The pucks drop for real in less than a month, and the NHL is suiting up for this season’s all-access preseason docuseries. Behind the Glass: Los Angeles Kings Training Camp will follow the SoCal club through its two exhibition games in Australia and the intensity, drama and competition of an NHL preseason.
Premiering on Monday, October 2, on NHL Network, the three-episode Behind the Glass will give an insider’s look at the Kings’ trip to the Southern Hemisphere when they play the Arizona Coyotes in Melbourne on September 23 and 24. This year’s edition of the NHL Global Series will mark the league’s first-ever games played in Australia. Beginning this week in L.A., players will be featured away from the rink and mic’d up as they compete to solidify their spot on the roster and prepare for the regular season opener on October 11 against the Colorado Avalanche.

Friends and family gathered on Sunday to honor Alan Thicke, who died at age 69 on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack while playing hockey at a skating rink in Burbank, California.
A source tells Et that about 150 people attended the beautiful, heartfelt memorial service that took place at Thicke's ranch in Carpinteria, California, an oceanside city near Santa Barbara.
The source adds that the actor's son, singer Robin Thicke, and his two brothers welcomed guests, and were specific in wanting something upbeat and beautiful to celebrate their dad's life.
Robin hosted the service, the source says, telling stories about his father, and inviting guests up to share stories of their own about Alan, after starting the night off with a prayer.
Stars like Bob Saget, Bill Maher, Alex Trebek and the entire cast of Growing Pains, including Leonardo DiCaprio, spoke about how much Alan had meant to them. Kris Jenner sat next to Alan's widow, Tanya, for the...

Sundance is overcrowding Main Street already early Friday, and it didn’t take long for the deal-making to begin. P.S. I Love You takes the Canada-extravaganza of How I Met Your Mother to a whole new level. The show consistently makes Canada jokes and references, so I didn’t think we’d see an episode where the usual Canadian humor would be put to shame, but tonight definitely did just that.
The episode features jokes about Tim Horton’s and donuts throughout, constant references to the politeness of the residents of the great white north, and even appearances by basically every Canadian star of the 90s imaginable. I mean we had K.D. Lang, Jason Priestley, Alex Trebek, Paul Shaffer, Steven Page, Luc Robitaille, Geddy Lee, and Dave Coulier. Who more could you want?
The catalyst to the Canadian onslaught is a discussion about stalkers, and whether someone has to be a total nut to become obsessed. Ted likes to reference the Dobler/Dahmer Theory, which says that whether a...

For the fourth time, How I Met Your Mother is embarking into Robin’s Canadian pop star past and it looks like it could be final time. After the last venture in Robin Sparkles territory – Season 6’s less than pleasing “Glitter” – we’re due for a better class of episode, and we just might be getting just that considering some of the big names attached to guest star in the upcoming episode. “P.S. I Love You” is bringing back a few big names from earlier episodes, one of who appeared in the last great Robin Sparkles installment, “Sandcastles in the Sand.” You can catch a glimpse of these famous faces in the new promo photos.
The episode follows the usual plot points of the three preceding Robin Sparkles episodes: Barney uncovers a buried relic from Robin’s past and can’t help but show it off to everyone. In this case,...

Oh Canada, you shouldn't have!
The Feb. 4 episode of "How I Met Your Mother" will feature a whole host of Canadian guest stars -- Alan Thicke, Alex Trebek and k.d. lang are only a few. Honestly, it's almost like the whole population of Canada is turning out to honor Robin Sparkles! And we have the video to prove it.
Most of the time, when networks have a casting announcement to make, they just send out a press release or tell some reporter the name. Not this time. Instead, CBS has created a video -- set to the Canadian national anthem, of course -- to tell us about the rather impressive list of Canadian talent coming to "How I Met Your Mother" in February.
Why are they coming? CBS hasn't given that away yet, but the answer definitely has something to do with the return of Robin Sparkles, the alter-ego...

Season 2 MasterChef winner Jennifer Behm is a food lover, owner of Pink Martini Catering, a soon-to-be wife, an adventurer - and, this summer, a food blogger for People.com. Here's her latest update. As I was growing up, my mom was the ultimate armchair quarterback for Sunday football, and my 107-year-old great-grandmother - yeah, I said 107 - could name All the Philadelphia Phillies stats from memory.
