Early in life, Alain Zouvi was interested by
the acting scene. His mother,
Amulette Garneau, was a regular on the
television screen in Quebec at the time and she knew a lot of the
popular stage artists during those those years. Young Zouvi was thus around people such as
Michel Tremblay and
Olivier Guimond. His father, Jacques, is also an actor.
Zouvi's education was a classical one at Collège Stanislas, in
Outremont. First refused admission by the École nationale de théâtre,
he was accepted on the second try in 1978. He studied there for three
years. Zouvi then made his mark on the theater scene.
