho Kosugi was now the hottest star in martial arts cinema!
Based on those booming ticket sales, Cannon were once again happy to back another ninja movie, and in late 1983 shooting commenced in Phoenix, Arizona on Ninja III: The Domination (1984). The plot line however, was a rather strange affair, with the spirit of dead ninja possessing the body of dance instructor Christie (played by Solid Gold dancer Lucinda Dickey)......it was a misguided attempt by Cannon to combine ninjutsu with the 80s break dancing craze and horror movies about possession. None the less, fans didn't seem to mind, and the third installment in Cannon's ninja trilogy did reasonable business at the box office.
Kosugi then starred in the short lived action TV series _"The Master" (1984)_ alongside legendary screen bad guy 'Lee van Cleef', before going onto star in several more ninja films, including taking on Mafia thugs in the bloody Pray for Death (1985), stopping terrorists as a ninja commando in Nine Deaths of the Ninja (1985) and as a ninja secret agent taking on "the Muscles from Brussels" Jean-Claude Van Damme in the military adventure Black Eagle (1988).
However, by 1990 the US movie going public had grown tired of a decade of black clad ninja's hurling shuriken's and swords at each other, and Sho Kosugi left Hollywood to venture back to Japan where he became involved in numerous TV productions again centered around martial arts. In 1992, Kosugi starred in his biggest budgeted movie to date, a samurai epic titled _Journey of Honor (1992)_ also featuring screen legends Toshirô Mifune and Christopher Lee. Since then, Kosugi has remained very active in Japanese TV, was involved in contributing martial arts choreography for the highly popular Sony Playstation game "Tenchu; Stealth Assassins", plus he returned to Hollywood in the late 1990s to set up the Sho Kosugi Institute to assist Asian actors wishing to break into the mainstream US film market.
Undeniably, many of the ninja films featuring Sho Kosugi were marred by low budgets & cheap production....however his superb martial arts skills and captivating on screen presence have assured him a unique place in the history of martial arts cinema, and his name has become synonymous with the art of ninjitsu.- Actor

Nick James charges life. It's the only way he knows how to live. A Californian by way of Cleveland, Nick maneuvers through the world like a sun kissed Tom Joad, leaving each person and project he tackles forever changed by his singular wit and wisdom. Nick's first big break in Hollywood came in the form of a projectionist job at a local Santa Monica movie theater. He watched "American Gigolo" 218 times and boldly decided to become a Westside Hot Boy. After scoring a meeting with a local pimp named Skittles on The Santa Monica Pier, his formal training began. Nick lasted a total of 72 hours before he realized he had neither the heart nor the stomach to pump real cash out on the streets. Naturally, he became an actor instead. An initial meeting with Universal Studios President, Casey Silver promised big opportunities until Nick told him "when I need your advice, I'll call YOU!" Nick has said, "I could teach a college course on what NOT to do in the movie business." Following a handful of appearances in atomic box office bombs like "Hard Evidence" and "Absolute Force", Nick had an epiphany that would alter the course of his life forever, "I'm not a hero, I'm a man". Insight like this could only be reflected in the mind of one kind of individual... A Writer/Director. Nick, aka "NickyNik", was a trailblazer in the once untapped universe of YouTube in the early aughts. He became the 3rd most subscribed comedian on the platform garnering millions of views while performing regularly at The Comedy Store. His early films have won awards and screened at Film Festivals around the world. His limitless curiosity and fearless approach towards his craft molded him into a raconteur of the purist variety... One with nothing to lose. Nick has been a valet parker, boxcar hobo, bartender, professional break dancer and even celebrated a stint as a Japanese Supermodel. All this to make his work uncompromisingly visceral. Drifting through the sunlight and examining the human spirit, Nick crafted his tales as only a true writer can, by living them. His latest film, "The Cereal Killer's Checklist," is a think piece about the world's least qualified murderers and why true ignorance remains the best kept secret of the bloodthirsty. Nick lives with his wife and son in Santa Monica embodying a postcard version of the California dream.- Actor

