Financial matters have taken center stage in the nasty divorce between former pro football player Kroy Biermann and reality TV star Kim Zolciak.
Biermann, 38, recently filed a financial report with the court, with a spreadsheet attached that detailed Zolciak’s alleged extravagant spending while they were married. The report claims that Zolciak, 45, spent over $600,000 at luxury stores such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Ave, Chanel, Versace and Agent Provocateur between 2016 and 2023.
Additionally, Biermann’s filing states that Zolciak made substantial investments in Bitcoin and the lottery, with expenses that totaled $161,912.87 in 2021 and an additional $65,966.95 in 2022. These financial revelations come as a response to Zolciak’s request for privacy and a motion to compel Biermann to provide financial documents. Biermann challenged her privacy demands and noted her public updates on social media, which range from cosmetic procedures to Botox injections. He also alleged that Zolciak has cash stashed away in a separate bank account.

Marc Bolan has been pretty well served with documentaries over the years, to the point that most fans have heard numerous anecdotes about his fabled life many times over. Ethan Silverman’s Angelheaded Hipster at least brings something new to the party by framing the story around the making of a tribute album (released a couple of years back), allowing the film to focus on Bolan’s songwriting rather than the more iconoclastic, flashy or tabloidy aspects of his life and, indeed, death.
The beats of the Bolan story, after all, are pretty well known: the working class Jewish kid dragged up in post-war London, who becomes a proto-mod at 13, spends the mid sixties, alongside David Bowie, doing everything possible to become a popstar, drifting into Tokienesque hippiedom in the psychedelic era before donning glitter on his cheeks and a feather bower to kickstart the age of glam rock in...

Superbly watchable tale of corrupt cops is led by Washington’s swaggeringly malign detective, out to bully Ethan Hawke into wrongdoing
This LA crime thriller from 2001, written by David Ayer and directed by Antoine Fuqua and with cameos from Eva Mendes, Macy Gray, Snoop Dogg and Terry Crews, is as superbly watchable as ever; it is as instantly and horribly addictive as the Pcp that Denzel Washington’s imperiously corrupt cop makes his rookie underling Ethan Hawke smoke on the job as a grisly initiation ceremony. A true narcotics cop is a drug connoisseur, he tells him with a grin, all part of imposing your personality on the streets.
When I saw this on first release I think was wary of a certain self-consciousness in Washington’s Oscar-winning performance as an LAPD officer radioactive with his own psychopathic corruption and conceit. I also ungenerously found fault with a certain final coincidence.

"His records were too out there for American audiences at that time." Dogwoof has revealed the trailer a music history documentary film titled Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan & T. Rex, by filmmaker Ethan Silverman. Everything is explained right there in the title - this film celebrates the life and work of glam rock pioneer Marc Bolan (who died in 1977 at the age of 29) while portraying a behind-the-scenes look at the tribute album of the same name produced by Hal Wilner. This first premiered at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival last year, with a UK release set for September, though still no US debut confirmed yet. It seems like a comprehensive look at the life and music of Marc Bolan & T. Rex, along with a contemporary attempt to modernize and pay homage to his music with other musicians reworking his creations. Tons of people are featured in this, including musicians like Nick Cave,...

Brittany Aldean still has last week’s online altercation with Maren Morris and Cassadee Pope on her mind.
Aldean got into it with Maren Morris and Cassadee Pope last week, drawing secondary responses from Morris’ husband — Ryan Hurd — and Brittany’s husband, Jason Aldean. Brittany made a remark about gender identity on Aug. 23 that rubbed some people the wrong way.
“I’d really like to thank my parents for not changing my gender when I went through my tomboy phase,” Brittany wrote at the time. “I love this girly life.”
After getting dragged through the country mud by Morris and Pope, Brittany nudged at the barbs while promoting her merchandise and an affiliated nonprofit on Tuesday.
“Per usual, my words have been taken out of context over the last week,” Aldean wrote on Tuesday. “Instead of getting twisted about the twisting of my words, I’ve chosen to bring some good out of it.

In the weeks following the Supreme Court’s June 24 decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, entities across the political spectrum have engaged in a flurry of polarizing and impassioned debates. Recent comments — especially from those with large platforms and heightened visibility — have shown that much like gender is not a binary understanding of personhood, viewpoints on the topic can be more fluid than they seem. What remains consistent, however, is the growing number of organizations using gender-neutral language as the default in conversations about abortion rights and access for all people.
Since abortion is linked to language surrounding the reproductive system, many organizations and journalists reporting on the news have adopted more gender-inclusive language to talk about pregnancy and the termination of it — embracing an expanded view of abortion rights and how people’s identities and bodies are understood. Lynda Carter is reminding fans that being a Wonder Woman isn’t just about being a cis woman.

At the outset of Ethan Silverman’s documentary “Angelheaded Hipster: The Songs of Marc Bolan & T. Rex,” Billy Idol relays an anecdote about Marc Bolan — the magnetic songwriter and frontman of the English glam rock band T. Rex — getting booed by a crowd of 175,000 at a festival in 1971.
If you’ve heard of Bolan or even heard a single song by T. Rex (you have), it’s no surprise that the anecdote ends with Bolan melting the crowd’s faces with an hour of his churning, groovy guitars and sensually laconic singing, battering his guitar strings with a tambourine and receiving a 15-minute standing ovation in the process.
That’s just the kind of rock star Marc Bolan was, and his charisma is still so powerful, 45 years after his death at the age of 30, that it threatens to derail the focus of the documentary. That focus is ostensibly about the...

Monday night on “American Song Contest,” Jewel was eliminated after failing to earn enough votes from the viewers and the national jury. The four-time Grammy nominee and recent “The Masked Singer” winner performed her uplifting original song “The Story” last week on NBC’s reality TV show, but it failed to connect with viewers. Heads up: even though she’s saying goodbye for now, Jewel still has a shot of returning to the program as a wildcard. How does it work?
As revealed in earlier weeks, there will be two “redemption” artists invited back to the show during the Semi-Finals round. “Show ’em love by streaming their music,” host Snoop Dogg said last week, implying the two eliminated acts who earn the most downloads will be the ones that return.
Jewel is in good company. One week ago, Macy Gray was eliminated from “American Song Contest” following her performance of her original tune “Every Night.

Macy Gray shockingly eliminated from ‘American Song Contest’ after ‘Every Night’ performance [Watch]
Macy Gray, one of the biggest stars to step foot on the “American Song Contest” stage, has just been shockingly eliminated from the competition. The “I Try” Grammy winner performed her new single “Every Night” during the second week of NBC’s reality TV show (watch above), but failed to rank high enough from the jury of 56 industry professionals to advance automatically. Macy’s fate then rested in the hands of viewers at home, which gave her a leg up due to her nationwide name recognition. However, it was revealed in the third week that the audience chose to send three other participants to the semi-finals instead.
Heads up: Macy still has a shot of re-entering the competition at a later date, as NBC has promised there will be two “redemption” artists that return to the show. “Show ’em love by streaming their music,” host Snoop Dogg said on Monday night.
