Comedian Jerry Seinfeld is calling out the “extreme left” for ruining comedy. On a recent episode of the New Yorker‘s Radio Hour, Seinfeld criticized the censorship of comedy and its lack of accessibility today.
“Nothing really affects comedy. People always need it. They need it so badly, and they don’t get it,” Seinfeld said. “It used to be that you’d go home at the end of the day, most people would go, ‘Oh, Cheers is on. Oh, M.A.S.H. is on . . .’ You just expected [there will] be some funny stuff we can watch on T.V. tonight.”
“Well, guess what? Where is it?” Seinfeld questioned. “This is the result of the extreme left and P.C. c— and people worrying so much about offending other people.”
Seinfeld explained that audiences are now tuning in to stand-up comedians and live shows since their performances are not censored. The comedian also mentioned...

Seinfeld has continued to live on after its 1998 series finale through syndication, maintaining its popularity. But decades after its end, some fans have been speculating about a possible Seinfeld reunion episode.
The comic and writer himself, Jerry Seinfeld, came close to making this a reality.

Back in the 2000s, Seinfeld was actually in the midst of penning a reunion special of his titular show. He was secretly working alongside many of his old cast members to make it happen. But the actors couldn’t finish the project in time, so it was scrapped indefinitely.
“I don’t think it can happen now. It would’ve had to happen because this [Seinfeld: The Complete Series) is the last DVD coming out, so now would’ve been the time to do it,” he once said according to Irish Examiner.
But there still might be hope that the Seinfeld cast might have some sort of TV reunion.

On July 5, 1989, “The Seinfeld Chronicles” premiered with a whimper on NBC. Created by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, it centered on the mundane life of a standup comedian and his eccentric friends. The self-proclaimed “show about nothing,” rebranded as “Seinfeld” when its remaining four first season episodes finally aired almost a year later in 1990, was championed by critics and ignored by audiences. Yet momentum continued to gain, and soon the series was dominating the ratings, collecting Emmys and entering the cultural lexicon with its popular catchphrases. Let’s take a look back at 30 of its greatest episodes, ranked worst to best.
Though Jerry was front-and-center, “Seinfeld” succeeded thanks to its supporting cast: best friend and ne’er do well George Costanza (Jason Alexander), former girlfriend Elaine Benes (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and wacky neighbor Kramer (Michael Richards). It’s been more than a quarter of a century since Seinfeld ended its nine-season run on NBC, and Jerry Seinfeld says he’s “a little bit” bothered by how the sitcom ended.
In a new interview, the stand-up comic talks about the TV show finales that he thought were great and discussed how he was not completely satisfied with how the characters ended up in a jail cell.
“I don’t believe in regret. I think it’s arrogant to think you could have done something different. You couldn’t. That’s why you did what you did,” Seinfeld said in an interview with GQ Hype. “But me and Jeff Schaffer and Larry were standing around, talking about TV finales and which we thought were great. One of the biggest TV shows in the history of entertainment, Seinfeld is still as famous as ever. Created and starring Jerry Seinfeld as a fictional character, it was the series’ witty writing and impeccable comedic timing that made it as popular as it is now. The actor-writer is known for his timeless sitcom Seinfeld, which is often considered to be one of the greatest comedies on TV. The show ran for nine seasons and has often been regarded as the defining sitcom of the era.
While many sitcoms have been aired since then, few have come close to the popularity and pop cultural impact Seinfeld had. The show is still loved by audiences with its signature theme being parodied and referenced on multiple occasions. When asked what was the secret behind the show’s longevity, Jerry Seinfeld had a simple answer.

Running for nearly a decade, Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld’s sitcom Seinfeld remains one of the most influential shows in television history. The show revolves around comedian Jerry and his quirky friends living in New York City as they tackle everyday situations with humor. Often described as a “show about nothing,” its nine-season run was concluded in 1998 with a divisive finale.

It’s pretty sad! HBO’s twelve-season run of Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm has officially ended after 120 fairly well-executed episodes. It has become difficult to distinguish between the real Larry David and the TV character because the co-creator of Seinfeld has made a career out of playing an exaggerated version of himself.
Curb Your Enthusiasm’s long-awaited, 53-minute series finale offers fans even more laughs, some well-timed cameos, and a hint at another finale that fans may have been predicting since the season’s opening episode.

So it’s no surprise that the show’s director, Jeff Schaffer, claimed that the final episode was a direct response to all the Seinfeld haters out there.