My resume on IMDb
John Birmingham loves God and Jesus more than anyone. We human beings love God first before anyone, where all the love on earth comes from, God. Then, those of us who are righteous love Jesus after God. Then we love and honor our husband or wife who God brought us together with, or if we are not married we love our mother and father after God and Jesus. John loves God, Jesus and his children Rowan, Ivan and Ayla and has done his best to raise them when they at times lived in different cities. John Birmingham is a filmmaker, musician and actor. He is really good at both the creative and technical side of making movies, music and videos. He is the best as a screenwriter and actor and one who has creative control of a movie. He also writes his own original music. He has written, directed and played the lead in 3 of his original independent movies, 55 films and music videos and more than 2000 videos online as an actor or video creator with about 132 million views, including 12 million views on his personal Youtube channel. John grew up in Roanoke, Virginia, where he lived for God and Jesus and pursued music, art, writing and filmmaking throughout childhood. John was privileged by God with everything good that ever happened to him. John worked hard to star in or direct films and videos with Ed Asner, Pauly Shore and hundreds of other famous people and friends who have been successful in entertainment. At age 19, when the Bible says is still the age of a child, John moved to Los Angeles on his own to pursue entertainment industry work. While in Los Angeles, John worked as a Production Designer for Full Moon Pictures, Tempe Entertainment and worked on many indy and big budget films, was producer, writer, director of films, and he graduated Chapman University with a M.F.A. in Film Production in 2005 and Loyola Marymount University with a B.A. in Screenwriting in 2000. At Chapman University John wrote/directed/produced his first feature film that he also starred in, One Nation Under God, that was retitled Crazy Animal. One of John's short films, Tir Nan Og, that he produced and edited, won a Young Artist award in 2002 alongside Frankie Muniz, and Shia LeBouf was there to accept the award on his behalf, Rupert Grint from Harry Potter, and Hillary Duff won an award that year as well as all other studio movies won awards besides our film that won a Jackie Coogan award for best short film. It was a real red carpet award ceremony where the film's director, Danica DeCosto, who John married, accepted the award on stage, and all other films that won awards were studio movies. A higher budget short film he produced, production designed and edited, Imagination, also was screened at dozens of international film festivals and won awards in the early 2000s while John was living in Los Angeles. After John did a bunch of movies in Los Angeles, he settled back to his home town in Virginia where he got married to Danica DeCosto and had 3 children, Rowan, Ivan and Ayla. Together his children Rowan, Ivan and Ayla have more than a billion views on Youtube on regular widescreen videos, not the trendy newer vertical videos less than 60 seconds. Before moving home to Virginia in 2005, John edited the film Imagination back in his early 20s in the early 2000s and it finished on a 35mm print to play in theaters before movies had switched to video projection. Most of being in L.A. John spent going to school. He also worked as a production designer and many other jobs on movies in L.A., mostly indy films, some high budget with A-list actors, a SAG movie John was producer on, Plan 9, the remake of Ed Wood's Plan 9 From Outerspace by writer director John Johnson that stars Brian Krause, a cameo role by John Birmingham as "Butch," and many other celebrities like The Angry Video Game Nerd. That movie was released in Walmart stores everywhere and most store where you can buy movies in across the world and in the United States in 2015. After working on movies for God and going to film schools in L.A. from 1997 to 2005, John returned to his home town in Virginia in 2005 to marry Danica DeCosto and have 3 children, Rowan Birmingham and Ivan Birmingham and later, Rowan and Ivan's baby sister Ayla DeCosto was born. Rowan, Ivan and Ayla are stars with John and Danica in videos on her Youtube page, where they have all received a great deal of attention, between 4 million and 40 million views per month as of November of 2014 to today. John conceived and stars in Danica's biggest internet video, "Rowan is terrified of Ronald McDonald," which has more than 63 million views as of summer of 2023, more views than Elon Musk's biggest video in 2022. John's work in video and films was also featured on many other channels like Looper's channel with more than 5.7 million subscribers on Youtube and talked about John's movie The Vampires of Zanzibar when they were talking about Jackass actor Brandon DiCamillo in this video that at one time had 20,000,000 views titled "Where is the cast of Jackass now?" that was the biggest Jackass idea online at one time. John's work in videos and movies has also been talked about in many of the biggest ghost Youtube channels like Bizarre Bub with 1.71 million subscribers in their "Scary Comp. V50" video that talks about John and his son Rowan and Danica when his son Rowan saw a ghost as a baby in 2008, in a video that got more than 4 million views. John's work in film and videos is featured many other places in videos online, and of course he wrote, directed, produced and was lead actor in real movies that played film festivals like Troma Dance, were on the home page of Slamdance's website (John's animated short film "Willis"), screened for film exhibitors and buyers by Troma Entertainment at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France (John's films Crazy Animal and Rednecks with Troma Entertainment). John Birmingham is best known for his work writing/directing/producing/starring in/editing and composing the musical numbers for three feature films: Crazy Animal, The Vampires of Zanzibar and Rednecks. John has acted in or been a part of producing dozens of other films, for his filmmaker friends Johnny Johnson of Darkstone Entertainment, Mariah Johnson, Cory Greer, Tracy Lee Staton, Derek Young, Mat and Myron Smith and others. John's feature film The Vampires of Zanzibar that he created with the intent of being a masterpiece film to get his films and acting to the A-list level that he produced right after believing in God with all his soul again and God let him make that movie right after John had found God again at the end of 2006 and God helped him to quit being a real estate agent and make another movie instead with the money he had saved. God had been depressed as a real estate agent in a small town not getting to make movies, and he cried one day in front of the mirror and asked God to please make all the bad feeling go away, and by a miracle John had talked to God and asked him for something for the first time since maybe John was a child, and God listened! God let John quit being a real estate agent and make a movie with the money John had saved. The Vampires of Zanzibar was made by a miracle of God. Of course the movie has sin in it like anything else human beings create on earth, but it was made with a good intent and was a miracle God let John make another movie then, was not easy for John to produce, every detail of the film and responsibility of the film was up to John to get filmed Nan done right, and John would not have been able to create that amazing movie if it was not for the help of the amazing cast and crew, and by a miracle the entire movie got filmed and then he got to edit it and do all post production himself and a work of art was created by John and the cat and crew, The Vampires of Zanzibar, a gift to all of us from God. You can watch trailers of that movie online and John is looking for distribution for the film. His other two feature films, Rednecks and Crazy Animal were distributed by Troma Entertainment. Those 3 movies are real movies that John worked on full time for about 12 years to make those 3 feature length movies. John also has about 100 other feature length videos that may be distributed as kind of reality genre "content" films that John spent a year or two to produce all 100 of those feature length kind of documentaries and is planning to distribute all of his films and videos more now that he made it back from Los Angeles as of Jan 1. 2024. John mostly paid the bills working in real estate, though his Ronald McDonald video that went huge, with total monetized views and subscribers Danica and John got from the video, that one video earned maybe as much as $200,000 for Danica and John. John's feature films sold an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 copies. Working with his mom and dad in real estate funded all three of his feature films, other films, 42 original music videos, also another 2000 or more videos he produced. He had to work way hard on homes from 2005 to 2023, was not easy, had to make up for not working as hard when younger starting in 2015 and wasn't able to put much of a budget into many new films since his last Virginia indy film productions in 2013 (Rednecks) and Animals From Outerspace album and music videos in 2014. He put some budget into his video productions after that and some of his best work in videos and music was filmed after that. John is moving to Los Angeles to act in and write and maybe later be filmmaker of bigger budget original films and other films that other people do where he is an actor. John will continue filming videos unless God has a different plan for any one of us, and God knows that and none of us know what will happen from day to day, but John wants to live a long and good feeling life after what he feels was a difficult time away from his wife and kids and with his videos and films not earning as much money as he would like to and a relentless effort on homes that he feels he didn't get that much money for. John feels he has something to look forward to in Los Angeles with his wife and kids there working in the entertainment industry. No one had really worked in the entertainment industry becoming as big of a celebrity as John and his wife and kids did besides John and his wife and kids. Was not like he was born into an entertainment industry family, but he was raised playing music and being an artist like painting and drawing. John has written, recorded, performed and produced more than 40 music videos. A great deal of John's work can be seen on his Youtube page. John taught himself to sing in his mid twenties and was taught art beginning in childhood by his grandmother who was one of the first female graduates from Pratt's art school in the 1930s. John is a genius using Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro, which he has been using since the year 2000 on Macintosh Computers. Before that he edited on many other editing machines, PC and non-linear editing and also used "Paint" graphic design and art programs since the early 90s. John has filmed thousands of videos and at least roughly recorded more than 200 original songs with a few albums professionally produced that he recorded and produced himself as of 2023. His greatest greatest love are God and Jesus, and on earth he loves Danica and his children Rowan, Ivan and Ayla (he also loves family and friends much more so than any of his work in film or music).- Actor

Carvin Knowles was born in Long Beach, California. At the age of 6, his family moved to Oklahoma, where as a teenager, he became involved in the New Orleans-Tradition Marching Brass Band, "The T-Connection," playing funk and soul. Carvin took his BMA in Music Composition from the University of Oklahoma in 1988, where he studied composition under film composer Michael Hennagin (Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea and Lost in Space) and Early Music under Dr. Eugene Enrico. Inspired by the movie scores of Bernard Herrman, Erich Wolfgang Korngold, Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams, Carvin flew to Hollywood the week after his graduation to compose music for film. After years of struggle trying to break into the industry, he began producing albums for Oglio Records, a label dedicated to preserving the music of the '70s and '80s. Carvin was a contributing writer and producer for Oglio recording artists "Sex-O-Rama," who perform '70s-style funk with lots of wah-wah guitar grooves and "a bit too much bass." His production of "Porno-Style-Grooves" was so convincing that even his own mother believed that he was writing music for adult films. Despite the effect it had on Carvin's reputation, "Sex-O-Rama II" caught the attention of Paul Weitz, who directed "American Pie." At the beginning of his film scoring career, Carvin was regarded as the go-to guy for any job that seemed too difficult, strange or controversial for other composers. While his first real break came with American Pie, his range has included Orchestral Score, Jazz, House, Jungle, Lounge, Dub, Breakbeat, Indie Rock, Blues, Ancient Music, World Music and, of course Funk. His love of controversy and his eclectic range led him to score Th!nkFilm's important 2005 documentary "F*ck" which explored issues of Freedom of Speech in Bush's America. Carvin's music has appeared in over 25 feature films and a half-dozen documentaries. In 2008, Carvin moved from Hollywood to New Zealand, where he has written music for several episodes of Sir Peter Jackson's thehobbitblog.com.- Actor

