Marvel’s dark new vision of the Avengers set in the far-flung future is portrayed in the comic book; Avengers: Twilight by writer Chip Zdarksy and artist Daniel Acuna. The comic book is set in a dystopic future decades after H-Day: Hero Day, which is a national tragedy and a day of reckoning for the superhero community that leveled up and killed hundreds, including Spider-Man and the Hulk.
The comic book introduces the readers to James Stark; son of Tony Stark and Janet van Dye. In the Avengers: Twilight #3, James Stark debuts his own Iron Man armor which reportedly surpasses his father’s original suit. The character goes ahead and sets up a tragic dynamic for the comic book’s final stretch.

How the hell has Kieron Gillen never written a summer event comic before?
Gillen is the writer behind Eisner- and Hugo-nominated comics such as perennial Den of Geek favorites Once & Future and The Wicked + The Divine. But even before that, he was part of that mid-aughts wave of Image writers who took over Marvel’s flagship books. Gillen wrote a couple of excellent Utopia-era X-Men books (Generation Hope and Uncanny X-Men), as well as a beloved run with Kid Loki that helped inspire one Disney+ show and a relaunch of Young Avengers with Jamie McKelvie that is likely going to have an impact on the MCU further down the line. And yet, somehow, his first blockbuster comics crossover is out in 2022.

The new Cap apparently didn’t think it would happen for him 7 years before “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”
The finale of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” finally gave the people what they want: Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) confirmed as the new Captain America. And we know a lot of fans are (understandably) finding the whole thing extremely heartwarming.
But even more heartwarming is the time 7 years ago, when the comic book version of Sam Wilson became Captain America, and Mackie celebrated the milestone even though he apparently believed it was never going to happen for him.
So quick recap: In the final episode, which we need to just say out loud wrapped up the Flag Smashers and John Walker stuff really uh, uncomfortably quick, Sam debuted the hybrid Falcon/Captain America suit we definitely knew the Wakandans made for him last week.

This May, Marvel is celebrating the launch of Black Panther #1 by Ta-Nehisi Coates and Daniel Acuña with an Artgerm variant cover featuring Wakanda’s Shuri.
Black Panther #1 is a creative challenge for me. My first few books were more philosophical, and while that still rings true here, this is a fast-paced, high-octane story,” said Coates. “And with Daniel Acuña’s art, I think people are really going to feel the energy and intensity here. I wanted people to feel like this is a really fresh storyline, and I think we succeeded in that. It’s meaty, it’s different, and it’s perfect for new readers just coming to the world of T’Challa and Black Panther.

Nick Spencer goes full out Ant-Man levels of hilarious, and readers won’t be ready for this third issue. It’s a quick few pages detailing on how Misty takes no shit, even from Sam and is a capable part of Sam’s entire operation. When you consider the fact that Uncanny Avengers was marketed early on as the flag-ship Marvel Now title, it has been very disappointing. The book was released on a very erratic basis due to delays on John Cassaday’s art. When it finally was released it was gorgeous in some places and very sloppy in others. It’s hard to build a new universe around a book hit with these kinds of delays.
Issue 5 sees those problems start to fall away; because Uncanny Avengers will soon have a new regular artist, Daniel Acuña. The only problem is that Acuña doesn’t start until the next issue. But this month we have a great fill in drawn by Olivier Coipel.
I have been a big fan of Coipel since his run on Thor a few years ago. This book doesn’t really have that magic that some of his other work has had,...

Thanks to Newsarama, we have the following preview of Avengers #18 as well as two teasers for November's Fantastic Four #600 and a mysterious new arc in January's Journey Into Mystery. Marvel seem to be teasing a lot of story arcs which aren't set to debut until next year, so whether any of these will be elaborated upon in the upcoming Point One one-shot is unclear. All we do know is that the Fantastic Four will clearly have their hands full in #600 (released next month) and after five consecutive teasers, we still have no indication whether Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, will indeed return. Certainly Santa doesn’t just visit the ordinary citizens of the world – even super heroes should have a shot at making it onto the “nice” list. Join Wayne and Lanny, members of an elite unit of elves who prepare homes for Santa’s arrival on Christmas Eve, in their not-so-ordinary task of preparing the Avengers Headquarters for the “Big Guy’s” arrival. Personally, I'm a Huge fan of Daniel Acuña's art, and am very excited about the news that he'll soon be taking over from John Romita Jr. as the main artist on The Avengers. It's what in these preview pages (released by Brian Michael Bendis via his Twitter account earlier today) that's interesting though. While the Hydra Hulks are sure to be a fun threat to see the team of heroes face off against, it's the Civil War flashback I'm most intrigued by. What is up with that S.H.I.E.L.D agent stealing one of the dead Goliath's hairs?...
