- Joey Ambrose was the saxophone player for Bill Haley and the Comets in 1954 and 1955, most notably playing on the famous recording, "Rock Around the Clock." He quit the Comets in late 1955 to form The Jodimars along with fellow Comets Dick "Richards" Bocelli and Marshall Lytle. After the Jodimars broke up, he became a pit boss at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. In 1987 he rejoined The Comets and as of late 1999 continues to perform and record with the band. He is also a popular session musician.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
- Joey D'Ambrosio (aka Joey Ambrose) who turns 85 in March of 2019, is still playing today in 2019 in Bowzer's Rock & Roll Party shows, from Connecticut to Florida, along with band-mate, drummer Dick Boccelli (aka Dick Richards who is 95 years young). Jon "Bowzer" Bauman is best known for his deep bass voice in the vocal group Sha Na Na and the TV show of the same name. Joey D'Ambrosio and Dick Boccelli are the last two surviving members of the original Bill Haley's Comets. Joey is the last member of the Comets to have played on all of the hit records between 1952 and 1955 like, Rock Around the Clock, Shake, Rattle and Roll, See You Later Alligator, Rocket 88, Crazy Man, Crazy, Dim Dim the Lights, Rock-A-Beatin' Boogie, Happy Baby and Burn That Candle. Bill Haley was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, six years after his death, but without the Comets. That oversight was corrected on April 14, 2012 when they were both inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame along with the other original Comets, Billy Williamson, Johnny Grande, Marshall Lytle, Franny Beecher and Danny Cedrone who played guitar on Rock Around the Clock, but unfortunately died from an accident shortly after. Also inducted were Rudy Pompilli, Ralph Jones and Al Rex, the new Comets who replaced Joey D'Ambrosio, Dick Boccelli, and Marshall Lytle after they quit Bill Haley in 1955.- IMDb Mini Biography By: William "Liam" Kelly