Born on April 12th, 1978 to Roque "Rocky" (Father) and Rolee' (Mother) [having proud heritage and origins within the Sioux Nation, and Ooglala Tribe], James Azrael was destined to enter the music industry. At the age of six, "The Rev," as he's often referred to now, began his musical prowess with the piano, but promptly moved on to become the solo upright bass-player for his school's orchestra at the age of nine. By the time junior high rolled around, much to the chagrin of his parents, James was drawn to the electric guitar, and began his new journey, his calling, in 1991. In 1992, James wrote his first song, "Welcome To Hell," which was recorded for the first time, in a professional studio, in 1996. It took another 7-years to become James' vision he had 11-years prior. It was released in 2003 on Court Jester's debut album, "GINA" [Cellar Records]. For the last thirteen years, James has composed (music & lyrics) and arranged nearly 95% of Court Jester's published library of songs; and lest we not forget...Court Jester's rhythm/lead guitarist. And in 2003, they released their debut album (encompassing a decade of songs James had written), "Gina," drew critical acclaim for their efforts and had put the band on the map. Their sophomore album, "Stangeland" was released in January 2006 and featured Dizzy Reed of Guns N' Roses on piano and Hammond C2 Organ. The album quickly gained popularity, with the help of the notorious Howie Rosen, and landed the group two hit singles -"Hollywood Girl" and "Needless to Say" respectively - which ranked highly among two separate formats & audience demographics (Rock & Adult Contemporary). In addition to his successful musical career, James has also dabbled into the Film/TV Industry. James appeared in the a 2003 major network & cable commercial campaign for WAHL, Inc. alongside UFC Heavyweight Champion, Andrei Arlovski; James currently endorses WAHL, Inc.'s line of Beard Trimmers. He was producer for the award-winning 2007 feature film "Farewell Darkness (winner of such prestigious awards as: 'Best Feature Film' at the Drake International (Italy) and Del Ray Beach Film Festivals, respectively. James is no stranger to the lens' eye either. You may spot him in such titles: "The Birthday Card," "Common Senses," "The Break-Up," "Roscoe Village," and more. Additionally, James is making a name for himself as a composer since his debut for the highly respected, revered and award-winning 2006 short-film "Soldier;" Film Threat Magazine wrote, "...['Soldier'] is the second best unseen movie of 2006!" Some may still remember James from his days as a Chicagoland radio (1992-2001); working alongside such great talents as Erich "Mancow" Muller, Danny Bonaduce, Lou Brutus and more. He continues to do work as a voice-over artist, most recently hired to do a "book-on-CD" of the children's book, "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs!," (Jon Scieszka) for the Illinois School Library Media Association. James provided all the character voices and narration, a score, spfx, even that infamous "turn-the-page" chime! James does all his own production, from concept to mastering. James has a Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in Radio Broadcast Communications and a Masters of Teaching Degree in Education/K-9 with an endorsement for Public Speaking. Currently, with Court Jester on hiatus, James is pursuing new avenues, experimenting, and taking on projects of all kinds. James' solo work is available via Digital Distribution on over 40 locations, including: Amazon, iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, LimeWire, and many more; and an "iPhone Exclusive" ring-tone.- Actor

While in New York, he appeared on television series like Another World and Saturday Night Live. In 2000, he made his feature film debut in the war film Pearl Harbor as one of the legendary Doolittle pilots under the direction of a Michael Bay. Austin gained wide recognition for playing Darwin in Vicky Jenson's Family Tree with Talia Shire and Harland Williams. The movie premiered at Sundance and won the jury prize at SXSW and became the darling of the film festival circuit before qualifying for the Academy Awards. Immediately following the films success, Austin landed a national tour of a one man show called MaleIntellect: An Oxymoron which he performed in for almost two years before returning to Hollywood to try his hand at writing & directing. At this time, he and a close friend Scott Ingalls wrote and directed the hilariously successful comedy series about The Wright Brothers called The Wright Stuff. The Wright Stuff premiered on Dan Harmon and Rib Schrab's Channel 101 network and ran for six months as a prime time show until it was canceled. After that, Austin wrote and directed another academy qualifier film called Tiny Dancer which he filmed on the backlot at Universal Studios. The motion picture featured a ballerina who uses her dancing to evade street punks. The dancing sequences were choreographed by Ballanchine dancer Zippora Karz and opened in theaters before becoming Austin's second Academy qualifying motion picture.
About thus time, Austin was tapped by Stephen Chao (COPS, Americas Most Wanted) and Mike Goedecke of a Belief Design firm to launch an internet company called WobderHowTo.com. Austin became one of the first five hires of the new company where he was made a share holder in the corporation, named Vice President of Original Production and wrote, produced and starred in over 300 pieces of content for the company. Two years later, Austin returned to directing motion pictures under his own shingle The Ford Austin Company. Austin directed over a dozen Low budget horror features including The Curse of Lizzie Borden, Attitude for Destruction and his cult horror comedy classic Dahmer vs Gacy which won many awards for the actor turned director and was released in the Laemmle theater chain.
On March 9th, 2011, while in production on seven feature motion pictures, Austin suffered a life changing car accident in Hollywood, California that brought everything to a halt. He spent two weeks in a coma followed by five months at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. Doctors gave him a 1% chance of survival and said he would probably never walk again. Defiantly, Austin stayed in process and worked from his hospital bed during his hospital stay. He produced the feature documentary The Right to Love:An American Family with Cassie Jaye and would eventually attend the motion picture's premiere at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch in Marin, California. The movie would also become Austin's third Academy Awards qualifying motion picture. When he arrived home from his first of seven hospitalizations, Austin found a copy of Variety on his deck which had a full page ad for another motion picture he was producing before his accident called The Ghostmaker released by Lions Gate Entertainment. Austin relocated to New York City where he had more hospitalizations and surgeries. During his recovery from the procedures, he created, produced and pitched a clip show to Time Warner Cable in Manhattan called The Angry Baby Monkey Short Film Showcase and completed a 26 episode sale that aired in New York City for a year.
In 2012, Austin, fully recovered from his injuries, and his amazing wife Lauree Dash returned to work in Los Angeles. He joined The Actors Studio as a Lifetime Member where he studies with Mark Rydel, Lou Antonio, Lisa Richards, Cathleen Leslie, James DiStefano, Allan Miller and his mentor Martin Landau.- Actor

