After nearly 35 years, the "Predator" franchise is still going strong. Despite a fair share of disappointment during its seven-film (and counting) run, every decade produces a strong chapter that reinvigorates interest in the mysterious alien hunters. John McTiernan's muscle-bound 1987 creature feature starring Arnold Schwarzenegger remains the best. Still, more recent offerings like Nimród Antal's 2010 sequel "Predators" and Dan Trachtenberg's 2022 prequel "Prey" have closed the gap and provided hope for future entries.
Delightfully R-rated, the "Predator" series follows a group of elite alien warriors, brought to life with incredible special effects, who venture to different planets to test themselves against the best killers they can find. Curiously, none of the films have allowed a Predator to claim victory over their most formidable foes, though they do enjoy minor victories that make way for some nasty spine-ripping action. To date, we've seen Predator eliminate its victims in various ways...

The biggest scoop about the season 8 was revealed by Goldberg, who said it will include a seven-year time jump.
Goldberg reflected on the season ending and enduring fanbase for the series. “It feels surreal; it’s amazing to be making season 8 of this show, and only because, at this point, everybody knows that this will be our final season,” Goldberg said. “Thank you so much; you are the best fans in the world, we made this show for you, and we’re so honored that we’ve been able to tell these stories for such a long time.”

Last month, AMC announced that the eighth season of Fear the Walking Dead, which is set to begin airing on May 14th, will be the final season. Now cinematographer David Morrison has taken to Instagram to mark the fact that filming is underway on the series finale. Morrison said, “Been looking forward to this for a while. Years in the making. Let’s do this!” The series finale is being directed by Michael E. Satrazemis, a franchise regular who has directed seventeen episodes of The Walking Dead, twenty episodes of Fear the Walking Dead, and three episodes of Tales of the Walking Dead.
The Walking Dead wrapped up its eleven season run on AMC last year, so it seems fitting that Fear the Walking Dead, its first companion series, is following its example and wrapping up as well. Especially since there are a bunch of new spin-offs to look forward...

Residente is continuing his foray into filmmaking and will help tell the story of his native Puerto Rico.
The Calle 13 star is teaming up with Birdman screenwriter Alexander Dinelaris to write a new film titled Porto Rico about the life of Puerto Rican revolutionary José Maldonado Román.
“It has been amazing to work with Alex,” Residente told Deadline, who first shared news of the new film. “It took me a while to find a great writer because I was looking for someone who not only is talented but also connects with the subject matter.

The Grammys aren’t the Grammys without surprises, and this year definitely didn’t disappoint on that front. Here are five categories that shocked us all on Sunday night.
Song of the Year
Undoubtedly the biggest surprise at the Grammys was Bonnie Raitt taking home Song of the Year for “Just Like That.” Raitt is no stranger to a Grammy win, having racked up 13 competitive Grammys across her long career. However, while many expected her to lose this award to a more contemporary name — perhaps Adele or Harry Styles — Raitt probably monopolized the country and Americana vote, as well as being a likely rock-voter pick (she’s a past winner in that genre). With that in mind, and considering the older voters who likely love Raitt as well, her win isn’t inexplicable. And good for Raitt, who’s the first sole-lyricist winner of the award since Amy Winehouse (“Rehab...

The best way to describe Fear the Walking Dead is a rollercoaster.
What started as a compelling look into how the world fell became a tedious affair, and we're surprised it's even getting an eighth and final season to tie up loose ends.
The series was destined for success on its brand name alone, and looking back, it's hard to believe that it is the same show we watched during the first three seasons.
It's time to dive into how the show lost most of its viewers and whether anything could have prevented the series from becoming what it is today: A shell of its former self.
Fear the Walking Dead Season 1 premiered to a decent response and broke several cable records.
It started as a series about the Clark family and their struggle to come to terms with the fall of the world.

Bringing together the best of music from Spanish-speaking countries, the Latin field at the Grammys is always one of the most diverse and exciting. With the rapidly-growing exposure of Latin music to global audiences, this year’s nominees reflect a mix of huge names like Rosalía, Bad Bunny, and Christina Aguilera, as well as Latin legends like Rubén Blades and Fito Páez. But alas, only one will be walking away with each honor.

