Hollywood prop master Scott Getzinger has been killed in a traffic accident.
The film art department boss, who has worked on blockbusters including Independence Day, Die Hard 4.0 and two Spider-Man movies, died on Friday night after his truck was struck by another vehicle in Stamford, Connecticut.
The 46 year old was cut free from the wreckage and taken to Stamford Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Getzinger worked on more than 25 films throughout his career in props, and recently completed filming on new Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises and Men In Black III.
He also worked on Shutter Island, Salt, Indiana Jones and The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and Confessions of a Shopaholic.