Evegeni Leonov was a Russian actor best known for leading roles in comedies, such as Kin-dza-dza! (1986) and Gentlemen of Fortune (1971).
He was born Evgeni Pavlovich Leonov on September 2, 1926, in Moscow, Russia, USSR (now Moscow, Russia). He was the second son in the family. His father, Pavel Vasilevich Leonov, was an aviation engineer, his mother, Anna Il'inichna was a homemaker. Young Evgeni Leonov had a dream of becoming a pilot like the famous aviator Valeri Chkalov. During the Second World War his school studies were interrupted by invasion of the Nazi Armies. Leonov became a metal-worker after he completed only seven years of secondary school. Leonov worked in the aviation industry and studied at Moscow Aviation Technical School, named after S. Ordzhonikidze. There he started amateur acting at students club.
One day in 1943, Leonov decided to become a professional actor. He borrowed a coat from his brother and went to the Moscow State Theatre Studio. There he took an entrance exam: he presented monologues from Anton Chekhov and Mikhail Zoschenko to the State Commission of 25 professionals, including Andrei Goncharov and Rostislav Zakharov, the renown director from the Bolshoi Theater. After finishing the prepared monologues Leonov was asked to perform something else. "Something else is even worse", he replied. His words caused an explosion of laughter. The State Commission saw his great potential, and Leonov became a student at the drama class of the Moscow State Theatre Studio. There his teachers were Rostislav Zakharov and Andrei Goncharov. He continued his day job as an industrial worker, and studied acting at nights, graduating in 1947, as actor.
Leonov became a member of the Moscow Dzerzhinsky Borough Theatre, which was renamed the Stanislavsky Theatre in 1948. He had no serious roles for two years and struggled through working extras at the Mosfilm. In 1949 Leonov played his first cameo roles in 'Karandash na ldu' and 'Schastlivy reis'. His first big work in movies was the supporting role in 'Delo Rumyantseva' (1955). In the course of his film career Leonov played a dazzling variety of leading and supporting roles in more than 60 films. Leonov is best remembered for his roles in popular films from directors Vladimir Fetin, Leonid Gaidai, Mark Zakharov, and Georgiy Daneliya. He was twice awarded the State Prize of the USSR, was designated People's Actor of USSR (1978) and received numerous decorations for his film roles and for his stage works.
Evgeni Leonov was among the leading comedians in Russian cinema of the Soviet era. He was best known for his roles in such films as Striped Trip (1961), Gentlemen of Fortune (1971), Kin-dza-dza! (1986), Mimino (1977), and _Osenniy marafon (1979). Leonov also demonstrated remarkable range in dramas and period films, such as Belorussky Station (1971) and Tchaikovsky (1970). He was the voice of Vinnie the Pooh in the eponymous Russian cartoon. His happy face and a sincere smile was a guarantee for success of a film or a stage play. Leonov's stage career, spanning more than 50 years, really took off in 1954, with the role of Lariosik in 'Dni Turbinykh', a play by Mikhail A. Bulgakov. From 1974 - 1994 Leonov was a permanent member of the troupe at Moscow Lenkom Theatre under the directorship of Mark Zakharov. There his stage partners were such actors as Inna Churikova, Leonid Bronevoy, Oleg Yankovskiy, Aleksandr Abdulov, Nikolay Karachentsov, Aleksandr Zbruev, Aleksandra Zakharova, Tatyana Kravchenko, Aleksandr Lazarev, Dmitriy Pevtsov, and other notable Russian actors. Leonov gave a remarkable performance in the leading role as Tevye in 'Pominalnaya Molitva', an adaptation of Tevye the Milkman story by Sholom Aleichem, which was the last role of this great Russian actor.
Outside of his entertainment career, Evgeni Leonov was fond of fine art; he developed a passion for collecting Russian landscape paintings and graphics, as well as Russian period furniture and antiques. His home in Moscow looked like a museum of Russian art. He enjoyed treating his friends and guests to the highlights of his private collection. Leonov, a gourmet connoisseur, was famous for his remarkable hospitality and shared his passion with many friends and guests. He was married to Vanda Vladimirovna Stoilova, and the couple's son, Andrey Leonov, also became an actor. Cinematic jack-of-all-trades Rick Sloane will never win any special awards for his admittedly cheap'n'cheesy low-budget independent movies, but he nonetheless deserves some respect for weathering the storm of lots of harsh critical notices and cranking out a sizable number of films throughout the years. Rick was born in 1961 and grew up in Los Angeles, California (he even attended Hollywood High School). He started making fake movie trailers as a teenager and originally planned on being an animator. Sloane was inspired to become a full-fledged filmmaker after seeing the hilarious 70's drive-in exploitation schlock parody "Hollywood Boulevard" at age eighteen. Rick went to film school at Los Angeles City College, where he was told by several instructors that he was the least talented student in their classes. Sloane's debut feature was the lame horror slasher spoof "The Movie House Massacre," which he made when he was twenty-one years old. This was followed by the campy sci-fi outing "The Visitants." Rick achieved his greatest notoriety with the atrocious "Gremlins" rip-off "Hobgoblins;" this horrendous dud was famously mocked on the cult TV show "Mystery Science Theater 3000." Sloane really hit his stride with the crudely amusing "Vice Academy" flicks; he wound up making six movies altogether in this particular series (these pictures were made popular by being shown all the time on the late-night cable TV program "USA Up All Night"). "Good Girls Don't" rates highly as Rick's best-ever cinematic venture to date; it's a surprisingly sweet and charming female buddy comedic romp that's funny and touching in equal measure. After an eight year hiatus from filmmaking, Rick Sloane made a comeback with the less than eagerly anticipated belated sequel "Hobgoblins 2."- Make-Up Department

Michael George Westmore is a scion of the Westmores of Hollywood, the most illustrious family of make-up artists in the business. The dynasty (of which Michael is the 13th to pursue this line of work) began with his grandfather George Westmore in 1917, later to become head of MGM's make-up department. Michael's father, Monte Westmore, headed the make-up department at Selznick International Pictures and worked on Gone with the Wind (1939) and Rebecca (1940) before his untimely death at the age of 37. His uncles included Bud Westmore, who worked at Universal and was one of the creators of the molded foam rubber suit used for the Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954); Wally Westmore, who headed the make-up department at Paramount; Ern Westmore, who occupied the same position at RKO; and Perc Westmore, chief make-up artist at Warner Brothers, who was responsible for Bette Davis's look as Queen Elizabeth I and for that of Paul Muni as Louis Pasteur, Emile Zola and Benito Juarez. Their collective contribution to the industry earned the Westmores a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Vine Street.
A graduate of the University of California-Santa Barbara, Michael started at Universal in 1961. After three years, he rose to the position of Assistant Department Head of Make-Up. Turning free-lance in the 70s, he worked on the cult horror film Trilogy of Terror (1975), followed by Rocky (1976) (and three of the sequels) and Capricorn One (1977). For the biopic Raging Bull (1980), he transformed Robert De Niro into Jake LaMotta. His particular forte was to make actors age in the course of a film, which he did especially well in The Amazing Howard Hughes (1977) (Tommy Lee Jones) and in True Confessions (1981) (De Niro and Robert Duvall). He also excelled in the design and production of prosthetics, latex masks and the creation of special visual effects.
In 1986, Michael joined the Star Trek franchise as make-up supervisor and stayed on for eighteen years. Beginning with Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987), he devised the look for the characters Data and Lal, as well as creating prosthetics and make-up to bring the Ferengi, the Cardassians and the Borg to life (the Borg Queen was possibly his pièce de résistance!). He also redesigned the Klingons by giving them more pronounced forehead ridges (based on dinosaur spinal columns), nose ridges and dentures to simulate sharp, fang-like teeth. Michael explained: "I read the script and create. The script doesn't usually say three eyes, two horns and blowing fire, so I get to devise creations of my own imagination". His designs for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (1993) include the featureless visage of the changeling Odo and the ferocious, bony features of the Nausicaans and the Jem'Hadar. His alien head designs for Star Trek: Voyager (1995) have included the reptilian Voth and for Star Trek: Enterprise (2001) the Xindi.
Michael based most of his creations on earth animals. For example, he saw the Jem'Hadar as a combination of dinosaurs and rhinos: "If you look at all the pieces, you can see the rhinoceros between the hairdo and the dinosaur with the top of the head and everything. So I would use combinations of what people are familiar with to create my aliens."

Sunny, dynamic and beautiful slender blonde actress Jillian Kesner was born on August 9, 1949 in Portsmouth, Virginia and grew up primarily in Denver, Colorado. Her father was a Navy officer. Jillian received a B.A. in business from a Colorado university in 1967. In 1969 Kesner moved to Los Angeles, California and worked as a model prior to embarking on an acting career in both movies and television. Jillian made her impressive film debut as fiery juvenile delinquent Carrie in the fun drive-in exploitation romp "The Student Body." (She met her future husband and noted cinematographer Gary Graver while acting in this particular picture.) Other memorable movie roles include the sweetly kooky, yet intelligent Angel in the amusing "Starhops," tough, but sexy karate instructor Susanne Carter in the hugely enjoyable "Firecracker," feisty martial arts expert Cookie Winchell in the gloriously tasteless "Raw Force," and alluring vampiress Claudia in the lowbrow hoot "Beverly Hills Vamp." Kesner was a regular cast member of the short-lived sitcom "Co-ed Fever." Perhaps best known to the general public as Fonzie's girlfriend Lorraine on "Happy Days," Jillian made guest appearances on such TV shows as "S.W.A.T.," "The Blue Knight," "The Rockford Files," "Three's Company," "Mork & Mindy," and "T.J. Hooker." Outside of her acting credits, Jillian also handled production coordinator chores on a handful of low-budget straight-to-video movies that were directed by Graver. In addition, both Kesner and Graver tried to complete Orson Welles's unfinished film "The Other Side of the Wind." Following Graver's death in 2006, Jillian continued her efforts to preserve Welles's cinematic legacy. Jillian Kesner died at age 58 from a staph infection on December 5, 2007 in Irvine, California.- Born Mary Eileen "Mimi" Chesterton (nicknamed Mimi by her friends and family) in St. Paul, Minnesota, titian beauty Claudia Jennings was raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1966, she moved to Evanston, Illinois, the first suburb north of Chicago just south of the Wisconsin state line, where she graduated high school in 1968.
After joining the Hull House theater company in Chicago, she took a job as a receptionist at the offices of Playboy magazine in September 1968. Photographer Pompeo Posar asked her to test, and with a potential $5,000 check at stake -- enough for a ticket to Hollywood -- she agreed. She eventually appeared as a Playmate in November 1969, and later as 1970 Playmate of the Year. Re-naming herself Claudia Jennings to avoid family embarrassment due to posing in the nude, she became the most perennially popular Playmate of the 1970s, as well as the number one female star of "Drive-In" movies such as The Unholy Rollers (1972) and 'Gator Bait (1973). Her first film role was with the film Jud (1971), a low-budget, socially conscious, independent film about a Vietnam soldier's return home. While the film came and went without much notice, it encouraged Claudia to go into the acting business full time.
From 1970 to 1975, she lived with songwriter/producer Bobby Hart but, after their split, her personal life began to spiral. She began using drugs and soon got a reputation for being unreliable. As her cocaine use began to escalate, her career from this point began to flounder.
One of her last theatrical film roles was a co-starring part in the little-seen Canadian racetrack drama Fast Company (1979). After narrowly missing the role of Kate Jackson's replacement on Charlie's Angels (1976) to Shelley Hack in May 1979, she began a tumultuous relationship with Beverly Hills realtor Stan Herman. Following their split later that summer, Jennings turned her life around and tried to quit drugs and drinking, but sadly died before she could continue performing in better films. On the morning of October 3, 1979, she was at the wheel of her VW convertible in Malibu on the Pacific Coast Highway, and drifted across the center divider, colliding head-on with a pickup truck near the intersection of Topanga Canyon Boulevard. She died a few minutes later before paramedics could arrive and get her to a nearby hospital. She was 29. - Actor