Whether it was during his time as lead singer in the band Los Bukis, or as a solo artist, Marco Antonio Solis has become a staple artist in many Latinx households.
The Mexican musician's songs have been the soundtrack to many telenovelas including "El Alma no Tiene Color" and "Teresa," which were watched religiously by our moms, tias, and abuelas. As one of Mexico's most successful artists of all time with a career that spans almost four decades long, it was no surprise that he was chosen to receive The Person of the Year Award at the 2022 Latin Grammy awards. The awards show opened with a tribute to Solis with a performance by the night's hosts Thalia, Luis Fonsi, and Laura Pausini. They were later joined by Sin Bandera, Carin León, Gente de Zona, Aymée Nuviola, and Chocquibtown's Goyo who helped belt out Solis' hit songs.

Even critically acclaimed icons have bouts of insecurity. For Uruguayan singer-songwriter Jorge Drexler, Tinta y Tiempo was an album that “almost didn’t happen.” In the past, the Oscar-winning veteran had stepped out in the world and shared bits and pieces of unfinished tunes with fellow artists — something that had been a vital part of his songwriting process. But confined to his home in Spain during the pandemic, he found himself without that nurturing feedback to support him, and many songs remained incomplete. “Two years went by, and I still couldn’t finish them,...

With the new Predator movie Prey being released through the Hulu streaming service earlier this month, a lot of people have been talking about the Predator franchise and revisiting the early movies. In the new episode of The Arrow in the Head Show, hosts John “The Arrow” Fallon and Lance Vlcek are getting in on the Predator action as well, looking back at the 1990 film Predator 2 (watch it Here). With Prey a runaway hit on Disney’s Hulu streaming service, people are quick to call it the greatest Predator sequel ever. But wait just a second folks – has everyone forgotten about 1990’s Predator 2 starring Danny Glover? Easily the least seen movie in the Predator franchise, this guns-blazing sequel married the urban action genre to the sci-fi/horror vibe of the first movie, and the result is a kick-ass movie that too few action fans have seen. It didn’t set the box office on fire, but it’s at least as good as Prey and should be celebrated as a truly great Predator movie. We’ll tell you why in this episode of The Best Movie You Never Saw!
For one thing – the movie has a kick-ass hero. Danny Glover’s Mike Harrigan is more of an everyman than Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Dutch. Not the hulking military man,...

The 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards nominations are due on September 20, honoring the best music released from June 2021 through May 2022. This year the ceremony might see the return of veterans and buzzy superstars, all competing for top honors for their incredible work in Latin music. Let’s take a look at the biggest contenders.
Bad Bunny is poised to have a big nominations day. [Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for Fear The Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 11, “Ofelia.”] Daniel’s (Rubén Blades) memory loss is guiding him to believe his daughter, Ofelia (Mercedes Mason), is still alive — and because he’ll do anything to find her, that’s a real liability for Team Morgan (Lennie James). In fact, Daniel’s unreliable memory gets himself, Luciana (Danay Garcia) and Wes (Colby Hollman) into some pretty sticky situations throughout “Ofelia.” Directed by series costar Alycia Debnam-Carey, it’s an hour that pulls heavily from the show’s first three seasons; we get references to Daniel’s dark past, Nick Clark (Frank Dillane) and his relationship with Luciana, Strand (Colman Domingo) and Daniel’s history and even the Abigail. It also puts Luciana at the center of the action — something fans had long been calling for — and forces her to make a decision many might disagree with. Fear the Walking Dead has been straddling the fine line between good and bad throughout Fear the Walking Dead Season 7, but Fear the Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 11 was a step in the right direction.
If there's been one complaint about the series, it's that the characters who matter and deserve storylines are regularly sidelined or forgotten about entirely.
If you watch Fear the Walking Dead online, you know Daniel and Luciana are some of the longest-serving cast members, so their return to the forefront felt more like a way of appeasing the complaining fans.
Daniel's health has been declining for a while now, and titling the episode "Ofelia" reiterated that this outing would be a deep dive into some of the better characters.
The complicated dynamic between Daniel and Luciana has been exciting, to say the least, but it was obvious that, at times, he thought Luciana was his deceased daughter.

Rubén Blades, the award-winning salsa composer, singer, songwriter, and activist, has been inadvertently pulled into the J Balvin-Residente feud. On Thursday night, he delivered some words of advice to Residente and spectators watching the fight unfold with a quick, minute-long rap that appeared on his YouTube channel.
Residente recently shared that his tension with Balvin goes back a few years. However, their feud went fully public last year after J Balvin proposed that reggaeton stars boycott the 2021 Latin Grammys ceremony, saying that the Latin Recording Academy didn’t appreciate the genre’s artists enough.
