Mayor of Kingstown is one of the most popular political thrillers currently on TV, and while the series is on a break as of the time of writing, the series’ third season is returning on June 2, 2024, which definitely has a lot of people excited, mostly because this will be Jeremy Renner’s big comeback after the 2023 accident in which he almost lost his life. Fans are definitely excited to see the MCU alumni back in action, and there is no better place to do it than in the brilliant Mayor of Kingstown, which has just released the official trailer for Season 3!
The series has been on a break since March 2023, when the second season ended, but since it was renewed for a third season fairly quickly, fans only needed to wait for the new season, as there was no mystery surrounding the future of this popular series.

“Welcome to Kingstown,” Jeremy Renner’s Mike McLusky says in a cool manner just after a clip of him throwing someone off a roof. No pussyfooting around it, the new trailer of the successful Paramount+ series premieres (courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter) declaring that “He’s back in business.” Fans and well-wishers of Jeremy Renner may have been following his updates on his health recovery since his horrific 2023 snow plow accident. It almost seems like he hasn’t missed a beat as Renner makes his acting debut since the incident for season 3 of Mayor of Kingstown. The actor would even convey his nervousness upon returning to work in social media posts earlier this year, “Day one on set … nervous today. Hope this works out that I can Actually pull this off for our production and more importantly the fans.“

Mayor of Kingstown is a high-adrenaline series about a small town in the business of America’s prison system.
Kingstown is pushed to its limits again and again as rampant crime inside prison walls, and outside has a stranglehold on its population.

Jeremy Renner looks like he hasn’t lost a step in the first full official trailer for the long-awaited third season of Mayor of Kingstown.
Below, Renner is back in business as a Michigan crime boss in the Paramount+ series, which is from co-creators Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon.
The season marks Renner’s acting comeback following his near-fatal 2023 New Year’s Day snowplow accident. Renner returned to set one year after he was critically injured after being run over by a 14,300-pound snowcat at his home in Reno, Nevada. He had broken 38 bones and his rib cage was rebuilt with metal, along with metal plates in his face to support his eye socket and titanium rods in one of his legs.
But you wouldn’t know it from the new footage.

In theory, Netflix’s Dead Boy Detectives should be a feast for the misery wraiths, faceless creatures who feed on pain and suffering. The ghostly protagonists, Edwin (George Rexstrew) and Charles (Jayden Revri), are both teenagers bullied to death at the same British boarding school seven decades apart. They spend their time finding closure for other lost souls, like a pair of high schoolers cut down in their prime or a family slaughtered by an abusive patriarch. And they’re constantly on the run from the agents of Death, who would condemn Edwin to Hell on a technicality.
Yet the duo only ever encounter one such monster over the eight-episode first season, and perhaps that’s because despite its gloomy-sounding premise, Dead Boy Detectives is the furthest thing from dour. Dark, sure; bittersweet, sometimes. But it’s never less than entertaining, thanks to an appealingly quirky lead cast and a cheeky sense of humor.

The Mayor is back in office. Jeremy Renner has been out of commission for a year since having his unfortunate snow plow accident. As it happened at the start of the calendar year, much of his 2023 was spent rehabilitating his body after suffering blunt chest trauma and 30 broken bones. Then, earlier this January, Renner teased his return to the set, with great apprehension, when he posted a pic from the production with the caption, “Day one on set … nervous today. Hope this works out that I can Actually pull this off for our production and more importantly the fans.“ Now, the new trailer for season 3 of Mayor of Kingstown has dropped.
The logline for the season reads,
“A series of explosions rock Kingstown and its citizens, as a new face of the Russian mob sets up shop in the city, and a drug war rages inside and outside prison walls.

Jeremy Renner is back as Mike McLusky in the first trailer for the actor’s Mayor of Kingstown return.
The third season of the Taylor Sheridan Paramount+ series marks Renner’s acting comeback following his near-fatal 2023 New Year’s Day snowplow accident.
When marking being back on set after months of intense recovery, the series star had said he was nervous. “Hope this works out that I can Actually pull this off for our production and more importantly the fans,” he wrote on Instagram.

"Justice League Unlimited" is a pinnacle of superhero cartoons. Had its airing not intersected with my childhood, my fascination with comics probably wouldn't have blossomed the way it did.
The terrific final product wasn't a sign of the creators always working under ideal conditions, however. In the 2000s, Warner Bros. was quite particular about letting DC Comics characters appear in more than one show at a time, apparently out of concern that audiences would be confused by multiple versions of the same character -- hence the infamous "Bat-Embargo." 2004, the year that "Justice League Unlimited" began, also saw the premiere of "The Batman," a solo cartoon about, well, Batman, but set in a different continuity. Batman's villains and supporting cast were therefore off-limits to the "Justice League" team.

The series is a DC Comics property, however, according to the Hollywood Reporter, but didn't fit with James Gunn and Peter Safran's new plans at DC Studios. Originally intended to be a spin-off of the Max original series "Doom Patrol," it will instead be set in the same universe as Netflix's "The Sandman," the live-action adaptation of Neil Gaiman's acclaimed Vertigo comic. The Dead Boy Detectives, Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine, first appeared in "The Sandman" issue #25. True to their name, they're a pair of dead boys who decided to stay on Earth investigating crimes instead of leaving for the afterlife.

Saw X, the tenth entry in the Saw franchise, is currently in theatres (you can read our review Here) – and so far the movie has pulled in almost $60 million at the global box office, so we’re probably going to be seeing a Saw 11 sooner than later. In fact, the producers were already talking sequel before the movie was released. But during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, director Kevin Greutert, who previously directed Saw VI and Saw: The Final Chapter (and also edited the first five films, plus Jigsaw) said he intended for the movie to feel like the final send-off to the Jigsaw character.
When asked about what could be coming next for the franchise, Greutert said, “Well, we’ll just have to see what the future of Saw is. There are so many directions we could go, but for me, there’s no obvious one coming out of this film.

Franchise veterans John “Jigsaw” Kramer (Tobin Bell) and Amanda Young (Shawnee Smith) are back in action in the milestone sequel Saw X (our review), playing in theaters now. The sequel blends the old with the new, including relocating the lethal terror to Mexico. Bloody Disgusting spoke with director Kevin Greutert and production designer Anthony Stabley about how the Mexico setting informed the traps and new batch of survivors.
Watch the video interview below, where Stabley reveals what mythology he drew from when creating the production design, and how actor Paulette Hernandez‘s intensity set the bar high for the scenes that followed.
Director Kevin Greutert, the franchise’s long-term editor since 2004’s Saw, helms the tenth installment from the screenplay by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger.
Greutert, Bell, and Smith aren’t the only returning franchise vets either; producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules launched the franchise in 2004 alongside James Wan...