George M. Stover, Jr., is a native of Towson, Baltimore County, Maryland. He got his start in local TV commercials and films, especially acting in early John Waters' work (before Waters became famous). Acting, however, was only George's side job for many years. He worked in Maryland's government almost all his adult life, carving out an odd acting career while remaining loyal to living in Maryland. George had the best of both worlds: the stability and benefits of working for the government, but also a creative outlet for acting. Living a double life for many years, George can be found acting in off-beat films that mostly go straight to Video (or these days, DVD). Now retired from his government job, George has more time to enjoy his off-beat movie roles, which allow him to release his well-honed sardonic sense of humor.- Composer

The Old Man Who Loves the World
Once there was an old man who had lived a long and adventurous life. He had traveled the world and seen all its beauty and wonder.
Despite his age, he still had a youthful spirit and an insatiable curiosity about the world.
Every day, he would wake up early and go for a long walk. He would wander the countryside, admiring the beauty of nature and the simplicity of life. He would stop and talk to anyone he met, eager to learn about their experiences and perspectives.
Some people thought the old man was crazy or eccentric, always wandering around and talking to strangers. But to him, the world was full of treasures and surprises waiting to be discovered.
One day, the old man met a young girl who was lost in the woods. She was scared and alone, but the old man knew just what to do. He took her hand and led her back to safety. From that day on, the old man and the girl became friends. They would spend hours talking and laughing, and the old man would teach her all about the world.
Years passed, and the old man grew even older. But he never lost his love for the world or his sense of wonder. He continued to wander the countryside, always eager to learn and discover new things.
Many people asked the old man why he was so happy and content with his life. He would simply smile and say, "Because I love the world. And I know that there's always something wonderful waiting to be found."
The old man lived a long and fruitful life, surrounded by friends and loved ones who admired his courage, kindness, and passion for life.
When he passed away, the whole town came to pay their respects. And they knew that his legacy would live on, inspiring others to see the world with fresh eyes and an open heart. - Actor

Rory White is known as the subject of film documentaries on his work with hard-pressed but gifted artists in Los Angeles' intense Skid Row sector. "Passing Through" 2018 (Leslie Dektor), and "Humble Beauty: Skid Row Artists" 2013 and 2008 (Judith Vogelsang and Letitia Popa Schwartz) cover Rory White as a subject, and incorporate his Skid Row still photographs.
Rory was born in Los Angeles, February 3, 1949, but then spent his early childhood in Germany, the child of a Jewish Doctor, Sidney G. White M.D., doing research on a cure for radiation poisoning following Hiroshima, and then on Hemophilia, and Rory's artist mother, Renée Lois White, who was primarily an oil painter, etcher (printmaker), and art teacher, herself a student of Richard Diebenkorn. Rory's main art/photography/mentors were his mother and his third cousin (who functioned as a close uncle and mentor) Otto Rothschild, who did inner-city photography and was the official photographer for the Los Angeles Music Center, Hollywood Bowl, and L.A. Philharmonic from 1930-1981. Early film inspiration included collaborations with those in UCLA's Theatre Arts Film Making Graduate Program, specifically including his brother Neal White, Susan Felter, Neil Reichline, Mohammad Sadrzadeh, and Terry Forgette.
Rory's main immersion is in still photography along with oil painting drawing, and social justice activism. In childhood, after returning from Germany, and during the Cuban Missile Crisis, his family built a crude concrete fallout or bomb shelter in the back yard, in which Rory built a darkroom in his early teens, doing both straightforward and experimental work. Early influences in his pre-teen and teen years were Dorothea Lange and her Dust Bowl photography, "Weegee" (Arthur Fellig) and his gritty inner city photo-journalism counterpointed with his lesser-known experimental inventive darkroom work, Edward Weston, Bill Brandt, Diane Arbus and Tina Madotti.
In the mid-1970's Rory worked for Ansel Adam's in Adam's Yosemite Seminars, where he did photography and worked as a model, with Twinka Thiebaud and for Lucien Clergue, Eikoh Hosoe, Eva Rubinstein, Judy Dater, Jack Welpott, Robert Heinecken, and worked with Imogen Cunningham.
Although Rory had small, usually surreal, parts in experimental films in the late 1960's, early 1970's, ("Pescados Vivos" by Guggenheim Fellow/Fulbright Scholar, Susan Felter, and "Hopi Mountain", Sayed Mohammad Sadrzadeh), Rory became a major subject in the documentary films specifically dealing with himself and the art projects for homeless and marginalized artists that he began in Skid Row in 1998 and continuing to the present day (as of this writing, 2018).
Rory's brothers are all involved in either art or social justice work or both including Rush White MFA, retired professor of Art, (Painting and Drawing) Otis Art Institute, Neal White MFA, retired professor of Art, (Film), San Francisco State University, and Geoff White Ph.D, retired professor of Psychology and Activist-Humanitarian.
Rory lives in Los Angeles' historical town of San Pedro, CA, on the cliffs of Point Fermin.- Art Director

He is primarily remembered for his single acting role, playing the titular predatory alien in the science fiction-horror film Alien (1979).The film was a box-office hit, having earned a worldwide gross of US$143 million by 1992 estimates.
In 1953, Badejo was born in Lagos, Colonial Nigeria. At the time, Nigeria was a British colony. Badejo's family was of Yoruba descent, an ethnic group estimated to represent about 16% of the country 's population. Badejo's father would later serve as the director-general of the Nigerian Broadcasting Corporation, a state-owned radio-broadcasting organization.
Badejo decided to follow a career as a visual artist. He studied abroad in the United States before moving to London, England, to get specialized training as a graphic designer. Bodejo was unusually tall, standing at a height of 2.08 meters (6 feet and 10 inches). Director Ridley Scott's casting crew was seeking a tall person to play the creature in his upcoming film. They found Badejo drinking at a Soho bar and offered him the role. He accepted the offer, although he had neither acting experience nor training.
In 1980, Badejo moved back to Nigeria. In 1983, Badejo opened his own art gallery. He remained active until 1992, when he died from sickle-cell anemia, a hereditary blood disorder that is very common among people of African descent. About 80% of sickle-cell disease cases recorded worldwide have occurred in Africa. Badejo was 39 years old at the time of his death.
Badejo is long gone but is still fondly remembered for his only acting role. "Alien" has had several sequels, prequels, and spin-offs, and the influence of the original film in modern science fiction cinema is quite large. - Stunts