[This story contains major spoilers from the series finale of Curb Your Enthusiasm, “No Lessons Learned.”]
And, that’s a wrap on Larry David’s Curb Your Enthusiasm.
The series finale of the Emmy-winning HBO improv comedy kicked off with a big circle back to how the final season began, with the ensemble heading to Atlanta to support Larry David (played by series creator-star David) in his trial.
For a refresher: Season 12 opened with Larry getting arrested for violating a 2021 voting law in Georgia when he gave Leon Black’s (Jb Smoove) Auntie Rae (played by Ellia English) a glass of water while she was waiting in line to vote. Larry didn’t know about the law, but he became a liberal hero anyway, with the likes of Stacey Abrams, Bruce Springsteen and Sienna Miller becoming his adoring new fans.
An unfortunate issue with a replacement lawn jockey, however, led to Larry pleading not guilty to obstructing the election process...

The MCU is going through a rough period with critical and commercial failures. From poor CGI work in movies and series to weak storylines, this is not the MCU the fans are familiar with. Marvel’s concerning state has also attracted the attention of the Bucky Barnes star Sebastian Stan. However, the actor is optimistic that his upcoming film may contribute to some positive change in the MCU.

One of the most exciting upcoming MCU projects is ‘Thunderbolts*.’ Production was slated to kick off in Summer 2023, and the cast was expected to include actors already associated with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Marvel Studios making efforts to ensure their availability.
Then, the SAG-AFTRA strike happened and paralyzed the industry for more than 3 months and stalled the progress of the movie. Little is known about the overall plot, except that it will see a group of antiheroes as they go on various missions for the government.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is gearing up for its grand farewell on April 7, and Larry David could end the show in the funniest way possible if the finale follows in the footsteps of another one of his series. Apart from being known for the HBO improvisational comedy, Larry David is best known for co-creating the NBC hit Seinfeld, which aired for nine seasons from 1989 to 1998. In that show’s divisive finale, Jerry (Jerry Seinfeld), Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), George (Jason Alexander), and Kramer (Michael Richards) end up in jail. Considering that Larry’s facing a trial for handing out water to individuals on voting lines in Georgia, he could very well end up in a similar position as his characters from Seinfeld, if he so chooses. Things aren’t looking good for fostering a strong public opinion in favor of his innocence after the penultimate episode, “Ken/Kendra,” which saw Larry become...

Lorne Michaels is an expert at celebrating the legacy of “Saturday Night Live.” The show’s creator has produced variety specials for the NBC program’s 15th anniversary, 25th anniversary and 40th anniversary, so the upcoming 50th season should have a highly entertaining spectacle. Nothing less than a three-hour event would be expected, but how else should “SNL” celebrate the golden anniversary season, which would begin in the autumn of 2024 and continue through May, 2025?
Here is our exciting, fun suggestion for a way to go above and beyond for the live special. Over the course of a 20-22 episode season, NBC would certainly have almost every episode featuring the current cast along with hot guest hosts and musical guests. However, for the other five episodes spread out over several months, devote an entire 90 minutes to each previous decade. Invite back the biggest cast members from a decade along with well-known guest hosts and music stars.

The Thunderbolts set video begins with Pugh exiting her trailer in full costume, with her hair looking shorter than it was in Black Widow. As she moves into the Atlanta studio, we see pieces of large sets before she comes across director Jake Schreier. You can see the Thunderbolts logo on the back of a chair as well as a brief snippet of footage on the monitor, which shows Yelena pointing a gun at someone. With any other movie, this might not seem particularly revealing, but for a Marvel movie… well, I’d be putting my will in order.

The tentpole will mark Pugh’s latest appearance as the assassin Yelena Belova, a role she debuted as in “Black Widow” and reprised on the Disney+ series “Hawkeye.” The set video includes a first look at one of Yelena’s combat-ready suits in the film. Pugh is also sporting some blue eyeliner.
“Hey guys, how are you doing? I know I’ve dropped off for a little bit, but that’s partially because I was whisked off to Atlanta to shoot a movie that I’m not really supposed to talk about,” Pugh told her followers in the video. “But I can show you things, sneakily, as long as you don’t tell anyone…I can show you a sneak peek of the set.

Ayo Edebiri‘s upgrade to lead for Season 2 of “The Bear” has been an unqualified success. She won the Golden Globe and Critics Choice Award for Best Comedy Actress in January, along with the Screen Actors Guild Awards’ single comedy actress prize. In the midst of all that, she took home the Best Comedy Supporting Actress statuette for Season 1 at the delayed Emmy ceremony. And now Edebiri is the odds-on favorite to win the Best Comedy Actress Emmy for Season 2 in September, which would put her on a short list of women who’ve won both comedy lead and supporting trophies.