The son of a surveyor, Charles Gray was born and raised in Queen's Park, Bournemouth. As a young actor, he received his vocal training from the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon and at the Old Vic, having long abandoned his first job as clerk for a real estate agent. His voice was to become one of his most valuable tools. In fact, from January 1966, he subtly, almost imperceptibly, dubbed for Jack Hawkins after this actor became unable to speak his lines due to throat cancer. In later years, Gray's trademark voice was regularly heard on television commercials.
Gray's theatrical debut came in 1952 in the part of Charles the Wrestler (he measured 6 foot, 1 inches in height) in "As You Like It", appearing under his original name, 'Donald Gray'. From 1956, as 'Charles' Gray (since there already was a one-armed actor named Donald Gray), he took to leading dramatic roles, and won critical plaudits as Achilles in "Troilus and Cressida", Macduff in "Macbeth" and as the gluttonous Sir Epicure Mammon in Tyrone Guthrie's up-dated version of "The Alchemist", in 1962. He repeated his Old Vic performance as Henry Bolingbroke for his Broadway debut at the Winter Garden Theatre in 1956. A notable later performance, while touring the U.S. and Canada, was as the Prince of Wales in Peter Stone's tale of the famous 19th century actor Edmund Kean ("Kean", 1961). In 1964, Gray won the Clarence Derwent Award as Best Supporting Actor for his part in the controversial play "Poor Bitos", by Jean Anouilh, co-starring Donald Pleasence. He was offered his first role on the big screen, reprising a success on the West End stage in 1958, as Captain Cyril Mavors,in the satirical musical Expresso Bongo (1959).
For the next forty years, heavy-set, silver-haired, jut-jawed Charles Gray used his imposing frame and mellifluous voice to great effect in creating for the screen a memorable gallery of egocentric, imperious toffs, and suave, sardonic super-villains. While his performances at times verged on the camp, Gray cheerfully allowed himself to be cast within his range of basically unsympathetic characters, which he could play well and with ease. He tended to favour television as his preferred medium, though some of his most popular roles were for the big screen. Among his niche of staple characters were the coldly pompous military heavies (General Gabler in The Night of the Generals (1967), or the perpetually sneering, overbearing upper-class twits (true-to-form, as defecting spy Hillary Vance in the Thriller (1973) episode "Night is the Time for Killing"). At his evil best, he was commanding as the demonic acolyte Mocata, in The Devil Rides Out (1968) and as the feline-stroking, velvety-voiced nemesis of James Bond, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, in Diamonds Are Forever (1971). He was also suitably sinister as Bates the Butler, one of the red herrings of Agatha Christie's The Mirror Crack'd (1980).
Gray's recurring roles included Lord Seacroft (senior, as well as junior) in the short-lived satirical miniseries The Upper Crusts (1973) as a down-on-his-heels aristocrat, keeping up appearances after being forced to live in a high-rise housing estate; and as the sedentary brother of the famous sleuth at 221b Baker Street, Mycroft, in The Seven-Per-Cent Solution (1976). Later, he was utilised as temporary replacement, first for Edward Hardwicke, and, subsequently, for the hospitalised star Jeremy Brett, in Granada Television's various instalments of the Sherlock Holmes saga (1985-1994). Gray died of cancer in March 2000, aged 71.- Actor

Tall, versatile, brown-haired (now balding) supporting actor, John Clive has been in a number of famous movies throughout his career. His first film was Smashing Time (1967), which was followed by a role in The Beatles' movie, Yellow Submarine (1968), when he was called upon to dub John Lennon's voice. Appearing in the The Italian Job (1969) was also something of an achievement for this versatile actor. He appeared the controversial but landmark A Clockwork Orange (1971), two years later. For "Carry On..." fans he is best remembered for playing the first openly gay character in the series. The character,"Robin", goes on holiday with his partner "Nicholas" in Carry on Abroad (1972), but unfortunately the characters fall out in the film and Robin is left on his own at the end of the holiday. Another good performance in Carry on Dick (1974) followed.
John is not seen in film so much anymore, but he remains a successful performer in many stage productions and is also a successful author. He shares his free time between two properties in London and Spain.- Actor

Unassuming, innocent-eyed and undeniably ingratiating, Brit comedy actor Ian Carmichael was quite the popular chap in late 50s and early 60s film. He was born in Hull, Yorkshire, England on June 18, 1920, the son of Arthur Denholm Carmichael, an optician, and his wife Kate (Gillett). After receiving his schooling at Bromsgove High School and Scarborough College, he was accepted into the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and trained there, making his stage debut as a mute robot in "RUR". in 1939. That same year he also appeared as Claudius in "Julius Caesar" and was appearing a revue production of "Nine Sharp" (1940) when his young career was interrupted by WWII. He served in Europe for many years with the Royal Armoured Corps as a commissioned officer in the 22nd Dragoons.
Ian returned to the theatre in 1947 with roles in four productions: "She Wanted a Cream Front Door", "I Said to Myself", "Cupid and Mars" and "Out of the Frying Pan". He also sharpened his farcical skills in music hall revues where he worked with such revue legends as Hermione Baddeley and Dora Bryan. Given his first film bit as a waiter in Bond Street (1948), he continued in rather obscure roles for several years. While he was sincerely capable of playing it serious, which would include roles in the U.S. film Betrayed (1954) starring Clark Gable and Lana Turner, as well as the war-themed adventures The Colditz Story (1955) and Storm Over the Nile (1955), it was his association with late 50s "silly-ass" comedy that gave his cinematic career a noticeable boost. After repeating his stage success (the only cast member to do do) playing David Prentice in the film version of Simon and Laura (1955) opposite Kay Kendall and Peter Finch, he co-starred in a series of droll satires for the Boulting Brothers and Ealing Studios. While he might have been upstaged on occasion by a motley crew of scene-stealers (Terry-Thomas, Peter Sellers, Raymond Huntley, Margaret Rutherford), Ian was sublimely funny himself as the hapless klutz caught up in their shenanigans. Private's Progress (1956), the service comedy which got the whole ball rolling, and its sequel, I'm All Right Jack (1959), along with the Boulting's Lucky Jim (1957) Brothers in Law (1957) and Happy Is the Bride (1958) firmly established Ian as a slapstick movie star.
The inane fun continued into the 60s with ripe vehicles in Skywatch (1960), School for Scoundrels (1960), Double Bunk (1961), The Amorous Mr. Prawn (1962) and Heavens Above! (1963). During the late 1960s and 1970s, he found more fulfillment playing wry, bemused, upper-crust characters on comedy TV, particularly his Bertie Wooster in The World of Wooster (1965) which reunited him with frequent Boulting Brothers co-star Dennis Price as Jeeves, Wooster's chilly-mannered personal valet. Ian's leading role as the Bachelor Father (1970), based on the story of a real-life perennial bachelor who took on several foster children, only added to his popularity. In later years, he was frequently heard on the BBC radio.
Ian made vigilant returns to the comedy stage whenever possible in such lightweight vehicles as "The Tunnel of Love", "The Gazebo", "Critic's Choice", "Birds on the Wing", "Darling, I'm Home", "Springtime for Henry" and appeared in his last musical "I Do! I Do!" in 1968. Earlier, in 1965, he made his Broadway debut starring in "Boeing-Boeing", which lasted only a few weeks. A more successful revival of this show showed up on Broadway in 2008.
Semi-retired since the mid-1980s, Ian continued to show elderly spryness here and there with a smattering of films including The Magnificent Seven Deadly Sins (1971), From Beyond the Grave (1974), The Lady Vanishes (1979) and Diamond Skulls (1989). On TV, he was quite popular in the role of the gentleman detective Lord Peter Wimsey in several crime mystery mini-series: Clouds of Witness (1972), The Unpleasantness at the Bellona Club (1972), Murder Must Advertise (1973), The Nine Tailors (1974) and Five Red Herrings (1975), and had a recurring role on the TV series Strathblair (1992).
To cap his career off, he was honored as an OBE in the 2003 Queen's Birthday Honours List. Made a widower after 40 years by his first wife Jean (Pym) McLean, he married novelist/radio producer Kate Fenton, who is over thirty years his junior, in 1992. He has two daughters, Lee and Sally, from his first marriage. In 1979, his autobiography, "Will the Real Ian Carmichael?...", was published.
A charmer to the end, his last (recurring) appearance was on the TV series The Royal (2003) in 2009. The actor died on February 7, 2010, following a month-long illness.- Jack Luden's story is one of the saddest in Hollywood. He was born as Jacob Benson Luden in Reading, Pennsylvania, with a silver spoon in his mouth; his uncle was the millionaire founder of Luden's Cough Drops and he attended the finest schools on the east coast. But he was restless, possessing an impulsive rebellious streak and opted for an acting career. Against enormous odds, he won a contest to attend the Paramount Pictures' School of Acting on Long Island, New York in 1925 where he stood in good stead with classmates Thelma Todd and future all-American star, Charles 'Buddy' Rogers. Paramount ordered him to Hollywood the following year and he acted in various films both there and on loan to FBO during the sound transition period. His personal heyday lasted for about 3 years; his studio had faith and patience in him, and he earned enough money to indulge his passion for sailing, and bought a boat. Possessing good looks, passable voice and a degree of acting talent, he should have been on the fast track toward stardom but his studio faced hard times after 1930 and somehow Luden was lost in the shuffle. More seriously, he acquired a heroin habit (possibly as early as 1929) and found it impossible to keep it hidden. Released from his Paramount contract --- some accounts claim he simply walked out --- having never achieved stardom, Luden found himself adrift and was known to commit wholesale shoplifting to support his drug habit. His life between 1930-36 is largely a mystery. He apparently gave up any pretext of hiding his drug addiction. His father died in the mid-1930s and his immediate family, by what accounts there are, expressed dismay over his lifestyle. He was reputedly arrested several times during this period for petty theft, but details are lacking and there's no indication that anyone ever associated his crimes to his faded Hollywood career. Luden somehow managed to re-enter the film business and came to the attention of veteran low-budget Gower Gulch producer, Larry Darmour who rode on the coattails of Columbia's ascent out of the ranks of Poverty Row studios. Columbia boss Harry Cohn was loathe to ignore the profits to be mined in Saturday afternoon matinées and gave Darmour a unit. His features were budgeted at $100,000 or less and, typical for the era, he sought to brand his western stars, making them more easily marketable to kids. This was Luden's second and last big break. He was cast as "Breezy" through four productions in 1938. Relatively speaking, Columbia's western efforts were top notch entertainment compared to the cinematic gruel spewing from the likes of its neighbors along Gower (an arguable exception would be Republic, despite its far lower budgets). Whether Darmour or Cohn were initially aware of the extent of his drug addiction is open to speculation, but it's probable that his relative obscurity in Hollywood was initially considered an asset since his police record didn't prevent him from this last stab at stardom. In any event, Luden once again failed to click with the targeted audience and he was cut from Columbia. He ended his film career in the early 1940s making minor, uncredited walk-ons. He made a half-hearted attempt at forming a film production company in the late 1940s that went nowhere (given his reputation, it was likely a scam). Married three times, he turned to drug dealing to support his increasingly expensive heroin habit. It's easy to speculate how failing in Hollywood affected him, but the undeniable fact was that Luden was completely comfortable being a low-life; his favorite saying was "a crooked buck is sweeter than an honest dollar." Not exactly the desired credo of an actor who once aimed, albeit half-heartedly, to be a cowboy star and idol of children. He was arrested for possession and writing bad checks and was sent to San Quentin State Pennitentiary. Luden, ultimately his own worst enemy, died there 9 months into his sentence from a heart attack at age 49 in 1951.

Aleksandr Mikhailovich Rodchenko (Alexander Rodchenko) was born on December 5, 1891, in St. Petersburg, Russia. His father, named Mikhail Mikhailovich Rodchenko, was a theatre designer. His mother, named Olga Evdokimovna, was a laundress. From 1908-1910 Rodchenko was a dental technician at Dental School of Dr. Natanson. From 1910-1914 he studied art at the Kazan School of Art under Nikolai Fechin, then at the Stroganov Art Institute in Moscow.
Rodchenko experienced the influence of Kazimir Malevich, Vladimir Tatlin, Wassily Kandinsky, and other artists working in abstract style. He was the pupil and assistant of Vladimir Tatlin, and his work was initially influenced by Cubism, then Cubo-Futurism. His early drawings and paintings followed the developments of Suprematism and Futurism. He worked with a wide variety of media as a decorator, furniture and theatre designer, printer, painter, sculptor, and photographer. After the Russian Revolution of 1917, Rodchenko joined the Bolsheviks. He believed in new opportunities for art and became active in many applications of art, illustration, commercial designs, and photography. In 1921 Rodchenko replaced Wassily Kandinsky as Chairman of State Institute of Artistic Culture (INKHUK) and Chairman of Museum Bureau and Russian State Art Acquisitions Commission. In 1921 he co-wrote the Constructivist's Manifesto. He collaborated with writer and actor Vladimir Mayakovsky, director Vsevolod Meyerhold, composer Dmitri Shostakovich, filmmaker Dziga Vertov, and many others. From 1923-1928 he collaborated with Osip Brik in the Left Front of Art (LEF). In 1925 Rodchenko won four silver medals at Paris International Exhibition.
Alexander Rodchenko became one of the founders of Constructivism and Productivism in Russia. His innovations revolutionized the art of still photography. He used his camera as if it was a drawing instrument. He mastered the use of photo-montage, odd angles, wide frames, and photo-series. His way of photographing from unusual and obscured viewpoints, exploring the potential of shadows, opened new dimensions in photo-art. Rodchenko shot his subjects from high above or below angles, to shock the viewer and to postpone recognition. He made important photo-portraits of actress Lilya Brik, writer Osip Brik, actor Vladimir Mayakovsky, director Vsevolod Meyerhold, director Dziga Vertov, director Aleksandr Dovzhenko, and other Russian culture luminaries. He also organized many photography exhibitions. Rodchenko was the art director in several Soviet-made films. His most innovative and interesting work was his graphic design and montage works for advertisements and movie posters, which was his major contribution to film-poster art. His posters for such films as 'Battleship Potemkin' (1925), 'Kinoglaz' (1924), and other works, are regarded among the highest achievements in film-poster art.
In 1928 Rodchenko wrote a manifesto titled "Against the Synthaetic Portrait, For the Snapshot" in which he argues for the documentary objectivity of photography. "Snapshots allow no one to idealize or falsify Lenin", wrote Rodchenko. He was soon attacked by Stalinists and was accused of supporting Trotsky and his ideas. His exhibitions were canceled, he was dismissed from major projects and jobs. For many years he was deprived of livelihood. That caused him a depression, high blood pressure, and other health problems. Rodchenko was officially charged with "bourgeois formalism" and his photography was censored and banned from public shows. However, from 1934-1938, he was commissioned to make several photo-albums for Soviet propaganda, such as: "Belomor-kanal imeni Stalina" and "Krasnaya Armia" (Red Army 1938). Rodchenko made a beatiful job, but remained under suspicion during many years of the dictatorship of Joseph Stalin.
Alexander Rodchenko was in opposition to Socialist realism. From the late 1930's to the end of his life he was forced to quit photography amidst the paranoia of Stalinist censorship. He returned to painting sporadically after 1942, made a series of abstract decorative compositions, but his art was ostracized. He lived in poverty and obscurity for the last twenty years of his life. Rodchenko was constantly harassed by officials for his art, his membership in the Union of Soviet Artists was canceled, and he was made an outcast. His membership was restored only in 1954, after the death of Stalin. Rodchenko died of a stroke on December 3, 1956, in Moscow, and was laid to rest in Donskoe Cemetery in Moscow, Russia.- Actor

He is known as a non-conformist, and created his own style of film making. Most of his movies show very little influence of other directors. Notable aspects of his film making include a curious combination of close-ups, abrupt fast-cuts and innovative camera angles. He is renowned in the Kannada film industry for his understanding of the technical aspects of cinema. His movies are lavish and stand out for superior production values distinguished for cinematography, sound, lighting, music and special effects. Even acclaimed directors of the industry have learned technical aspects from his films. A distinct directorial feature is his innovative shooting of songs. Song cinematography in movies that Ravichandran has directed often involve elaborate and richly mounted settings.- Actor

Since the age of six, Andy Davoli has been performing on stage and it can be said that since then he hasn't left. He attended clown and magic school as a teen, graduated from Villanova University and then got accepted into law school. But Andy knew his destiny was always in front of him so he made his way to New York City to realize his dreams of being an actor. He settled in Little Italy where he vigorously studied the three branches of the Method, finding that he could instinctively bring his intensity, intelligence, and humor and encompass them into the characters he played whether it be on stage or on film.
After returning from a visit to Davoli, Italy, he was cast in his first lead role in an independent film entitled "Loser Love" directed by Jean-Marc Vallée. Meanwhile, he carried on honing his craft performing in several Off-Broadway plays. Director James Gray discovered Andy and cast him in what would be Andy's first foray into studio features for a splashy role opposite such top talents as Joaquin Phoenix, Mark Wahlberg, and Charlize Theron, in the big budget Miramax feature "The Yards". It's no surprise then that Andy quickly caught the eye of Italian-American cinematic legends like Martin Scorsese who cast him in a cameo role in "Bringing Out the Dead" opposite Nicolas Cage. Andy then had a cameo in "People I Know" with The Godfather himself, the great Al Pacino.
Davoli beat out hundreds of other actors for the coveted role of "Scarpa" in New Line Cinema's "Knockaround Guys" where Brian Koppelman and David Levein cast him in the lead role opposite Vin Diesel, Barry Pepper, and John Malkovich. After an audition for the critically acclaimed HBO series "The Sopranos", series creator David Chase wrote the recurring role of "Dino Zerilli" for him in the third season of arguably the greatest show in the history of television. Clearly Andy Davoli brings something special to the screen and the directing duo Anthony and Joe Russo saw what others were seeing. They cast the rising star in the lead ensemble role of "Basil" alongside Sam Rockwell, George Clooney, and Gabrielle Union in Warner Bros' "Welcome to Collinwood", produced by Clooney and Steven Soderbergh.
While in the room auditioning in front of Pulitzer winning playwright and screenwriter David Mamet, he was immediately cast opposite Val Kilmer in "Spartan" after telling a joke. Andy's charisma is both on and off the screen. He continued to prove himself as a multi-faceted actor in the role of "Jake Perini", a wheelchair-bound victim of polio, opposite Kenneth Branagh and Cynthia Nixon in the Golden Globe-nominated HBO film "Warm Springs".
Davoli's dark Sicilian-Italian good looks were used to stunning effect in a Stephen Meisel Dolce & Gabbana campaign opposite international supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
His starring turn as the lead in the magical surrealistic short film "Lucky Clown" brought Andy back to his clown college roots and paved the way for the film to premiere at both the 2007 Cannes Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival. Directed by the brilliant Renaissance filmmaker Salvatore Di Costanzo, Andy went on to make two more shorts with him of the same genre: "The Crying Museum" and "The Abandoned Circus".
Since his memorable role in "The Sopranos", Andy has lent his talent and versatility over the years to countless roles on such celebrated shows as "24", "CSI:New York", "CSI:Miami", "The Unit", "Burn Notice", and "Lucifer".
As if being in recognizable films, TV series, and stage performances weren't enough, you most likely have seen Davoli in memorable national commercials and groundbreaking video games such as Rockstar Games' "LA Noir". His broad range is truly remarkable.
Yes, it can be said with confidence that the once young boy on stage is still doing what he's always done-manifesting his dreams and bringing his passion of storytelling with him to every project he collaborates on. Now living in Los Angeles, Andy Davoli continues to sharpen his skills as he further advances his career.- Actor

Born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1958, Ken and his brother 'Cleve Hall' were adopted within a year of each other and grew up there. His love of film came at an early age, when his mother began taking both boys to the movies while they were still toddlers. He was exposed to all genres, from the fluffy Doris Day/Rock Hudson films to James Bond to musicals to Hammer horror films, but it was sci-fi and horror films, with their scary effects and futuristic creatures that got him hooked at an early age. He began creating creature suits in his bedroom using upholstery foam and any other materials he could get his hands on. He attended horror/sci-fi conventions long before there were Trekkies and ComicCons, meeting his favorite B-Movie stars and winning costume contests. It was at one such convention that Ken came to the attention of a young, up-and-coming effects artist named Rick Baker, who encouraged him to follow his talents and dreams wherever they took him. He followed them all the way to California in 1982 to become a writer/director, inspired not only by the Universal and Hammer classics, but also by the likes of Roger Corman, Michael McCarty, Herschell Gordon Lewis and Russ Meyer, to name a few. Ken's first screen-writing assignment was _The Tomb (1986)_, produced by Fred Olen Ray. For awhile he was a script- writer for various Charles Band companies, producing such screenplays as _Dr. Alien (1988)_ and Test Tube Teens from the Year 2000 (1994). His breakthrough film came in 1989 with the release of Puppet Master (1989). From there he went on to pen such films as _Ghost Writer (1989)_ (a MOW showcasing sisters Audrey Landers and Judy Landers, which he also directed) and _The Clown at Midnight (1998)_ starring 'Christopher Plummer' and Margot Kidder. During his 13 years working as a writer/ director, he also became established as a makeup/effects artist and special effects creature/costume fabricator. Ken is one of a small handful of experts in the field of foam fabrication, a technique that's part pattern making, part sculpting. His best known creatures are the title character of Roger Corman's Carnosaur (1993) (and sequels) and the famous octopus prop used in Ed Wood (1994).
In 1995, Ken started Total Fabrication, Inc., which has become a well- regarded effects house serving the film, television and themed entertainment markets all over the United States. Through Total Fabrication, he's responsible for such diverse creations as the villain costumes for Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie (1997) (and three seasons of the TV Series), as well as Mr. Moose, Bunny Rabbit and Grandfather Clock for "The New Captain Kangaroo" and the muscle suits for 'Rob Botin''s lounge lizards in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998).
Now, after eight years of creatures, video game characters and food costumes, Ken is ready to return to film-making with his indie production company, BV Entertainment, Inc. in North Hollywood, California. With his latest script, "The Halfway House", currently in pre- production, Ken plans to remain on the scene for quite some time.- Bill was born and raised in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. He started his career on Ang Lee's Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk. He has since been working on Tyler Perry's The Oval as a Series Regular, Recurring Guest Star on First Wives Club, The Untitled Kay Oyegun Project, and two other pilots that have not gone to series. He has stayed busy in the film world by working with stars like Scarlett Johansson, Channing Tatum, Kerry Washington, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Martin Freeman. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's Director, Ryan Coogler, said in an interview that Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Bill's scenes were too funny, and were cut from the movie.
